'Good on Musk [...] He has called on King Charles this morning to dissolve government.'

Has Musk recently bought the UK?

He ('free Tommy Robinson') and Trump ('get rid of windmills') are both sounding oddly proprietorial this week.

MonkeyToHeaven · 03/01/2025 12:47

But do you care why? Because it's obvious this is an attempt to stir up racists and undermine our democracy.

That is what the police said when girls reported their Muslim Asian rapists, and what politicians said when people pointed out these abusive gangs. So much easier to through around accusations of racism than address the harm to thousands of whitegirls.

Noerc · 03/01/2025 12:55

I am guessing there will be a reason why EM has picked up on this particular horror, out of the many horrors we face in the world.

Because no decent person can be anything but horrified.

Because it is indeed so horrifying that if you question his involvement at all, you get a deluge of people accusing you of virtue signalling or not caring (some of it couched in the prim chiding language that looks a lot like … virtue signalling).

Because many people will be so horrified that they will overlook or not dig into about what Musk is up to.

Because it so horrifying that many people do not look beyond Musk’s sound bites to check the facts.

Because of the racial angle. (And when you point this out, you’re met with the comment that it was race that allowed it in the first place - which does nothing at all to counter the original point about racists lapping this stuff up.)

Because those with an agenda can feign horror to whip up the emotions of the gullible.

Working well from what I can see.

well if the two of you read the tread and my posts, the answers would allready be listed their 😂

I do not pander to people who are to lazy to educate themselfs on a subject they are questioning. This is a forum, how about you educate yourselfs first before dipping your toes in.

Its a bit like going another country with strict laws, breaking them and claiming you did not now.

It's 'too' not "to" as in, too lazy.

It’s like Labour are trying to make it worse. Keir Starmer and Jess Philips should have been everywhere on the media yesterday showing they are taking this seriously and setting the record straight if Musk has been incorrect on anything. As it is, they were silent and invisible.

I haven’t tried to read any of the details but I accidentally saw two of the most depraved examples and I can’t get them out of my head. People are angry, these disgusting crimes were ignored and we’ve been misled for decades about the seriousness. That was a deliberate choice. Mainstream political parties need to read the room or we will end up with a powerful Reform block at the next election.

I think this is fair. They need to read the room, understand that there is genuine anger on this and the fact some neo-Nazi racists want to misuse that anger does not change the fact that anger exists and is valid.

So they need to discuss at length what has been done and what remains to be done and not rely on people reading for themselves. This is a situation that requires spoon feeding.

pointythings · 03/01/2025 12:52

I'm sure it is. As is sexual abuse of young girls by other groups, which is actually the majority of such crimes. Why is it that only the crimes committed by a certain ethnic group concern you so much?

I'm concerned with ALL VAWAG. And the problem is MEN. Not just one subset of men, but all predatory men.

Yes but this thread is specifically about Elon Musk holding the government to account regarding this paedophile, rape ring..
@of course ALL predatory men should be stopped & feel the full force of the law.

There. Has. Been. A. National. Inquiry.
FFS. The post you quote was asking for a summary of the report of that inquiry so you haven’t even was/understood what you are quoting.

Yet you haven’t been able to identify the relevant points in it, and it seems Labour don’t want to implement the recommendations now they are in power either.

Racists? You are calling people who are shocked by paedophile raping & drugging 11 & 12 year olds racists? Good Lord...

You do also realise that there are many white men both in prison and still in the community who have committed abhorrent acts on young girls and women? However, people are far more interested in these men as they are ethnic! Start shouting about these white men and why they are not being brought to justice!

Babybaby2025 · 03/01/2025 12:57

Elon musk - who fan boys over andrew tate? The man being charged for trafficking women and minors, abusing women and anally raping a 15 year old..that guy?

I think our democracy has long been undermined. We have long had Russian interference. I don’t really care about Musks motives. As long as it forces a further fuller investigation into the rape and abuse of children in our country

cardibach · 03/01/2025 12:57

Sunworshiper · 03/01/2025 12:42

Not if it was never acted upon and did not inclue all the areas also if the people responsible for avoiding tackling the issue in the first place were investigating themselfs.

It included all areas. There was a massive push for anyone who had been abused to report it, in a variety of non-confrontational ways. Or for people who were aware of abuse of others. It was independent of any of the organisations being investigated. The government (Tories) ignored it, but the light was shone.

MurderousFrieda · 03/01/2025 12:19

Elon Musk is giving the people of the UK a voice. The fact that he has to in this scenario is disgusting. The inquiry should have already taken place ffs.

Exactly. This will escalated further & further if they don't speak out . England is already humiliated enough on an international scale at the way this was handled. Hope Musk continues to pile on the pressure . Could King Charles dissolve government?

@cardibach what I know is the brave amazing woman who fought to bring all this to light said it's still going on.
Men are walking free intimidating their victims, new perps and victims, few if any deportation, abusers being awarded the children etc etc and on for ever more.

Yes. We live in a misogynistic society. VAWG is endemic. A further investigation won’t help.

thousandsofdreams · 03/01/2025 12:59

cardibach · 03/01/2025 12:49

You are indeed talking nonsense. Conspiracy nonsense, which is often anti semitic in nature.
Nobody is squashing investigations for one thing. There’s been a detailed inquiry and report.

How ridiculous, there was nothing antisemetic in my post, I have Jewish heritage myself, your accusation is utterly disgraceful. Nothing conspiracy either, wealth and power can pull strings and have done for decades, this is well known and accepted, not a contentious point, definitely not in the arena of conspiracy.

CuddlyDodoToy · 03/01/2025 12:59

Nameychangington · 03/01/2025 09:00

Don't call the industrial-scale rape and torture of children a dog whistle. Just fucking don't.

Completely agreed.

I don't know if Elon Musk gives a shit or not about the poor girls who have been abused by these vile men and neither do the posters who claim to know he doesn't.

I couldn't give a shit what his motivation is, if Elon Musk can shame the government and British authorities into doing something to protect innocent girls, I think that is a good thing.

It's shocking how many contributors to this post - presumably most of whom are mothers and many are mothers of daughters - are more concerned about someone they don't like gaining political capital than the safety and protection of girls and young women.

It's a terrible reflection on the mindset of people who think they are so virtuous because they are left-wing.

Ironic isn’t it. That this is one of the main reasons the police didn’t raise it / investigate it in the first place. Being called racist or fear of being called racist.

Couldn’t make it up. Or perhaps we could.

bombastix · 03/01/2025 12:59

As opposed to a Conservative Government who did not bother to implement the recommendations of the Inquiry. So Labour say will do so, good.

Elon musk - who fan boys over andrew tate? The man being charged for trafficking women and minors, abusing women and anally raping a 15 year old..that guy?

So do you want a better and fuller investigation into the systemic rape and abuse of young girls in our country or not? If so any pressure being brought to bear on this is good. If Labour want to limited Musks influence, surely they would do what any right thinking person would any throw as much as they can behind anything that will stop the rape and abuse of children.
