Reform UK neck and neck with Labour?

1000 replies

NeatDog · 10/01/2025 11:09

Absolutely shocked to read that in a poll Reform UK are neck and neck with Labour...

About 25% polling share for Reform and Labour.

I thought Blair was the worst PM ever, but Starmer seems to be giving him a run for his money.

Once given status, refugees have the same priority as British citizens. Where did you get your evidence for the 2022 statistic?

Google it.

We know this, and this is what upsets me about these debates.

We need people like you. You are welcome. One of the issues we have here is that the powers that be don’t want to single out those who collectively don’t contribute, or break laws, who rape and abuse. They hide these people in the massive pot. So, if you talk about these issues you are a racist, a bigot, and a far right supporter. You are saying all immigrants are not contributing, are abusers.

In a telegraph article posted here yesterday it said how Starmer doesn’t want to admit that a certain group of men don’t treat women like humans. He conceded by saying they are Asians. Now how f*cking insulting is that? Now I’ve lived in Asia, so I know that there are many different nationalities and cultures making up “Asia”. It’s a massive insult to all the “Asian” people in this country to use this broad term to describe those child rapists.

And yes, we know that these people, these immigrants, are pissed off too at not being able to access services they contribute their taxes to, and at being tarred with the same brush as those who move here and create havoc whilst milking the cow dead.

If I am being honest here, I agree calling them Asians in this case. It is the fact, if we stop stating facts, then we are lost. It doesn't mean ALL Asians are bad, but there's a systemic problem in certain communities where this happened more than in other communities. And we shouldn't be afraid to state the facts.

In my own country, a Muslim one, there are some areas where it was acceptable until recently for old grandpa to marry 6-7 years old which is of course absolutely disgusting.

Reform got more than 4 million votes despite being new and untested. Labour limped in with 9 million out of a possible 46 million, and only managed that because the Tories were so detested.

Starmer took the knee for BLM, and paid for members of the Labour party to go and interfere in American politics to try to get Harris elected then whined about foreign interference in his own politics when Musk brought the Muslim Pakistani rape gangs to the attention of the world.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/black-lives-matter-keir-starmer-labour-take-knee-george-floyd-funeral-a9557166.html

He stripped the fuel allowance from pensioners despite claiming in the past that this would kill at least 4000 pensioners.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/winter-fuel-payment-cut-labour-deaths-b2609340.html

His policies have caused outrage amongst farmers and millions of their supporters. He has now added a new tax for education.

He did not let out even a whisper about these plans before the election despite them being enormous changes affecting many UK citizens.

When the decisions were made not to prosecute Pakistani Muslim rape gangs he was serving as the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in the UK from 2008 to 2013, overseeing the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). The police need permission from this service to prosecute crimes.

He failed to vote for an national enquiry into Pakistani Muslim rape gangs in the last week but ordered his MPs to vote against it.

Many have become very concerned that he attended a communist training camp in Czecoslovakia in 1986, and edited a communist magazine in his early 20s.

If an election was called today, Reform would win in a landslide. That's an opinion. The rest of this comment is simple fact, and will remain true no matter how much that upsets you, or how many names you call me.

I totally agree and Reform policies are not far right. They are common sense.

ilovesooty · 10/01/2025 15:05

caringcarer · 10/01/2025 14:33

Reform already have traction in most parts of the UK. They have overtaken the Conservative party in terms of full paid up members on Boxing day. Did you know Nigel has over a million young followers on TikTok between the ages of 15 and 17. Watch out at the next election when these are old enough to vote. By comparison Labour inflict NIC tax rises to employers which stops our economy from growth. Reform would reverse this to encourage growth. Reform offers a rise in the threshold for how much you get free from paying tax on before you pay tax on the remainder. Labour by comparison has frozen this threshold until 2028 meaning fiscal drag with more part time and low paid workers getting dragged into paying more tax. Labour supports the 2 child benefit cap. By comparison Reform do not support this 2 child benefit gap recognising children are the future of the workforce. Labour don't want an independent enquiry into child rape gangs. Reform want a full independent inquiry. Labour don't want pensioners to get WFA. Reform would give this WFA back to all pensioners. Labour MP's actively campaigned for illegal immigrants who had a prison record of violence to be allowed to stay and seem happy to pay billions to keep these people in 4* hotels, Reform want to take all illegal immigrants back to the country they crossed from and want the tax payers money to be spent on people from the UK including homeless veterans. People can decide at the next election which policies they prefer.

