Elon Musk and Racism

1000 replies

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 03/01/2025 20:36

Inspired by the other long running thread. I keep reading that he tweets and retweets racist comments. Can anyone link any or all of them please? I see tweets over illegal immigration, as opposed to immigration, but not racist?

So instead of opinions please can people post the actual words used or retweeted? Or anything he said in interviews, word for word?

Thanks!

Because I feel very much under the boot of some extremely hostile elites (Starmer is certainly one of them)

Why is everyone so anti Starmer - genuine question. I'm politically homeless so would not say I'm a Labour supporter though I did vote Labour at the last election as I was so fed up with the Tories.......Tory part had it's usual 20,000 majority here so I knew it would make no difference.

What has Starmer done/not done. Obviously the press hate him and the cynical part of me thinks the press barons want their Tory mates back so will just slag off Labour for the next 4 years. Which is as dangerous if not more so than Musk spouting off on Twitter.

I see talk about not having a grooming scandal enquiry - I'm not been funny but how many years since that came to light? And who was in charge then - the tories! Nobody was moaning about the lack of an enquiry then. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what the Starmer issue is. It's early days isn't it for Labour to be making much of a difference? Especially when the nhs, economy, etc was so fucked up when they came to power. Have we forgotten who caused that?

…… because the press and the right wing elite hate him and that’s enough. That is enough!

All I know is, there are some comments on here, and the likes of the propaganda tool aka 'x' which have become normalised under the guise of 'freedom of speech'.
Wrong and dangerous information which is in effect hate speech, and is used to influence others for the purpose of spreading hate and causing divide should never be made normal. It's such a slippery slope. The far right will cling on to any so called 'evidence', as long as it's in black and white eh? Don't let the actual facts get in the way.

To be fair, there were many anti racists who were raised under apartheid, that's not really an argument.

Good job I did not make that argument.

Eyesopenwideawake · 03/01/2025 22:06

Er, you do realise that being 'woke' means being aware that other people might not see things the way you do and that being aware of prejudice and inequality is a good thing, don't you?

Sure, it kinda fucks up most of Jim Davidson's comedy routine but there's always a price to pay...

Woke might used to have meant that but now its meaning has evolved into " If you don't agree with my liberal leftist beliefs, then you are racist and homophobic"

Personal power. I don't think he gives a flying fuck about abused girls.
I've seen a poster supporting him who thinks AfD is Germany's last hope. He's supported by racists as far as I'm concerned.

Musk has been tweeting for quite some time about how the AfD will save Germany. With their elections coming up that’s a real concern.

MKS12 · 06/01/2025 14:00

why post something you haven’t looked in to? He’s obviously not racist. Why would you even use that word? Sick of it’s over use when conversations need to be had about social issues. It’s ignorant, inflammatory and shuts down any intelligent debates that statistics show need to be had. And resolved.

THIS IS VERY BAD

X.AI LONDON LTD

He had one of his cronies Jared Birchall do this in December last year. Make no mistake, Elon is going to try his damndest to get his way in the UK.

If it is illegal for people to register companies in the UK, then report it.

He is a very dangerous man. The problem is he and his like will always have followers . People want to believe in fairytales but it’s a stretch to think Elon Musk gives a fuck about a lass in Oldham. He is fucking about with politics because he can and he hates those who he cannot control.

Of course it's not illegal but him DOING this is a problem.

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 06/01/2025 08:30

do you not think there are a lot of unelected persons having an incredible amount of power over world politics?

I expect so. Some more than others clearly.

justteanbiscuits · 06/01/2025 14:47

I've not seen him tweet actual racism, beyond claiming that Hamza Yousef "loathes white people". And he is a paid subscriber to a a pro-apartheid twitter account. He tweeted AI made images of Elizabeth Warren dressed in Native American headresses. And he has tweeted support of AfD in Germany, where a number of their leaders are Nazi sympathisers. He also tweeted in support of another tweet that suggested that black pilots have a lower IQ and will cause plane crashes.

I have also seen him call people paedophiles though with NO evidence, just because they upset his delicate ego. And he knows he has the platform that millions of people will agree with whatever he says.

Only in your head.

OP serious question.

What do you think of the Labour Party sending 100 'volunteers' out to the USA to assist in Kamala Harris' campaign. Do you know the economic status of all or any of them, bearing in mind Starmer stated that they were 'volunteering' which means surely must have been in an economic situation to be able to do that for free? What would the financial cut off be for helping the Democrats in the USA election?

Did you know the Tory party also send volunteers out to US elections? It's a "job experience" type thing. They don't get paid, and generally pay their own way. They go out to get the experience of helping with a US election. US political minions also come to the UK during elections, and at other times, to learn and get experience.

Literally the point is, if the UK meddle in USA politics, don't be so surprised if they meddle back.

It's not hard to understand.

Literally you’ve missed what the poster was
saying, that the exchange of political volunteers between UK and USA has happened for years.

What Musk is doing is way beyond that, he’s trying to effect a regime change.

IhateHPSDeaneCnt · 06/01/2025 15:02

Of course he's a racist tw£t - why he's so invested in Reform. He probably thinks he can start small i.e UK before turning into Bond villain - instead of cuddly, furry WHITE pussy he can staple his child with inexplicable name to his chest - 'bwa hah hah hah'

Sending volunteers to help on a campaign (it will literally be envelope stuffing, phoning people etc etc) is NOT meddling in US politics.

izimbra · 06/01/2025 15:16

Mind boggled at the support here for the far right oligarch who's been all over his bully platform for months defending people who've been convicted of inciting violence against asylum seekers.

If you purchased and then deliberately made changes to a social media platform that resulted in a huge increase in openly racist and anti-semitic content would you be at peace with that and frame it as a positive contribution to the world? Because that's what Musk has done.

"Literally the point is, if the UK meddle in USA politics, don't be so surprised if they meddle back.

It's hard to understand how you'd have the brass neck to misrepresent a few members of the Labour Party volunteering to stuff envelopes during the US election as being analogous to the richest man in the world with the biggest megaphone, using his power and influence to troll the UK PM and stir up hatred against a government minister by libelling them.

Yes, having the brass neck to state that the UK have been meddling in world politics in different ways since forever. That was just one very recent example.

Yes, the UK do it too, you have a point there.

But Musk is not a force for good and his meddling is bad for ordinary British folk.
