What on earth is going on with him. Calling for Nagel Farage to resign. Now wanting the PM to resign amd said we have a tyrannical government. It's all a bit odd.

Elon Musk was born nutty to two nutty people.
Take a good look at his parents and you can’t arrive at any other conclusion.
But besides being nutty, they’re terrible, awful, abhorrent people.

Oh it is hilarious because the more wound up people are getting the more they are doing exactly what Musk wants. I find it utterly bizarre that people so against Musk are so happily playing his game and giving him what he likes and wants. can you honestly not see that?

I have adhd, that makes me great at spotting games people are playing and the rewards people get from playing games like this.

if you want to keep giving Musk what he wants keep arguing, get more extreme. If you don’t want to help musk just pat him on the head, say “it’s a perspective” and move on.

It is naïve in the extreme to think that "Elon" (your buddy?), not to mention Trump, is serving anyone's interests but his own and those tied to his. You just couldn't accrue that much money without being pathologically selfish. I am perfectly aware of the problems in this world but my approach and values are basically the opposite to theirs - no "waking up" required at all.

He's also happy to support the near total ban on abortion across US states, In Texas a doctor who carries out an abortion could face up to 99 years in prison. Hardly my body, my rights. Women can be awful to other women too. Some women will seek a kind of power that sees them probably getting what is denied to other women. The women under Trump will have power but that doesn't mean that they're on the side of women.

Wrt what's happening in the UK. Musk doesn't research. He gets a lot of his information from far right sites and individuals. The grooming and trafficking scandals are horrendous but there has been a seven year government investigation into everything that happened when he claims there hasn't. The problem was the government at the time didn't pay proper attention to it. The government now need to do that rather than have another investigation. I'm not a big fan of Jess Phillips but have huge respect for her keeping the names of murdered women in the public eye and the work she does for violence against women. If you think that it's okay to call someone who does that a rape apologist then frankly I pity you.

The UK is so far from perfect but what Musk wants for us is to be another racist right wing state, not to improve important things like health, education, the ability to own your own home or even afford private rent. He doesn't give a fuck about that because therein lies profits for his fellow billionaire arseholes. If you think he really gives a shit about women or the real problems in your life you're more of a fool than some of your posts indicate. I understand that you'll think I'm the fool and we're all welcome to our opinions but just because Musk is all about free speech doesn't mean he's about the truth. Far from it.

He makes me think of a James Bond baddy. All that money and who knows what crazy ideas.

I’m sure there are lots of people/bots on MN backing all sides of various arguments it’s just this seems to be a standard phrase thrown at people now where people cannot argue effectively. As I said, I’ve had it thrown at me several times over the past few days but I can assure you I’m human, I’m British, I’m female and a long time poster (and MN know that).

There does seem to be a bit of a sinister shift over the last couple of weeks both here and several groups I moderate and certain patterns have been emerging. It’s not a left/right thing - it’s a globalisation v individual thing.

I think as global resources dwindle the concept of nation states is going to be increasingly eroded (or at least that’s the direction of travel). Old rules are going to disappear and make way for new structures of power, that transcend national boundaries- some people are for that some against!

It's an absolute joke that there are people who think Musk has "radical ideas" on things like government spending and regulation. His plan is to deregulate so that businesses make more money while the environment and safety is degraded and cut spending so the poor are left to fend for themselves.

Nothing radical about it, just the same old shite.
