It seems they've cruised along nicely. Thank you tax payer. 20 holidays in 1 year

It's interesting they seem to have such a lot of money, when their accounts at Companies House says otherwise.

Yuk. First baby born when he was 18 and she was 14.

That's a Paedophile in my book. She would have been 13 when he was having sex with her, quite inappropriate.

I am just stating what everyone else has said on here. Also the fact he was 18 when she was 13....

Another thing that winds me up is the way Noel defends what he did by saying “oh it was different back then”. No it wasn’t!! I’m older than his wife and if some 18 year old had got me pregnant 13 my parents would have made sure he was inside!

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 17/12/2024 19:21

I remember watching the old series and some of younger kids were saying they don’t get time with mum as she’s always with a new baby. I felt for those poor kids having to fight for attention 😔

Exactly.
How many mothers of daughters would want their 13 year old having sex with a 17/18 year old?

That's very creepy.

ARichtGoodDram · 17/12/2024 19:21

I thought they were quite interesting in the beginning, but the pretending that tax credits aren’t benefits ( they’ve just always said they don’t claim benefits and actively ignored any direct questions about TC’s) and therefore they didn’t get any tax payer funding said a lot to me. It was totally disingenuous.

itsjustbiology · 17/12/2024 19:21

Piss take or not I cannot abide the mum and dad. They are an embarrassment. Most of us know how much it takes to bring 1 or 2 children up properly, with their brood theres no way they can give each child the love and attention it needs to grow and flourish, they know this, don;t care and still kept on. Baby making factory ugh not for me. I feel for the kids totally being shoved in the spot light for their parents amusement. I don;t know anyone who admires them, most think mental illness is at play big time and its a freak show.

All children generally become taxpayers.... think of it as 2 people have created 22 future taxpayers who will work, pay tax so you can draw your pension.

Yes, I was going to say pretty much this. I have a lot of misgivings about the whole set-up of their family; but whatever they do end up doing, I think it's only fair to consider each child/person on their own merit.

Each person has their one birth (very likely on the NHS) and then one person's worth of education and other costs throughout their life, balanced against that same one person's tax and other contributions.

All else being equal, no different cost-wise from 22 only-children born to 22 families.

Why does that make you less accountable?

tinygingermum · 17/12/2024 19:22

I have an issue with the fact the media pay a family for articles and a reality show where the father was an adult and the mother a child when they had their first child, but not many people seem to have an issue with that it seems.

DarkDarkNight · 17/12/2024 19:22

I don’t like them and the idea they haven’t took the piss with 22 children is ridiculous. I don’t care if they have a business or only claimed Child Benefit, the costs for maternity care, schooling etc. is massive. children is completely ridiculous.

It will never not be creepy fuck that he got her pregnant when she was 13 and he was 17 no matter how they try to gloss over it.

More fool people if they want to watch this family be given free stuff and free holidays but they come across as grabby.

Exactly. I’m the same age as Noel. None of my 18yo male friends were having sex with 13yos. My dad would have gone ballistic if I’d have got pregnant, by anyone, let alone an 18yo at 13. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to have carried on seeing him, and there wouldn’t have been 21 further kids.

So you're excusing their behaviour ? Imagine if your 14 year old daughter has a baby with an 18 year old man...

Mother clearly is a ''baby addict''.

Always pregnant, or post partum, while the older kids get no attention.

A woman I knew who had 10 siblings hated it.

the older children were desperate for a bit of attention while the mother was perennially fussing over a new baby.

Yeah, this was the 90s. No, it was not normal for 17 year olds to have sex with 13 year olds. At all. Not for 14 year olds to give birth. And she was 14 years and 2 months when she gave birth so for the majority of the pregnancy she was thirteen years old. Absolutely shocking and disgusting.

The parents do not seem very smart or appealing. I'm not a fan and don't understand why they are famous. It's gross that the dad started having unprotected sex with the mum when she was 13, and I think the first kid was conceived when she was 14?

How could someone want to be pregnant for pretty much their entire life.
I think it would be appalling to have to be one of dozens of siblings, all a year apart.
You'd feel like you were living in a children's home.

Apparently the pies are shite. And if course a tiny regional pie firm couldn't sustain that size of a family. So I guess it's good they've got money from the telly and not the taxpayer.

They run a business. They can't be thick!

Also iirc they are both adoptees. So likely some attachment issues. That hints towards why the need for so many children and to show the world they live each and everyone of them.

I'm not a fan and don't follow them. But they do what they do and make money from it because people do.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 17/12/2024 19:27

@oakleaffy I think she’s constantly trying to recreate the newborn stage as she loved newborns but then must get bored when they get to 6 months or so and get pregnant again. Wonder how she’s coping now she’s older unless she’s living the newborn through her grandkids. Makes me wonder if it’s the newborn stage she loved or the attention that came with being pregnant/giving birth that she craved.

Needmorelego · 17/12/2024 19:27

@oakleaffy not defending them because to be honest I don't find them interesting
but.....they weren't the first 13 and 17 year olds to have sex with each other and they won't be the last.
There is a gap of a few years between the eldest son and the second child - so obviously they learnt control or contraception for a few years.
If he really was a "paedophile" then surely he would have got bored with her 20 babies ago and left her for a younger model (yes I know 🤮).

MerryChristmasYaFilthyBrusselSprout · 17/12/2024 19:28

I’m sorry but a 35 year old man is not having any meaningful relationship with a sibling who is 4. It’s sad. That mother put her wants above the needs of all her children.

thats gross trying to excuse it. When he turned 18, she was still 13 years old for another three months (and was already pregnant by this point). So he was an adult and she was 13. Do not try to pass this off as normal - it’s far far from it.

I don't think they would be eligible for TC because of how much they earn through the bakery which is a fair whack! They charge around £4.50 a pie and I remember him saying how many thousands of pies they sold in a week it was a lot of money.
