It seems they've cruised along nicely. Thank you tax payer. 20 holidays in 1 year

I think maybe the poster made a slip as the Radfords have just been on holiday with the Inghams. The dad is Chris Ingham, frequently referred to as Creepy Chris.

Ah thank you, never heard of the Ingham family!

I think a lot of people who follow them now didn't watch 16 kids and counting. I remember that their house was a mess, the kids were feral, the older ones all said they hated it, they used to take the door handles off of a night so the kids couldn't leave their rooms. Noel liked look he did everything whilst Sue walked about laughing as the kids trashed the house! They must have been on benefits then as they were talking about the council having to knock two houses together to make a big enough house for them all. It's only since they started selling themselves on social media/tv that they have made enough money to support everyone.

ARichtGoodDram · 17/12/2024 18:58

They made an absolute fortune from tax credits (which they didn’t consider benefits) before their online content took off.

It was frankly insulting of them to pretend that the pie shop sustained them all at that point.

What?? They haven’t claimed any benefits other than child benefit have they? Seems like they make money from their bakery and social media/TV.

This is why I find it baffling that they’re so popular. The door handles thing was downright bloody dangerous if there was a fire!

I sense a lot of envy on this thread.
😉😁😁.

What, you think people wish they had 22 kids? Doubt it...

I think threads about the Radfords tend to get pulled, though.

namechangeGOT · 17/12/2024 19:01

What matters at the end of the day, is how her actual family feel about things. Some of them are adults now, and so do not have to expose their lives, if they do not wish too, I would have thought.

@LadyKenya And many of them are not adults. They are small children being rammed down the throats of silly people with a sad 'reality' tv fetish, having their lives and privacy sold to strangers FOREVER by their parents in return for holidays, flash cars and fame. They're grabbers. Nothing more.

Lifeomars · 17/12/2024 19:01

What on earth does 22 pregnacies and deliveries do to your vagina, pelvic floor and abdominal muscles? Makes me wince just thinking about it

nopenotplaying · 17/12/2024 19:02

They irritate me.

I expect they did claim child benefit when they could but don't anymore. They were entitled to it.

The focus now seems to be shopping and holidays. Extravagant birthdays, baby showers etc. I'm expect they earn far more money from their 'content' than they do the pie factory.

Their children are now supplying the babies.

TheFairyCaravan · 17/12/2024 18:24

People are so naive. The tax payer paid out a fortune for them before they got successful with their social media and tv career. He’s not Mr Kipling fgs. And giving birth 22 times, sending all those kids to school etc doesn’t come cheap.

That’s pretty unfair, they have earned (and paid tax on) a huge amount of money. I don’t think it would benefit society to call out who are net contributors vs net takers. I think the radcliffes are likely the former.

Jk987 · 17/12/2024 19:02

How many of us have got their own telly show and heaps of social media channels? Not to mention a pie business. We've no idea of their earnings but they love their kids. It's unusual to have that many but good luck to them.

wateringcanface · 17/12/2024 19:02

It doesn't sit right with me, 22 school places, 22nd nhs births and any other nhs and social services they take up.

I don't care for the 'mind your own business' type mindset when people voice negative opinions on them, they have made themselves famous purposefully for their breeding choices, they are opening themselves up to scrutiny. Dont want people to comment, don't use your kids to make money through a tv show.

I also can't imagine any of the children are particularly bonded with their parents, how can you spread your love and attention accross that many.

Here for the deletion message.

Startinganew32 · 17/12/2024 19:04

They are awful and the dad is creepy and gross for getting a 13 year old pregnant. They have neglected their children big time. They have absolutely relied on the state. Him owning a bakery in no way provides him with an income to support a family of 20. What utter bullshit. Their kids are hardly growing into budding teachers and doctors are they? Don’t think any of them went to uni and they are starting on the breeding route too. They are a drain on the state and awful parents. Why do people like them so much? Guessing because they are white.

suburburban · 17/12/2024 18:38

I used to like them but they now come across as shallow and wasteful.

Tbh I think their dc will follow suit with having dc.

They are not encouraged to have a career

All the older children have at least 3 children already.

LadyKenya · 17/12/2024 18:51

I may just take your advice, it is always the same though, people carping on about how much they cost the taxpayer, "creepy Chris", and his escapades with the underage Sue. Nobody seems to mention the fact that her parents did nada about that. If they were so bothered, then they should have filed a police complaint. They are married, they have been for years, and it is obvious that the number of children that they have produced is a product of trauma, that they have both suffered from. I am just taken aback by the amount of vitriol that they seem to elicit from people. What matters at the end of the day, is how her actual family feel about things. Some of them are adults now, and so do not have to expose their lives, if they do not wish too, I would have thought.

Very well said LadyKenya

Their relationship has endured a long time and is solid, they have a lovely family, seem very down to earth, and tbh their house looks tidier than mine!

They seem to function well. I disagree with any dc appearing on telly really but if that’s the way they have chosen to fund their family then that’s their choice and I am sure most of the money is being ploughed back in to the children anyway. There won’t be much left by the time they have raised 22 of them anyway!

I am also surprised by the level of vitriol aimed at them on here. I like the dynamic of a big family and it’s the opposite of avaricious!

They don’t. They love the money they bring. Anyone who loves their kids doesn’t push the girls into doing endless free childcare, let the boys beat each other senseless and cast aside each kid in favour of a new baby after a year or so.

Jk987 · 17/12/2024 19:05

@wateringcanface breeding choices? They're humans not dogs!

It's very rare to have that many kids. The school places they take are a tiny drop in the ocean! It's not like other families are rushing to follow suit!

MerryChristmasYaFilthyBrusselSprout · 17/12/2024 19:06

both the parents were brought up in care

Not true. They were both adopted as babies into loving homes.

All of the older children are in social housing and the daughters all knock out babies as soon as they are able. Such a bloody drain on society.

Jk987 · 17/12/2024 19:07

Dita73 · 17/12/2024 19:07

He may have a pie shop now but I bet he didn’t when he started breeding at 18. It’s very creepy and they’re unbelievably thick. Her parents must be morons too for not having him arrested years ago

If there were any serious concerns, then the SS would have been on top of them, like a shot. They are very much out there. School would be very familiar with the family etc. People may not agree with how they are living their lives, but it is not breaking any laws, exposing your family life on sm/ tv. They are just on a larger scale media wise, than most people.

Jk987 · 17/12/2024 19:07

@Startinganew32 you think they don't love their kids? 😂

I don’t think they are good parents, regardless of what affection they might feel towards their children. A good parent doesn’t have 20 children in a time when contraception is freely available because those children’s needs can’t be properly met in a family of that size which was very evident in their programme - the boys were beating the living daylights out of each other and the girls were looking after the babies.
