Apologies if this has been done a million times before, haven't been on here that long

But aaaaaaargh

Why post asking for opinions then get all huffy if the opinion makes you feel bad or isn't what you want to hear?

Have just encountered this a LOT today and it frankly puts me off posting on any thread which asks for my honest opinion.

Note: I will not be offended by any opinion on this topic

i saw that happen only today and pmsl, some woman looking for reassurance that her pfb (and yes, i do hate that term but that is sooooo how she came across) was G&T in the teething dept. lolol.

tissy · 04/05/2008 12:54

I'll definitely subscribe to that one!

bergentulip · 04/05/2008 12:55

or two separate boards - sensitive fairies post here' and 'mealymouthed opinionated hardnuts post here'

HereComeTheGirls · 04/05/2008 12:56

Surely the latter would apply to the whole of mumsnet already?

Yes Aitch, that was what prompted this thread, I was one of the wicked people who dared to suggest that perhaps she had miscounted the teeth, shame on me, I didn't realise that was such a minefield!!

HereComeTheGirls · 04/05/2008 13:03

'My child can count to 100 at the age of 10 mths. Are they gifted?'

One of the worst ones.

You have to say 'Get thee to Mensa, you Super Mum, you' or they start crying about how hard it is to have a supremely intellectually gifted child and that you parents of mere average 10 mth olds who can just about dribble a few ba ba's wouldn't understand.

HereComeTheGirls · 04/05/2008 13:06

or.."my child can walk early, are they gifted"? Not that I am bitter because my 18mo old can't of course

  • but I console myself with the fact she can count to 10 and has lots of hair - now I have nothing left to live for

AitchTwoCiao · 04/05/2008 13:14

...but how many TEETH??!!

HereComeTheGirls · 04/05/2008 13:15

She has failed..she only has 16 baby teeth instead of all of her adult teeth. ~cries~

OP posts:
HereComeTheGirls · 04/05/2008 13:16

She does however have 10 fingers and 10 toes..is she gifted?

OP posts:
AitchTwoCiao · 04/05/2008 13:20

no

LaComtesse · 04/05/2008 13:20

10 fingers? That is talented.

Shame about no thumbs though .

HereComeTheGirls · 04/05/2008 13:21

Aitch - how dare you, you are just jealous of her extreme finger growing talent!!

LaComtesse - touche!
