Elon Musk and Racism

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 03/01/2025 20:36

Inspired by the other long running thread. I keep reading that he tweets and retweets racist comments. Can anyone link any or all of them please? I see tweets over illegal immigration, as opposed to immigration, but not racist?

So instead of opinions please can people post the actual words used or retweeted? Or anything he said in interviews, word for word?

Thanks!

Last May, someone wrote on Twitter: 'Ireland got big mad with the English for coming in some decades ago but now their government invites Africans by the tens of thousands to fill up all the small towns and replace the locals. How does that make sense?' And Musk replied 'Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The Irish Republic Army was so hardcore, but now they’re as scary as a plush toy'. That to me sounds kind of racist? Like he would want African immigrants driven out by force?

Because it’s hypercritical and racism is very much a motivation. He’s the richest man in the world, has he done anything to stop the biggest threat to children across the world, has he even mentioned the horrific impacts and crimes the big tech companies are causing let shone a light on it?

No

Funny that considering his supposed interest in crimes against children 🤔

And once again you’re just stating what you think his motivations are! Why does it matter?

Show me all his work and highlighting of gangs raping and abusing children online via big tech companies in his own country let alone a tiny country across the Atlantic.

Oh you can’t? I don’t need to state anything, it’s obvious.

If his motivation is to promote fascism in the world, then it does matter. However terrible the crimes that someone was attacking, would it have been OK for them to use it to get/ keep Hitler and Mussolini in power in the 30s?

Reetpetitenot · 10/01/2025 21:04

Several posters have explained many times why it matters. If you don't agree, that's fine, but recognise others think he's dangerous and not involved for altruistic reasons.

Why does it matter what his motivations are? You’re still not answering the question. Is that because they don’t matter and it’s more important to you to criticise musk (rather irrelevantly) than to keep the focus firmly on the rape gangs?

Can you not see the two different points

  1. what are musks perceived motives in highlighting the child rape gangs and the UK response and
  2. why does it matter what his motivations are if he is drawing international attention to the situation which will hopefully inform more wide ranging investigations where people aren’t too afraid to speak.
you keep answering point 1 never point 2

It matters hugely when it whips up racism
and a Muslim witch hunt. We don’t need international attention, we need the recommendations of the inquiry fulfilled. That’s happening.

Is his intention to promote racism though? Maybe we need to make sure we’re not in a position where such ideologies appear attractive. Maybe his views are useful in highlighting how disenfranchised some people are

HRTQueen · 10/01/2025 21:15

EM meddling in German politics too and supporting the AfD party

a party to the right of Reform

how much evidence do people need for them to understand that he is racist and all he is interested in is supporting racists

It’s there right in front in front of all our eyes

who really chooses to ignore this

is it a Muslim “witch hunt” now there’s a phrase we could discuss given Muslim countries practice of beheading people practicing witch craft. Or is it stating something that it is documented many people were too frightened to say on the inquiry and therefore compromising the safety of children

I'm starting 😁 to think you're not genuinely interested in why many think Musk's actions aren't genuinely because he cares about violence against women and girls. You can read back through many previous posts with the whys and wherefores. Plenty of posters have given details. Repeating yourself ad nauseam adds nowt to the debate. If you don't have the imagination to think further into what Musk's motives may be, can't help you, soz.

So you can’t actually link me to anywhere where people are saying why it matters. Instead you turn to the age old gas lighting

I was commenting on the use of the term Muslim witch hunt. It’s scary to think if, as some Muslims advocate, sharia law was introduced in the UK I could be beheaded on account of my practices and book collection, so could many of my friends.

Reetpetitenot · 10/01/2025 21:31

Just read back through the many posts explaining. Including my own posts.
His motivation is destabilisation, supporting Reform and getting them into government, and his weird vendetta against Keir Starmer. Not hard. You're obviously not genuinely interested but hey ho.

Oh I am interested -that is why I keep asking the question - even in the quoted post you’re still saying what you think his motivations are not-why do they matter

🤔But sharia law isn’t going to be introduced to the uk, nice bit of scare mongering there.

chicken2015 · 10/01/2025 22:00

If musks motives was to promote fascism to the UK and help support a fascist party into uk goverment, by influencing people to mistrust the current goverment and fund a fascist party, and he succeeded, would that be an acceptable reason why his interfering matter?

Reetpetitenot · 10/01/2025 22:01

Why does it matter if someone is aiming to destabilise the elected government of the UK? Seriously? Hahahahahahahahahahah. I know you'd like people to stop engaging with your repetitive posts, even though you've been answered many times, so you can just keep repeating, and say, see, no-one can answer my questions, but that's not going to happen. But nice try.

ETA but at least we've moved on from what his motivation is to why it's important. Which I've responded to.

Who is “she” - you’ll forgive me if I have an interest in not introducing laws into the country I live in that would see me beheaded.

Or are you in favour of people with alternative belief systems being beheaded? There’s a running thread on here for witches, maybe ask them whether they want sharia law. Maybe we’ll get away with 1000 lashes. But these comments are in response to the irony of someone claiming an anti Muslim witch hunt.

my motives in relation to the gangs raping and torturing young girls for them to stop! To do that we need to understand exactly why they are happening!
