My sil bought a "chinese" wedding dress off ebay. It was horrible, cheap falling apart fabric, she had to get it sewn back together/shaped.

Doesn't matter what anybody else thinks, if you love it then it is your dream dress, you don't need the approval of others.

This is a very famous and popular USA designer/couture gowns company who is pretty much top of the market for prom and formal dresses and makes gowns for A listers and the red carpet events.

Not sure how that compares to Chinese knockoffs.

Ignore the vile snobby cows I bet you’d look stunning in it OP. The bodice beading reminds me of some of the heavily beaded tutus I’ve seen which is not a snide comment I love the ballet. Also the shape of the back is very elegant and I like the way the sleeve comes off the shoulder.

You'll gain nothing from buying it and seeing it waiting in your wardrobe. Also tastes change - you might find Mr Right and realise you hate it after all.

Plus buying something you don't yet need, definitely jinxes things - that's sod's law. 😆

This. They made the most beautiful prom dress for me! This was the beautiful Sherri Hill i wore as year 11 prom queen :) worth all the shipping and taxes that totalled $900. Easily the happiest day of my childhood.

Also my Sherri Hill graduation dress was very pretty too, I love this American designer.

I love the dress. In the OP pic it does look a bit like 2 different dresses stuck together, but when you see it full length, it's gorgeous, especially the grey version.

If you buy it, wear it with pride, it's gorgeous...(and not a bit tacky)
