Elon Musk and Racism

1000 replies

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 03/01/2025 20:36

Inspired by the other long running thread. I keep reading that he tweets and retweets racist comments. Can anyone link any or all of them please? I see tweets over illegal immigration, as opposed to immigration, but not racist?

So instead of opinions please can people post the actual words used or retweeted? Or anything he said in interviews, word for word?

Thanks!

Yes I wonder why musk hasn't gone after the epstein Perpetrators, if he's all about sexual assault victims! I mean his buddy with one of them! It makes u wonder why he picks and chooses who he's going to 'expose' 🙄

All of those questions are now irrelevant- the past cannot be changed the only relevant question is what are Labour doing now.

They're not irrelevant at all to Musk's involvement. If he feels so strongly, why now? Why not this time last year? He's not interested in violence against women and girls. He's after making mischief. He has a personal vendetta against Starmer.

Labour have already said they are implementing Alexis Jay's recommendations, including making it a criminal offence to fail to report abuse, which the Tories wimped out on.

Again, why are people pillorying Labour after 6 months in government after Tory YEARS of failures?

Edit - spelling.

There are plenty of genuinely right-wing posters on MN. I have no problem with that and happy to debate with them

The right wing bots/trolls are another matter. They are often easy to spot for a number of reasons and I wish MNHQ would do something about them. I reckon some are organised, others are just nasty inadequate men, typing from mummy's (or mommy's) basement.

As with any site there will be bots/trolls of all political persuasions and none

True. But the left-wing ones do seem to be far, far less prolific.

I'm curious do u know who cambridge analytica are? And the scandal? Did u know right wing farage specificly targeted people and spread false information to influence voter leave? Trolls and bots are different, bots are literally computer generated bots who will say what ever they are programmed to say. I find it strange how it seems to be only right wing that feel the need to use this.

Maybe because the Church of England did accept it the gravity of the issue and Justin Welby resigned

But what about a robust enquiry to make sure it wasn't more widespread, lessons to be learned, etc?

You mean like this one https://www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding/independent-inquiry-child-sexual-abuse. No half hearted “ we are the victimes” or “qualified support” comments though. Maybe an example for the Muslim council of Britain

Haha omg really. So Russia never get involved? China? lol!!! Thanks for cheering me up though! If you think every left winger on the internet is a genuine person you really need to hone your observation skills

Oh I think there’s loads of them plus Russia and China. You probably don’t notice the left wing ones because they align more with your own positions naturally less suspicious/questioning

Sometimes things might only cross a persons path if related to other interests. What matters is the present. He is shining a light on horrific abuse of children that is still continuing - trying to divert the conversation away from the abuse is not helpful

Did you expect charities to do an enquiry into the CoE abuse?

If not why are you expecting MCB to do one here?

But hasn’t there also been reports on the different grooming scandals? One on Rochdale. I’m just looking at the Rochdale one.

so if there has been one into the Church of England and another isn’t needed why is another one needed for these?

either we believe what’s been done in all areas or we don’t. Repeat one, repeat them all. Maybe we should have another Sue Grey enquiry as well?

Because a lot of people here don’t actually want action to be taken to stop the abuse. They just want to perpetuate the status quo so they can keep banging the anti-Muslim war drums.

I don't suspect people of being bots just because they have different views to me. But there is a certain pattern and way of posting that is noticeable. Also, sometimes the phrasing is odd etc.

I have been accused of being a bot in the past. So not all one sided!

Nice try, but I think that’s against the rules. There may or may not be any. If I feel like it I have that discussion direst with MN as per the rules.

So why wasn't Musk banging his drum when the scandal first came to light, or when the Tories failed to implement recommendations? He is stirring up trouble now because of his vendetta against Starmer and his racist views, not because he actually cares about violence against and the sexual abuse of women and girls.

This is a guy who on more than one occasion randomly offered to donate his sperm to women on very little acquaintance.

Well exactly. It’s often easy to spot. I have been accused multiple times of being a bot (I suspect to shut me up/discredit etc) and of being someone else in disguise. MN know I’m neither.

Maybe he only just became aware? It doesn’t really matter unless you’re more concerned with silencing musk than protecting vulnerable young girls.

Oh, it does matter. As I said, Musk has no interest in protecting women and girls. He could have had a look at his own country and perhaps had a bit of a tweet about Epstein's victims (he appears to be acquainted with Ghislaine Maxwell, having been photographed with her at a party) , or taken up the plight of women and girls in his native South Africa.

But noo, he chooses the UK where he's given vocal support to Farage.

South African women’s group trains police to respond to gender-based violence | UN Women – Headquarters

Through a partnership with UN Women Ilitha Labantu launched a programme in 2021 to work with the South African Police Service on a survivor-centred approach to instruct officers on working with survivors of gender-based violence.

But, if a light is shone on the organised large scale rape of young girls does it matter, if it causes a better investigation that actually addresses underlying issues why is who says it a problem? The answer is it’s not.
