What on earth is going on with him. Calling for Nagel Farage to resign. Now wanting the PM to resign amd said we have a tyrannical government. It's all a bit odd.

my friend has a theory that its all to drum up twitter/x publicity and drive people to the platform and keep eyes on it.

he's got governments bringing him up constantly and politicians who've previously left jumping on the post statement and broadcast on spaces.

As he gets trump into gov't twitter will become a keys comms arm of the US state

You have a smart friend.

I know it meant all women - I’m asking the poster which ‘women’s rights’ are they meaning exactly?
I gave President Trump’s team as an example of a pretty important republican who employs many women in top positions. So it would be strange for him not to respect women’s rights, no?

I wanted the poster to give me an example of what Republicans want to do with women’s rights.

Ooh, ooh I know this one!
Trad-wives, isn't it called?

Do you think that everybody has to agree with abortion/full term abortion? 🤔

I think it’s fine for people to disagree with it. And I think those people should refrain from having abortions.

Donttellempike · 06/01/2025 21:12

Verbena17 · 06/01/2025 21:04

I really haven’t fallen down rabbit holes of anything thanks.
And no, I don’t think you’re a fool. How could I? I don’t know you and wouldn’t be so mean as to call you a fool.

Republicans are protecting the lives babies, and no I don’t just mean blastocysts and embryos. I mean babies, who just like in New Zealand would have been able to be aborted right up to birth, then left to die without pain relief.
I don’t see anything wrong in banning abortion with the exception of rape and danger to the mother’s life, so no different to republicans.

Edited

Shame the Republicans don’t give a toss about the babies once born. Or if they get wiped out with an assault rifle when in school.

it’s all about controlling women. The end

Mumlaplomb · 06/01/2025 21:12

Yes it’s worrying. Not sure why Elon has suddenly lurched to the far right and is now so far right than Nigel Farage seems a sensible centrist by comparison. Also worrying that he owns Twitter (I’m not calling it x) and therefore can control some social media and spread his dubious political beliefs.

Gtfto2024 · 06/01/2025 21:13

This thread is so funny. So much shit being posted at the altar of the Elon. What you give, you shall receive, and that God is getting a whole heap of shit in his name.

OonaStubbs · 06/01/2025 21:13

I don't like Musk but he's doing a good job of shaking things up. Why on earth is Starmer so afraid of an enquiry into the child sex gangs?

cessnaflyer · 06/01/2025 21:13

Gtfto2024 · 06/01/2025 18:42

Musk is no hero. He's a coward using the trauma of women and children to further his agenda. That's utterly despicable.

I think you'll find it's the other way around. Everybody has been talking about it when it was hoped it would slide under the rug. Do you know that the victims have said that they are ecstatic that people are talking about this.

Some of you love being outraged.

He’s not. There’s been an inquiry, the report has 20 recommendations which are now being implemented.

Dudes not wrong tho

Place has been run like shit for decades, wish we had entrepreneurial leadership, we need it desperately ‼️

Entrepreneurial leadership? What does that even mean? It’s governance of a country, not a pyramid selling scheme.

Because nobody is allowed to hold multifacted views on the topic of abortion. Women should be allowed to talk about all sides of the abortion debate. Too many women on here tell grieving women to shut up if they feel depressed after an abortion and it stinks.

Because he'd prefer to spend time implementating the recommendations of the multiple enquiries that have already been carried out than set up a new one to tell us what we already know.

ColourBlueColourPurple · 06/01/2025 21:16

Is he actually taking the piss with his absurdity and having one big laugh at all our expenses?

Or perhaps this is a ruse between Farage and Musk for Farage to seem reasonable by distancing himself from Musk and by extension, Tommy Robinson?

That is not what was said. At all

icelolly12 · 06/01/2025 21:17

I wonder if there's some serious trauma in Elon Musk's past. Just thinking how he jumped to accuse the Thai caves rescuer of being a paedophile and now his fixation on the grooming gangs.

Verbena17 · 06/01/2025 21:17

cardibach · 06/01/2025 21:09

Full term abortion isn’t a thing.
You don’t have to agree with any sort of abortion. You don’t have the right to dictate other people can’t though.

I’m literally not dictating anything! The other poster said about women’s rights and mentioned abortion and the Republican party.

If you think full term abortion isn’t a thing in NewZealand….

There are court papers for him to share. He can share them because
a) men were prosecuted and jailed, and
b) it wasn’t covered up - the court papers are in the public domain.
I don’t get how you can’t see this.

Why are there more threads on Elon Musk, Farage, quitting Twitter/X etc than there are about the rape gangs themselves and the information circulating about them?

Information such as: several of these people "prosecuted" were released after 2 years, many were never even questioned let alone prosecuted, no-one in the police/social work/councils who covered it up were prosecuted...

Talking about what the government plans to do about it is not "playing Elon's game"! It's to our shame if it took him tweeting about it to get everyone talking about it!

We don’t need anything. The victims don’t want yet another inquiry. They want the government to crack on with implementing the recommendations of the 2022 one.

He’s not. There’s been one. It took 7 years and reported in 2022. It covered all kinds of child sexual abuse. The then Tory government (Women and Equalities Minister one Kemi Badenoch) refused to enact its recommendations. Labour are doing so - and they started before Elon was wound up.
Don’t be taken in by lies.
You can read about the investigation , find the report and look at t(e recommendations here. https://www.iicsa.org.uk

He’s not. There’s been an inquiry, the report has 20 recommendations which are now being implemented.

I think this is a specific enquiry into the gangs that have been and are still operating in Oldham - the locals wanted a national level enquiry, Labour refused this in December 2024 and said it should happen locally. Many people think that this will lead to a cover up. People are angry that Labour have pushed this inquiry back to a situation that is unlikely to uncover the truth. This has caused people to question why Labour are insisting on a local inquiry
