Elon Musk and Racism

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 03/01/2025 20:36

Inspired by the other long running thread. I keep reading that he tweets and retweets racist comments. Can anyone link any or all of them please? I see tweets over illegal immigration, as opposed to immigration, but not racist?

So instead of opinions please can people post the actual words used or retweeted? Or anything he said in interviews, word for word?

Thanks!

No. You said “these groups of men”. Which comes across very differently in the context of the previous posts and general tone of the thread.

Edited

The 'ring of protection' that seems to be drawn around these groups of men time and again needs to be proofed against.

You are reading into my words what you are thinking not what I am thinking. Time and again might suggest to you the systemic protection these men have been provided. Not 'this one instance'. I am not singling any group out, it is everywhere.

There are many groups of men. If YOU go straight to muslim grooming gangs that is on you. I actually have 'men who say they are women' at the forefront of my mind, so maybe you need to reflect on your assumptions.

Any full investigation should be pinpointing what the groups of men have in common. And we should be able to risk assess accordingly.

In terms of muslim men, are any Imams coming out to condemn any of the men in their communities and ostractising them? See also, the cover ups in the church, the Labour party and their relationship with PIE and the SNP and the seedy shadows of the man who was involved in starting PIE. It is all related and we really need to get to the bottom of these networks. These people are mainly still there in the background.

I want to know exactly why the police were so invested in protecting so many groups of men. I want to know why the care homes were so invested in letting men take the girls. And boys to be fair. And how this protection has been brought forward into protecting another high profile group of men, currently the ones who say they are women.

There are so many ways that children are being endangered, doing town by town inquiries would take forever. It is all an institutional problem that will never be sorted until it is weeded out of the whole system, if ever.

I want to know why the care homes were so invested in letting men take the girls

And I want to know why so many people seem invested in stopping the current legislation going through parliament (that Kemi Badenoch tried to delay by adding amendments to) that would ALLOW care homes to stop men taking girls (and boys). I also want to know why some people seem heavily invested in not following the recommendations of the Jay report that people be made criminally responsible for not safeguarding children/not reporting abuse. All issues you correctly identify as having cropped up repeatedly. So after we have another inquiry, we will need a third inquiry into all the people who tried to buy time on making changes by calling for the second inquiry... Why are they so keen to delay safeguarding changes.

I don"t think he should be involved with our politics. Not democratic.

The interesting thing is that Musk only took an interest when the online safety bill was proposed by Labour. He is supposedly a free speech absolutist and a bill to protect women and girls from harm is against his agenda but random racism is.

This was all kicked off when Labour started intimating that he would be arrested if he came to the UK for letting people on X spread Hate Speech. It is a reaction to their threats.

Serpentstooth · 11/01/2025 22:35

Frankly, it's time Musk reviewed his approval of the use of ketamine to treat his depression. It doesn't seem to be doing his mental health any favours.

No, it's been brewing since Labour didn't invite him over for some business thing and his feelings got hurt.

I don’t think the world’s top entrepreneur and innovator with potential for massive investment to the UK gave a fuck about not being invited to “some business thing” (investment summit) arranged by Labour.

None of them have a fucking clue how to run a business or drive innovation and investment. Or run a country as has sharply become apparent.

So no, hurty feelings on Musk’s side is unlikely. They don’t like being called out on the global stage for all to see especially as they can’t control the narrative like mainstream media.

Well exactly this. This government have already proved they don’t value entrepreneurship, she the limitation of business property relief, we’re going to see so many people over the next few years seriously reconsidering the idea of building up their business for the next generation, How are the kids going to afford a massive tax charge on an asset - oh yes, liquidate the company, make lots redundant. Yet again an economically incompetent government. Musk must be laughing at their stupidity

It’s interesting isn’t it, someone on another thread indicated that reading 1984 made you far right. A whole picture is being built up isn’t it? I’ve heard they are renaming the Tower of London “The Ministry of Love”.

