I’m going to try and achieve some of these goals in 2025:-

Earn 100k pa at least
Move to Hampstead
Buy a Range Rover
Shop only at Boden
BAN the Daily Fail
Have 101 on Speed Dial
Get a ring doorbell

NEVER open front door except by prior appointment

Diet and then NEVER thereafter exceed a BMI of 20

Get tested for neurodiversity

Make a whole cooked chicken last a week
Massive salad

Go NC with my ENTIRE narcissistic family

Book a spa day

Get rid of my toilet brush

Chronicle daily how little I’m eating to keep my BMI permanently under 20

Encourage all woo threads as it fascinates me - generally - be more ‘woo’

Declare friendship groups as too much drama

SO C’MON!! There are worse goals for 2025 to have, surely?

Going into 2025 with my tried and tested theory of
"Let them "

That is all!

Some of your goals sound like torture.

I'm in Kilburn, that's practically Hampstead right? 😜

Oh 100% 👍

You also need to be in a state of constant performative bafflement at how anyone could ever have a human emotion or make a mistake.

U53rName · 31/12/2024 17:49

I plan on telling everyone how ridiculous they are whenever they tell us how much they spent on a house/car/bag/holiday/childminder/hobby. Any £ amount spent on anything, really. I’ll be sure to remind them that they have more money than sense, and tell them that they should have paid what the item cost in 1963.

I like the let them thing but Mel Robbins drives me round the bloody bend! Yes I know. Let her. 😂

Oh 100% 👍

Great, although I know I shouldn't even be on mumsnet at all as I don't have any kids. Maybe I'll do something about that in 2025, although it might be a big tricky as I'm 58 😆

Lazery · 31/12/2024 18:00

I'm going to find that elusive Chinese takeaway where 5 starters and 5 main meals cost £30.

And bear and bare. I shudder every time I read “Bare with me”. Not on your life, that’s for my husband and only him.

Ha ha, no thanks, I work with kids, it's handing them back at the end of the day that keeps me sane 😆

This is indeed a beautiful dream. I wish you so much luck in finding this wondrous prince😍🤴

He’s ripe for the picking because I split up with him this year! 😂

Perfect my scolding and scathing replies to perfectly reasonable light-hearted threads, and make sure I join the pile ons rather than actually post something nuanced and helpful.

Never darken A&E's door without first consulting mumsnet. Just to be sure you're not wasting anyone's time. Broken leg with bone protruding? Be told No, that's not an emergency, can't you wait until Monday to see your GP, or visit a pharmacist?

All children must have 12 extra curricular activities a week. Though wraparound care would knacker them!

You need 10-2 free every weekday to complete The Mental Load Tasks.

Refuse to accept you can't afford a million pound house on your 250k budget in the area you want to live in. Do not move 5 miles down the road to afford a better house than in current area.

Tell anyone struggling to afford a house to Move Up North. Houses Up North cost £2.50 don't you know?Despite OP having all their family/jobs/friends in current location.

Tell OP that they shouldn't expect any financial help ever from family. Then say, that you do get free holidays, childcare, house deposit, but it isn't EXPECTED.

Indulge in a thimble full of wine each Christmas and not a drop more or you have a drinking problem

SuffolkUnicorn · 31/12/2024 18:47

Always make sure someone’s not boiling your piss or making your teeth itch

Hiding a ‘cheeky’ (ick) McDonald’s from the kids can’t let them see that when they are having lentil pasta and boiled emotions for dinner

Are you Mel Robbins?

ConfessionsOfAChocoholic · 31/12/2024 19:04

Remember that your six figure salary will be through a work from home job which allows you the flexibility to work between 11.08am and 11.37am, the rest of the time you are doing life admin or running errands on your lunch hour. If anyone dares questions your work pattern you can proudly declare that your company does not pay you to work fixed hours but for your years of knowledge and for making those tough decisions. You also know that your boss attends yoga every 9th Wednesday so flexibility is promoted.

I think that one is included in the posting guidelines, it’s a winner.
