It seems they've cruised along nicely. Thank you tax payer. 20 holidays in 1 year

They are always somewhere, they never seem to be at home.

They are never home to decompress,do any homework, bake, play with toys etc. always carted off somewhere. The children look malnourished 😯

Anyone else think it’s not desirable to go on so many holidays? I like one or two a year but still find it a pain with packing beforehand and the laundry after etc.
i don’t envy them always being away!

MyStylish40s · 20/12/2024 07:49

And all the admin of the passports and bookings, etc.

I think they’re clearly only doing it for content at this stage. I can’t imagine they actually like or want to go away so much.

It wouldn’t be as exciting or gain as many views (income for them) if they were posting about a regular Saturday afternoon at home, cleaning the shower doors and pairing school socks.

It’s absolutely baffling that they have “fans” who can’t see through them.

I actually think the fly on the wall type programmes in the early days were interesting, but I guess they have a limited appeal once you've done a series or 2 showing "normal life"

But the few programmes I've seen in the last few years (I didn't watch the latest series) just look like made scenarios and scripted stuff, it's clearly not real life, but I can't see that going to Disney several times a year and the Maldives and going away most weekends seems very "real life" for most people either.

I'm often bemused by the "they work really hard" narrative, to explain all the holidays, rather than they are part of the tv show. Noel doesn't appear to work long hours, and Sue has never had a job in the conventional sense (to generate income) so its pretty ridiculous to suggest his "hard work" at the pie shop is funding holidays that 90% of working people (with 2 or 3 childen) couldn't afford.

ChristmasPudd1990 · 20/12/2024 08:27

Yes that gets me too. "They work hard, they deserve it blah blah". Many others work hard and can't afford a holiday. Noel is never at the pie shop. So many people aren't getting their orders either. Must be a kick in the teeth when you've paid for something and yet they're not answering emails and they've swanned off on YET another holiday 🙄

ChristmasPudd1990 · 20/12/2024 08:28

Sue does nothing either. Noel makes their packed lunches and comes home to take the kids to school before going back to work again!! All she seems to do is moan about the endless washing. Well you chose to have so many children 🤦‍♀️

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/12/2024 09:21

I'm amazed so many people gift them stuff

Holidays - meals - clothes etx

Just so their name gets a mention on their blog ?

They get paid for the you tube channel and TV as well.

Of course, I'm saying that the pie shop isn't their only , or even their main way of having (or funding ) that lifestyle. People are quick to point out they have their own business (the bakery) and "work hard" but even at the very beginning , before the YouTube channel, and before they had so many holidays, it was dubious that one wage from a small pie shop could finance a family of 17+ people

Whammyammy · 21/12/2024 18:46

I believe they don't claim benefits and support themselves. You sound very bitter and envious op.

They don't really support themselves as such, they have simply monetised their family.

They did get benefits in the early days, an awful lot of benefits, but they were simply portrayed as media darlings because of the magic pie shop, whilst other families in similar situations were demonised by the newspapers.

Grapewrath · 21/12/2024 19:02

They definitely didn’t have all the kids on a pie shop wage. I remember being on a parenting forum years and years ago and Sue was on there, and they got a hefty chunk in tax credits
The first documentary- the kids all looked scruffy and ate a really shit diet, not to mention they were all saying they didn’t want any more siblings. The oldest kids parented the younger ones.
They’ve cleaned up with all the TV work but that gravy train will soon be ending

Grapewrath · 21/12/2024 19:06

Also Noel was an 18 year old adult when Sue got pregnant at 13. It’s not ok.

steff13 · 21/12/2024 19:13

How is it even possible to take 20 holidays a year? That's almost two a month.

One time they did think USA. Then Disney on a boat on way home

Does it really matter about before? That was the past! This is now and they are earning whether you like it or not. Now I have mixed views about the way people use children for social media that's my only gripe but there seems to be a lot of jealousy over money and holidays, you only have one life and they are living it.

ShamblesRock · 22/12/2024 09:26

Why is "you're just jealous haterz" the response to any criticism of them? Seriously what is there to be jealous of? There is more drama in that family than the whole of Walford put together.

I suppose one could be jealous of their ability to not really have any concerns about anything other than which pram for the latest baby and the colour of the wallpaper.

IVFmumoftwo · 22/12/2024 09:35

Surely the amount of holidays means the novelty wears off?

Disney has def worn off

The kids look bored senseless

Prob would enjoy centre parks more with out the long flight

And as so many thru don't appreciate or enjoy them

We do once a year abroad. Dd loves the time we spend in the pool

You only have to see the kids’ miserable faces in the holiday snaps to see you are correct.

Not surprised. I have given up watching when it started getting more and more scripted.

suburburban · 22/12/2024 12:29

So do they get fined when the dc are not in school, this is never mentioned

They don't seem to value education