If you sit back and actually think, really think not copy a narrative - are you actually comfortable with this???

justteanbiscuits · 12/01/2025 11:44

He has a history of public tantrums when he doesn't get his own way. So yes, I do believe he has hurty feelings and is attacking because his drug addled ego has been dented.

Explain why he would accuse someone of being a paedophile just because they didn't drop everything and follow his (incorrect) plan?

justteanbiscuits · 12/01/2025 11:45

Omg. I didn't realise this government bought in inheritance tax. I am so sorry, I take it all back.

People don’t want to stop the current proposed legislation- they don’t think it goes far enough. The real question is, why do people want to limit the scope of the legislation leaving vulnerable girls still exposed.

it’s not just girls in traditionally vulnerable positions either. In one of our local cities certain men are hanging around nightclubs, sometimes masquerading as people in trusted positions knowing girls are vulnerable after a few drinks.

We need to be addressing how young (often white) girls who don’t sit meekly at home are viewed.

So when you say “not getting his own way” are you saying he wanted to be invited to the “business thing” by Labour? That’s absolutely hilarious if so. I don’t think he’s lost any sleep over it, everyone knows the UK is going down the toilet on the world stage with Labour quickening it along.

The government (our government, not yours Keir) showed themselves up as incompetent, self-serving, petty and childish and the business and investment community were the ones commenting on it, not Musk.

Let’s take it back to what you said rather than the straw man.

Interesting that you seem to think you’re in a position to comment on someone’s mental health and their treatment plan presumably devised by a doctor using a product licensed for the treatment of a condition in their country.

Why do you think it’s relevant or appropriate to raise someone’s mental health and their legitimate treatment here?

justteanbiscuits · 12/01/2025 11:45

Omg. I didn't realise this government bought in inheritance tax. I am so sorry, I take it all back.

I assume that’s aimed at me??? What this government have done is severely limited business property relief, this used to ensure that businesses could be passed on without the person inheriting did not pay IHT ensuring continuity of the very businesses who prop up the UK economy. Now this is limited to £1m. Most family companies are worth more. Yet this value is usually tied up in the company, eg business premises, goodwill etc. This leads the family with a choice. A big tax charge with no way to raise money - the most tax efficient way to get the money out would be liquidate the business and wind up.

This government is utterly ridiculous it hasn’t got a clue. I just hope we get to the next government in a state we can actually recover from

Well. They're trying, desperately, to recover from the last government, but with different priorities. Most of us don't see people who are well off as a priority. We see state education, the NHS, social care etc as a priority. People have differing priorities.

Yes, he was quite keen on Democrats while the Obama administration's $600 million loan was saving his company from going under. He started to turn when the Biden administration attempted to impose some regulatory authority over his business practices, and the straw that broke the camel's back (or his brain) seems to have been not having been invited to a White House summit on the future of EVs.

His entire MO is to be allowed to make as much money as possible with as little regulatory oversight as possible. That's it. And he doesn't care what he breaks to get there.

It's bad enough America has handed power to this overgrown ketamine-addled narcissist, it seems beyond ridiculous that the UK would follow suit.

How Joe Biden drove Elon Musk into the arms of Donald Trump

Musk's endorsement of Trump has fueled speculation that it may be influenced by regulatory pressures from the Biden administration.

And where do you think that money is coming from? Taxing the people who drive this country’s wealth is a balance. Those people are not going to put up with being bled dry.

The nhs is a money pit. Its failures derive from the amount of users, the aging population and the sheer number of treatments available. Taxation will never be able to sort these issues out. The system is not fit for purpose in a world very different from when it was established,

What would work better is to offer tax incentives to those who get private health coverage. I pay taxes that go into the nhs, I also get taxed on my private health coverage I use to alleviate pressure on the nhs. We also need some private A&Es and to increase the movement away from the nhs gate way to private healthcare.

Farage is in the safest position of any leader of any political party I can think of. Reform is a company, and Farage owns it, so he can't be voted out.

I wouldn’t think this would have fed into the odds tbh. I’d put a tenner on Starmer being gone at the end of the year but I’m not sure I could be bothered going to the bookies if get such a small return
