Love the bodice work.

FilthyforFirth · 18/12/2024 13:39

Tacky AF sadly! But by the time you need it I'm sure you will find a much nicer one!

Onlyvisiting · 18/12/2024 13:41

I don't like the white one, the skirt doesn't go. But I like the blue and the grey ones.

I like the ornate top. I wonder if you could pair it with less floofy skirt and wear it as a normal fancy dress?
Tbh I think all wedding dresses are tacky AF, if you would never wear it on any other day why is it no longer ridiculous because its a wedding? So I'd happily lean into it and embrace the bling. Especially as its a fairly normal price

bigkidatheart · 18/12/2024 13:42

Think it would look good on someone very petit

DancingHippos · 18/12/2024 13:43

I love it. I don't see the "two dresses stuck together" thing. I like the white skirted one too. I say buy and make you are putting yourself out there, meeting people.

Store it properly and don't let anyone know about it until you are engaged.

If you are slim and attractive you can carry it off. If you're on the heftier size of things and look like Les Dawson, it's best to avoid.

Definitely needs a slender, dancer's figure to carry it off well, someone light on their feet!

Is this wedding dress tacky?
SatansBobbleheadedDashboardOrnament · 18/12/2024 13:55

It's alright, if you're planning not to wear much jewellery or bling on your wedding day. Also prepare for the gems to be an absolute bastard and fall off as the day draws on.

Jubaju · 18/12/2024 13:55

Where are you getting married….1990?? 🫢

oakleaffy · 18/12/2024 13:59

I e picked the name for my dog….i just don’t have a dog!
we can all dream…just never give up dreaming!
I think that dress is gorgeous!

I really love it too...As a little child I LOVED ballet dresses {we lived near Royal Ballet school and a relative used to do work for Nureyev - I definitely like the theatrical, ballet look.

Re dogs names..if you ever get a dog, you may well end up calling him or her something completely different...

Someone called by dog ''Giblet''{they mis-heard her real name...and that made me laugh!}
However...I think my dog ''could'' carry off a dress like this!

Love it OP!
wedding planning is apparently really stressful so maybe get it all done now then just find an okay chap and you’re ready to go?

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 18/12/2024 14:22

It's lovely Princess Jasmine!

Petrasings · 18/12/2024 14:30

I love the dress too, buy it and throw a big party! I used to wear bridal dresses to goth style Halloween balls - no need to go to the trouble of actually finding a husband and the ball ache of that - you CAN have your moment op!! 💃🏼

no one would ever marry me unless they were a complete lunatic

I like the top part, the netting bit is a little white in comparison to the bodice for me. But no, not tacky.

80smonster · 18/12/2024 14:57

Perfect first date dress.

mitogoshigg · 18/12/2024 14:59

Absolutely fine, good luck on finding a groom!

saltandvinegarchipsticks · 18/12/2024 14:59

It looks scratchy.

Butchyrestingface · 18/12/2024 15:11

I quite like it, OP. 😀

I have so far not managed to entice any eligible victim bachelor into holy padlock either. If I buy an identical one, you can come round my house and we can dress up like Miss Havisham and read some Dickens together whilst we drink gin tea.

I am slim and attractive but neither of those things seem to be helping me find a victim husband

Get it in a different colour and wear that instead. Shopping, to a party, big bash, cinema all would be elevated by the wearing

Don't forget cooking and wafting around.

OffTheScales · 18/12/2024 15:52

It's gorgeous and if you like it and got the money then buy it!!

BuT under no circumstances let any potential victim partner see it before the big day!!

Have you somewhere to hide it Carrie??

💝🫶🏼🥂💓🤩

TopshopCropTop · 18/12/2024 16:34

Yes, frightfully tacky, sorry.

BigDeepBreaths · 18/12/2024 17:21
