My dog has disgraced herself this morning.

Off the lead and enjoying a run around, we were the only people in that area of the national trust park,
It was closed to cars and not many people brave (or stupid) enough to walk.

We stumbled upon a lovely little family of snowmen,
however the one that she could reach was a really small but brilliant feathers McGraw with a carrot for a beak. I was going to take a photo and realised she's pinched his beak and ate it!

She's never stolen anything before but she was so fast!

1. apologise
2. offer to pay for any damage
3. if a child has been hurt, talk to the child and explain what happened
4. if possible bring the dog back once things are calm and try to show a good less scary side

Uncalled for. I was not winding people up. I am fed up of dog owners thinking it’s funny that their dog nicked something off a child.

She/he/they poop seat is back to have a rant at us for not sympathising with he she it for wanting to set an X-Large bully on us all because someone else ( not us) stole her sausage roll.

We had a dog who had surgery and we had to put the cone of shame on one other dog because she was licking his wound for him 🤮

years ago people were setting up for a kids football match their bags were open on the floor mine ran over nicked a sausage roll and started to eat it, i was so shocked they just laughed,

And if you read my post properly, you would have seen that my sister was on the receiving end of a dog nicking something when she was a child. Because she had a parent who was totally normal and explained about dog behaviour, my sister grew up understanding dogs and in fact, as an adult, got the exact breed.

I have had a dog and my response was totally normal.

That’s not judgement that’s just wrong.

I relayed two experiences that changed how my DS experiences dogs now due to poor owner behaviour in this exact situation. All I have got since then is abuse and judgement from all of you.

So keep on laughing, but it’s you who looks unhinged, unkind and like the kind of person that might sadly do this.

You’ll see now that the majority of your posts and others have been deleted for contravening MN standards for interacting on this forum.

I suggest watching some Brene Brown to learn how to interact without dehumanising someone who has a valid point of view. Just because you don’t agree with me, though I feel I’ve made some strong points, doesn’t mean to say you get to call me names and tell me F off.

I would ask instead for some compassion for those that have issues with dogs and instead of leaping to defensiveness to try and understand what has gone wrong.

Botton line: dogs nicking stuff from random small kids who have never met them before and may be the same size as them is not ok.
