What on earth is going on with him. Calling for Nagel Farage to resign. Now wanting the PM to resign amd said we have a tyrannical government. It's all a bit odd.

He’s a clever bloke but an egomaniac. And to me it just looks like a case of throwing money at stuff and chatting shit on X with culture war bollocks is a a slightly easier way to get attention than previous goal of landing a manned craft on Mars.

WestwardHo1 · 06/01/2025 20:43

I think because that poster basically accused MNers of being hysterical and shrill.

Seemed kind of misogynistic.

Unfortunate choice of words but I’ve seen some posting on here over the last few days on various threads that is becoming increasingly manic and frenzied - I’m actually starting to become genuinely concerned about some posters. People need to take a breath, re-centre and think about what is happening.

SoeurFayre · 06/01/2025 20:49

it’s really hilarious how wound up everyone is getting

I really do not understand this type of statement, common in soft defence of the likes of Musk, Trump, Farage, etc

Why is it funny?? Let alone hilarious?

Public reaction is a good thing. We should be outraged or supportive of what we believe in or disagree with so comments like these are aimed to disparage reactions.

BE as reactive as you like, especially if you don't like and celebrate being wound up. It shows you care.

Providing "hilarity" for limited people such as this poster is a small price to pay.

BananaNirvana · 06/01/2025 20:47

It’s about ALL women not just the powerful women who work with him.

I know it meant all women - I’m asking the poster which ‘women’s rights’ are they meaning exactly?
I gave President Trump’s team as an example of a pretty important republican who employs many women in top positions. So it would be strange for him not to respect women’s rights, no?

I wanted the poster to give me an example of what Republicans want to do with women’s rights.

notprincehamlet · 06/01/2025 20:49

not if he has better sources of information than what the public currently know
What like twitter? He owns the sources, the news can be and say whatever he wants.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/01/2025 20:50

I'm just waiting to see the massive shitshow which is going to happen when Trump gets annoyed with Musk.

Which won't be far off. Trump doesn't like people who try to steal his thunder.

Verbena17 · 06/01/2025 20:35

You mean the ‘apparent’ attack on the capitol?
It was basically a guided tour if you watch the footage.
Did you not see how the police ushered people in?
Watch Trump’s speech when he asked people to go home in peace.

You’ll realise that MSM lied and nothing was quite as it seemed.
Nancy Pelosi was offered the National Guard by DJT multiple times for Jan 6 2020.
She said no.

Are you quite well?

FancyAnotherCuppa · 06/01/2025 20:50

Verbena17 · 06/01/2025 20:40

Women’s rights?

Wow.

Reproductive and women’s health rights. Limiting access to contraception, abortion and changing the definition of rape in order to access an abortion.

Along with looking to remove no fault divorce, as well as reduced maternity leave and pay.

Don’t know about you but I’d say these are all things to be incredibly worried about. And Elon is massively in favour of them based on his heavy endorsement of the party.

This combined with his very close relationships with sex traffickers and the most powerful rapist in the world, makes me think he couldn’t care less about those poor girls who were groomed and trafficked.

MidnightMusing5 · 06/01/2025 18:34

It’s a publicity stunt to make farage more appealing to those voters that normally wouldn’t vote reform.

think about it ..

Farage won’t have Tommy on board because those voters that normally wouldn't vote reform , then DEFINITELY won’t vote reform. That’s what farage meant by “Tommy is not what this party needs..” - he didn’t say anything negative about Tommy and his ideology - which is very telling.
but reform are appealing to the voter that can’t see anything beyond their nose- who can’t think outside the box.

reform is blurring lines by hiding how racist it really is to get the majority vote.

the true reform will show itself when in power

This is a great take.

I've only just caught up with the headlines. Absolutely nuts. Trumps team need to distance their potus now.

Elon got Donald elected.
Spent over $250Million on him and his campaign.
Elon’s attached to Donald like a growth on his nose. Or arse.
Donald is never ever gonna distance Elon.
Elon calls the shots now.

Verbena17 · 06/01/2025 20:30

The British people are taking way too long to wake up, so Elon is helping.