I hope they'll be asking how all this will be paid for.

caringcarer · 10/01/2025 15:06

HappyPanda613 · 10/01/2025 13:18

I don’t have contempt for anybody at all, I just think people should be able to hit an educational threshold to be eligible to vote on serious matters like national governance.

It would solve most of our problems instantly.

Out of interest HappyPanda what is this minimum level of education you think should be used? It seems to me you want to go back in time when only some groups were franchised to vote.

So it’s OK to include Malaysians, Indonesians, Philippines, Thai, Cambodian, Indians, Sri Lankans etc. in the pot when referring to gang child rapists?

I absolutely disagree. Whilst it’s so diluted, it won’t be addressed. How absolutely insulting to other Asians to be tarred with the same brush.

It’s like saying “all Caucasians” are responsible for Hitler and Germany’s atrocities in the past.

HappyPanda613 · 10/01/2025 15:08

Has anybody stopped to think about what the millions of immigrants who live and work and call this country home think about the rise of political parties that advocate for the removal of people like them? Do you not understand how hurtful this must be to hear on a daily basis? You seek to divide people based upon nothing more than the geography of which they came, and not the character or the ability or indeed even the positives that they can bring to all of our lives.

We cannot be allowed to let divisive political parties steal the narrative. There is so much we need to do, as honest liberal women on this board and in society at large. Please, step up.

It is accepted MN practice for posters to provide links to back up the claims they make. Or at least it used to be.

Your reply smacks of the "do your own research" trope so beloved of certain groups of people.

I conclude that you have no concrete evidence for your claim.

No, because specifically it is mostly made up of Pakistani males. Let's be specific and state facts here. Never heard of Malay, Indonesians, Thai gangs raping kids systematically.

I'm an immigrant, but I find you incredibly condescending. I can understand the rise of Reform though I think it's so unpalatable for people to vote for due to some elements in the party. If only there is a true centrist party as an option.

FFS read your posts on here and then come back to say:
"You seek to divide people based upon nothing more than the geography of which they came, and not the character or the ability or indeed even the positives that they can bring to all of our lives"

You are the one denigrating groups of people and wanting to ban political parties. You are the one saying some people haven't got enough intelligence to vote.

This has to be a wind up!!

Crikeyalmighty · 10/01/2025 15:18

Maybe those with such marvellous 'common sense ' solutions as they feel Teform has might like to come on here with their real world solutions within the current budgetary restrictions of course that won't impact on work forces, business , the economy , international relations - so we can all assess them

ReflectAndLearn · 10/01/2025 15:18

It is the Government who won’t allow us to single out those who are causing issues. I don’t believe the British people to be racists. If the government said tomorrow that they were turfing out every immigrant, and dual nationality who had committed a crime, or were milking the system, and halting immigration for those who can’t live alongside us all cohesively, do you honestly think people would be voting for Reform? Or would they feel they’ve been heard and the issues addressed?

The UK takes less than 1% of the world's refugees.

And they don't get free money and houses.

You sound very uninformed op.

Of course refugees get free money....

They also get put up In hotels.

On the one hand many Brits are struggling to pay bills and get accommodation. Then the next minute some "asylum seeker" comes from France and gets put up in a hotel and gets free money.

Then if you question this you get called a "far right extremist".

It's no wonder people are moving away from Labour and the Tories.
