Elon Musk and Racism

1000 replies

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 03/01/2025 20:36

Inspired by the other long running thread. I keep reading that he tweets and retweets racist comments. Can anyone link any or all of them please? I see tweets over illegal immigration, as opposed to immigration, but not racist?

So instead of opinions please can people post the actual words used or retweeted? Or anything he said in interviews, word for word?

Thanks!

The post was about repeating the enquiry, not Musk.

Apologies.

But what evidence do you have that people don’t want another enquiry?

PeppyGreenFinch · 10/01/2025 14:57

Did you expect charities to do an enquiry into the CoE abuse?

If not why are you expecting MCB to do one here?

I’m referring to the MCB statement that ends up making them seem like the victims and offering only “qualified support” to an enquiry. I’m comparing this to the Church of Englands response to an enquiry and suggesting that the Muslim Council of Britain would be better placed if they followed the lead of the Church of England.

But, if a light is shone on the organised large scale rape of young girls does it matter, if it causes a better investigation that actually addresses underlying issues why is who says it a problem? The answer is it’s not.

Light on the issue is a good thing. Light shone for nefarious reasons isn't. Musk is using this issue to sow dissent. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the safety of women and girls and everything to do with troublemaking and incitement.

Jess Phillips' entire career has been devoted to supporting women and girls and campaigning against violence. By his actions, Musk has ensured that she has been subject to a barrage of abuse and threats from people, who, prior to his intervention couldn't give a toss about the subject.

Labour were implementing the Jay recommendations. Where was Musk 7 months ago when the Tories weren't. Why has Musk chosen the UK particularly for his invective?

Anyone who seriously thinks Musk is acting with good intentions on this issue seriously needs their bumps read.

But the abuse happened under the eye of CoE.

The MCB are a charity, they are not a clergy.

You are comparing apples with oranges.

The people who did the enquiry (i.e. Alexis Jay) and the Home Office have said it’s better to crack on with actions from the original enquiry.

Edited

Exactly. What’s the point of having repeated enquiries. Action is better than wasting money repeating something

Yes I wonder why musk hasn't gone after the epstein Perpetrators, if he's all about sexual assault victims! I mean his buddy with one of them! It makes u wonder why he picks and chooses who he's going to 'expose' 🙄

Because Trump is giving him the platform his narcissism desires, where as Starmer didn't invite him to something earlier this year so he has is going for Starmer at the moment. And certain sections of the country are lapping it up.

Because the councillors in Oldham feel that the existing enquiry has not got to the root of the problem, further they consider that a national inquiry is the best way to get an independent inquiry.

I can see their point as the existing recommendations don’t address the role ethnicity, culture and/or religion has or hasn’t played/is/isnt playing in these child abuse gangs who carry out rape and torture on children (mainly young white girls) it does not address how people are to be protected when many have cited that their reaction was limited because they were worried about being called racist/islamaphobic.

Or certain sections of the country are glad more pressure is being put on the UK government from the international stage to address the continuing torture and rape of children by organised gangs. Maybe those sections of society are frustrated that some sections of society seem to unfathomably be trying to dim the light shone on those atrocities based on political bias (hopefully that’s where their motives end)

I think you will find that the majority of people want to see the recommendations from the 2022 inquiry implemented rather than delay any action for another few years.

Maybe though, those calling for a new inquiry have a reason to want implementation of previous recommendations delayed and ignored.

Absolutely not. There is no reason why the current recommendations cannot be implemented alongside a wider inquiry. The current recommendations focus almost exclusively on social services and I don’t think anyone is saying these recommendations aren’t good. It’s just they are too limited

Why is another inquiry needed until the recommendations are bought in? Is there a reason to delay making the non-reporting of child abuse illegal? Hmmm???

Reetpetitenot · 10/01/2025 17:27

Maybe Musk wants another enquiry as the Jay enquiry called for several restrictions on social media platforms - he probably isn't happy about that. Musk could do with getting his own house in order tbh, perhaps looking at the twitter cesspit. I still find it strange that he's intent on interfering in UK politics when there's plenty to be angry about in his own back yard, like calling for more investigations into Epstein and the rich white men involved in his abuse of women and girls. Oh, wait......

This post seems quite ironic as
"Maybe those sections of society are
frustrated that some sections of society
seem to unfathomably be trying to dim
the light shone on those atrocities based
on political bias"
It seems musk only shines light on sexual abuse that benefits him and not where its so close to home! Which is clear political bias!

MissHollyGolightly · 10/01/2025 17:35

Can any of the Musk lovers explain why he won’t protect children on his own platform? Every time I report OF ladies messaging my minor child with x rated photos I’ve received a reply saying no breach of its rules. He should look closer to home for the grooming going on over X.

I don’t think many people are “Musk lovers” what people are happy about is that an international light has been shone very brightly on the UK establishment’s reaction to the systematic abuse rape and torture of young girls by organised gangs. They are hoping that this light will help illuminate why this is still going on and help us see exactly why it happened in the first place.

Most people are grateful of anything that will protect young girls from abuse, rape and torture.

Its not relevant who is holding the torch.

Can any of the musk haters explain why they are willing to extinguish this torch, one that will help protect young girls because they don’t like the person holding the torch or the direction it’s pointing?

Elon Musk appears to be posting a host of untrue tweets. He is dangerous.

So are you saying that there wasn’t Gangs raping and torturing young white girls in the UK?

I'm sorry, what has that to do with the video posted - you seem to be trying to suggest I'm saying something which I haven't. Have you watched the video. It isn't saying that. Are you defending Musk tweeting incorrect and untrue information?

There is no torch to extinguish except that of hate.

Jess Phillips will continue to do the work she was already doing.

Musk has been of zero help except to keep the fire of hate alive for the far right and their supporters.

If I thought Musk gave a tuppenny damn about violence against women and girls in the UK or elsewhere for that matter, you may have a point. But he doesn't. He's out to stir up trouble and seems to have some weird personal vendetta against Keir Starmer. He never raised the issue at all until Labour were in power, despite the Tories doing nothing for years.