What is extremely sad is, the majority of British people are more concerned that Elon is making public comments than they are about the trafficking, torture and rape of children in the UK. That is still going on! Not only in Telford and Rotherham and Oldham but in almost ALL English cities.

Read the court papers Elon posted - you’ll want to vomit.

If you think what he’s been saying is bad, there’s much worse.
People in the Uk are fast asleep - when they learn what’s been happening for a very, very long time, I’d imagine many of them will need therapy!

All Elon is doing is showing people what’s been horrifically covered up by the British government and British police forces.

He thinks that Stephen Yaxley Lennon is a political prisoner and seems to have overlooked the following:

No. We do not

I'm confused - is this sarcasm? Footage clearly shows people storming the building, breaking things and being violent. I'm not sure how you would frame this as acceptable behaviour. If someone did this to your place of work or your children's school, would you think that was "like a guided tour" too? Very odd.

Oh we've had an ingress that the mods are trying to keep on top of. There's a lot of deletions today

Yeah so nuts that he is part of the most powerful government in the world.

It almost comical watching randoms on the internet passing judgement on mega powerful people who literally run their lives and influence virtually every aspect of the world they live in. And then feeling all superior and smug as though they are smarter than the mega powerful.

Must be denial or something.

Is this a joke?

We should absolutely question those in power and fortunately in Britain we are still allowed to do that, without facing imprisonment or worse. That's why people like Musk and Trump are so fucking dangerous - because they'd happily abuse their power to overthrow democracy, just as Trump tried to do previously. Even worse when Musk is trying to overthrow the British democratic system and use the Tories (who did absolutely nothing to act on the report's findings) as shrills to help him rock the boat.

Lonelycrab · 06/01/2025 20:52

Another thing that’s for sure

Is that everyone talking about him is the most important thing in the world to him

And here we all are, talking about him

Dont feed the troll

MellersSmellers · 06/01/2025 20:53

@User135644 Soooo naive!!
He's not been heroic, he's just shit stirring to undermine the UK Govt because he knows the Online Safty Act is under implementation and there are huge potential/likely fines for X/Twitter!
If he really cared about child sexual exploitation he would support the immediate implementation of the enquiry report recommendations to try and stop it ever happening again.

Livelovebehappy · 06/01/2025 20:53

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/01/2025 20:43

He is really not.

It really hasn't.

Your lack of awareness is exactly why people like Musk are so dangerous.

The way the grooming issue has been dealt with by the government is shameful. And the government need to be called out on it.

Verbena17 · 06/01/2025 20:53

WestwardHo1 · 06/01/2025 20:48

If by that you mean "Do you think that children should reach the age of 18 before they consent to common and trusted vaccines against illnesses which have caused enormous child mortality throughout human history?"....yeah, in this instance I'll decide on behalf of my children and get it done while they're little.

But if you want to carry on warping what I'm saying by seizing the small example I gave, crack on.

(I expect you'll think because of this post I was all for enforced Covid vaccination now, right? Nuance is a wonderful thing.)

No not at all. However, in the same way you chose to vaccinate your children (as is your right), many people chose not to vaccinate their’s.

Ladywinesalot · 06/01/2025 20:55

Think the cover up of the gang rapes is worse then Musks posts….

where’s the outcry?

Oops I forgot to say, it was President Trump who said it, when he described it today as ‘basically a guided tour’, whilst posting a very sedate video of said tour recorded on cameras that MSM didn’t show you 😉

beAsensible1 · 06/01/2025 20:55

my friend has a theory that its all to drum up twitter/x publicity and drive people to the platform and keep eyes on it.

he's got governments bringing him up constantly and politicians who've previously left jumping on the post statement and broadcast on spaces.

As he gets trump into gov't twitter will become a keys comms arm of the US state

That's not true. The TORY government were in power for 14 years and did NOTHING. That's where the problem lies.

Which government?

The one who was in for many years with all the many reviews laid infront of them, to act or not act on?

The Tories did that.

Which government? Because the Tory one refused to enact the IICSA recommendations, but Labour are doing it (and star5ed before Musk knew it was a thing).
What exactly is it you think is shameful? Be specific, so we can tell if we agree.
