Conspiracy Theories part 2

A follow on thread as the first thread is full. This message is directed towards @Corinthiana

A few negative newspaper headlines made Diana unpopular? Nonsense. She remained a figure of profound importance internationally. She died over the summer - August. So she was on holiday. She was divorced and they shared arrangements with the boys. So she was on a yacht? Did you run her personal schedule to know that this was a sign of her prioritising her relationship over her sons as this is what you appear to be implying? Do you honestly think that the public reaction in the immediate aftermath of her death was due to her sudden post death elevation to sainthood as opposed to her enduring popularity during her life? What an illogical statement.

She was indeed a very complex woman but the fascination with her was boundless. You sound reductive and agenda driven. Greed? She was from a true blue blooded family - she famously said to Prince Philip 'my family is older than your's'.

I just find it difficult to believe , several staff saw her on the 3rd of may at the club, last sighting was between 5-6pm. The adults had dinner at 8,30?
that leaves a maximum of two hours for everything to happen , the alleged accident then hatch a plan then be at dinner by 8,30
probably they were very relaxed with their arrangement the last couple of nights , perhaps all they did was stand by the closed door and listen to any noise? That whole arrangement if I remember from the Netflix doc , no one from their group wanted to recreate that evening , that’s in itself is strange.

I'm not making an argument - I am saying that I, personally, think discussing certain conspiracy theories can be fun to discuss and others less so. Alex Jones was basically, to me, a figure of fun who was sometimes more dangerous, and then slipped into truly horrific and personally-targeted topics.

And there's a reason why Mumsnet are pruning various of the posts about the McCanns and not doing the same for more frivolous theories.

Mumsnet is a commercial social media platform. They are not the arbiter of truth or morality. They place a series of rules around what can and can't be posted to align with their commercial objectives and purported values.

It was pretty crazy wasnt it and all before the advent of social media. The british stiff upper lip was gone and all kinds were publicly weeping in the streets more than they would cry for even their own mother. That was most bizarre.

Yes and the fact the young princes ,were trying to comfort complete strangers so weird .

There are many many intriguing aspects to the case, not least of which is the Smith sighting.

On the night of the disappearance, Irish holidaymakers Mr and Mrs Smith passed a man carrying a girl across the beach. They said the girl looked young, fair-haired, very pale and completely comatose. She was wearing light coloured pyjamas. Mrs Smith believes it was Gerry she saw. Mr Smith, who said he was 60-80% sure it was Gerry, stated that the man had beige trousers that buttoned at the sides - a singular item of clothing later seen worn by Gerry.

This was awful. Those boys having to walk behind the coffin was truly unbearable. I will never be able to denigrate Harry for the trauma he suffered as a 12 year old boy. I hate the way he is treated by the media. He deserves peace and healing.

I don't blame them for leaving the Uk.

I thought the controversy over this arose from the fact that Buzz Aldrin made statements that the footage was animation, although this does appear to have been de-bunked now (see below). So some people believe that the footage was faked but not the actual landings?

https://www.reuters.com/article/fact-check/buzz-aldrin-interview-about-moon-landing-is-not-proof-that-it-was-faked-idUSL1N2US2G3/

It you knew anything about Buzz you'd know he hates fake moon landing theorists, he has a history of punching them in the face!

Putting this in my Threads I'm On ... while trying not to lose Christmas entirely by getting addicted to the batshittery 😂

Garlicwest · 24/12/2024 00:46

Phew, my Christmas is going to be saved by this thread being all about the McCanns & Obamas. OP, I'm afraid you're winning on the batshittery stakes atm: "No pictures of Michelle pregnant". Click on Images. There's even a sweet photo of her sporting post-partum puffy-face, holding baby Sasha.

Show me the actual picture. You really are the OTT and dramatic poster aren't you? The full litany of mumsnet insult with your 'battshittery'. Try some originality.

I do find the death of Joan Rivers quite suspicous/intriguing in terms of its timing. She died shortly after she had referred to Michelle Obama as trans - she had undergone quite a minor operation and died during this. She was captured on film making the statement about MO and she did not appear to be joking. It is very perplexing.

Edited

It’s not perplexing, she had a reaction to the anaesthetic, which is always a risk. What are you actually suggesting happened? What you’re saying is both ridiculous and massively offensive to Michelle Obama. Seriously.

I am not stating anything I am raising it as an ongoing conspiracy theory, as something that exists. She had many many many surgeries - this was an endoscopy. She did not die from the reaction to the anesthetic she died from brain damage due to lack of oxygen.

Oh come off it.

You raised Joan Rivers' death, calling it suspicious and linked it to her calling Michelle Obama trans. You also peddled the (false) claim that Barack once referred to Michelle as Michael, and you've asked for someone to show you a picture of Michelle, pregnant.

Don't do the "I'm just asking questions" or "some people are saying" schtick- if you're going to peddle this toxic crap, at least have the backbone to admit you're doing it.

Dustyblue · 24/12/2024 02:52

This thread is utterly bonkerdoodles (and I'm enjoying it very much).

Just on Joan Rivers- her whole shtick was saying rude & controversial stuff. She did it for decades. I thought she died during a cosmetic surgery procedure in her 80's? Any surgery at that age is risky.

As for Michelle Obama- in the Australian media at the time, so around 2008, she was referred to as "That bloke married to Obama". So nasty. I think she's just a strong & commanding looking woman.

Carry on....

There was probably a huge crowd fund to get rid of her.

I don't think she looks "strong and commanding" (in terms of physical appearance; she is certainly a strong and commanding speaker). She's just a normal looking woman, albeit taller than most.

It's just a racism thing.

What an unpleasant thread? You are easily upset aren't you? I posted about the McCanns, who were listed as suspects by the police in Portugal due to a significant amount of evidence. I suggest you do some research on this as you appear to be very ignorant. Michelle Obama - I am perplexed. Find me a picture of her pregnant I would be very happy to stand corrected. Start your own thread if you are so offended. You are very keen on hyperbole aren't you to call me a raging conspiracy theorist based on these? What a silly, reductive and simplistic response.

Like the same accusation levied towards Bridget Macron you mean? Is this also founded in racism? You say a lot but a lot of it has no substance whatsoever.
