Yeah, this is it for me. He's not a government official last time I checked, just a rich bloke.

It just sounds like you'd rather our leaders weren't held to account over this.

nfkl · 03/01/2025 09:09

Someone with enough weight highlights this total dereliction of justice for women and girls, and many prefer to virtue signal and pinch their noses here rather than hoping victims will finally get justice?

It’s just so wrong and self-serving. Purity politics is an awful, selfish thing, really.

PandoraSox · 03/01/2025 09:09

Strange how he has only now taken an interest in these cases.

Anyone who believes Musk gives a shit about young working class women being groomed and raped is not thinking clearly.

ThePoshUns · 03/01/2025 09:09

Musk needs to keep his nose and his money out of British politics. I find it really concerning that the right wing press are championing him.

Upstartled · 03/01/2025 09:09

He's dangerous? I'd rather be stuck in a lift with him than any of the fuckers who swept this under the carpet.

thepariscrimefiles · 03/01/2025 09:09

Elon Musk doesn't give a fuck about violence against women and girls. If he did, he wouldn't have supported an adjudicated sex offender for President of the USA.

He also wouldn't give a fuck about these grooming gangs if the perpetrators were white. He is a racist and hates the fact that the UK has a Labour (even a very right wing Labour) government. He was stirring up trouble during the Southport riots and he supports Tommy Robinson.

GreenTeaLikesMe · 03/01/2025 09:09

OK, but what happens when Musk decides in six months' time to start pressuring the UK government about something that you don't happen to agree with? There is the risk of a precedent being set here.

The grooming gangs stuff is appalling and I'm furious about it and about Labour cancelling the inquiry. But we should be conducting an inquiry and punishing the people concerned off our own bat and because it's the right thing to do, not because an unelected millionnaire who has never been a British citizen is trying to force us to.

stitchy · 03/01/2025 09:10

Musk helped Trump, a friend of Jeffrey Epstein, get elected. This man is not a champion of women and girls. He's hardly about to campaign for improving the treatment of rape victims in the justice system and to increase the conviction figures too as that wouldn't benefit him.

He is simply using this horrifying crimes for his own self promotion and promotion of his political aims.

He called the poor bloke trying to rescue the trapped boys football team in the caves a paedo because he didn't get to play hero fgs

SugarPlumpFairyCakes · 03/01/2025 08:59

Like Elon Musk really gives a shit about those girls.

And if the perpetrators weren't brown, I wonder how many others would really give a shit either.

Those poor girls. Not only did they suffer awful abusive horrors, they are now political pawns too.

Um the reason this has been essentially ignored and not covered by the media for years is BECAUSE they are brown/muslim

Absolute scandal

GreenTeaLikesMe · 03/01/2025 09:10

Sorry, billionnaire, not millionnaire!

Balancedcitizen101 · 03/01/2025 09:10

Putting pressure on? As in trying to rig the next election and control here like he controls America? Yes YABU.

Chainzreaction · 03/01/2025 09:10

Bigredcombine · 03/01/2025 09:08

No, he can fuck right off. Who the hell does he think he is? He is a very dangerous man with far too much power.

Why? Do you not think it us fantastic that the world's spotlight is firmly on Britian with those grooming & rape gangs at the forefront. Our failure as a country to protect & provide justice for all the child victims ??

You take Tommy Robinson as a legitimate source of information? Seriously? Dearie me.

I'd trust him over any of our so called government.

If you ignore everything else he's ever done or said maybe...

This. He starts with an issue noone can disagree with, then he moves on to his real agenda, which is promoting white birth through the restriction of immigration and removal of women's rights.

Globusmedia · 03/01/2025 09:09

Look, I want to hear you out and know you mean well, but no. In the bigger picture we cannot allow eugenecists with power, media control and money to start sticking their noses into elected government no matter how noble you think their cause is.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, yours aren't superior.

Abbyk1980 · 03/01/2025 09:11

Do you know what I say to foreign political interference fuck right off you fucking knobhead there you go that’s my opinion and I’ll tell you why because he’s saying that Tommy Robinson should be from prison he’s lying about why he is in prison. He’s in prison because he went against the court and made up shit against a court case you cannot do that and actually ironically by Elon Musk keep sharing this shit he’s making it worse for Tommy Robinson he doesn’t understand our political system. Why is he interfering? Why is he back in the far right? He’s doing the same in Germany. He’s backing the far right so I want to ask myself and everybody should ask themselves. Why is he backing the far right? I think it’s because he spent his time growing up in a apartheid South Africa. I really think he’s a fucking racist and he’s a twat.
To your original question actually Jess Phillips has stated that it’s up to the council to look at it because it was under there problem and quite frankly asking for Jess Phillips to be put in jail. It’s absolutely stupid and I’m actually getting fed up of people thinking it’s a good thing to have foreign interference because I understand people like you and I’m telling you now if that on the opposition doing it, you wouldn’t be happy

DancingNotDrowning · 03/01/2025 09:12

And if the perpetrators weren't brown, I wonder how many others would really give a shit either.

@SugarPlumpFairyCakes you should be ashamed of yourself. A quarter of a million young girls raped and tortured and then systematically ignored and the offended against them covered up primarily because the perpetrators were brown.

Realowlette · 03/01/2025 09:12

ExtraOnions · 03/01/2025 08:59

Elon Musk… who helped a sex offender get in the White House, is not interested in violence against women and girls. He’s (another) right-winger, who would use anyone and anything to stir up hatred, with little recourse to facts.

If I thought he was actually interested in those girls, and doling up meaningful solutions fine .. but he isn’t, he isn’t addressing the issues of poverty and deprivation, that make girls more vulnerable, from his Billionaire property.

I'd trust him over any of our so called government.

This is why I wonder sometimes whether people should be allowed to vote

Well true, there are not many members of the Tory governments of the last 14 years that I'd want to be stuck in a lift with.

Moonwalkies · 03/01/2025 09:11

Fine. Clap your hands for the modern day Hitler. See if I care.

SugarPlumpFairyCakes · 03/01/2025 09:12

@Nameychangington you might not care what colour the perpetrators skis are but for many it is the reason they are outraged. Observe, read and listen to many of those most vocal and outraged on all the SM platforms. You will see a pattern in their protest.

People need to realise abuse is a problem regardless of who does it. It's very dangerous to regard it as an immigrant problem or a brown man problem. And many do. If we allow that to happen then many more girls will be in danger.

SpryCat · 03/01/2025 09:12

I don’t care who shines a light on this horrific rape of children and embarrass the government, I don’t care of his motives. I care that he is highlighting it

Chainzreaction · 03/01/2025 09:12

genesis92 · 03/01/2025 09:10

Well it's front & centre now globally thanks to Elon. It will no longer be swept under the carpet..
