This is DH. He hates turkey with an absolute passion. purely on principle I think. Every time we’ve hosted Christmas he refuses to cook it (which is fine because he is the chef in our house and he is very good at it!) but don’t make it into a “thing”

i play a game and sneak it into food where I can. Eg made a cottage pie the other week. Turkey mince went in. He had no idea.

I don't understand why the turkey lovers get so upset when people say they don't like it - they respond like someone is shitting on their Christmas - chill out - if you love turkey great - eat it for months after Christmas - who cares.

I’ve made liking turkey my whole personality. I even buy it when it’s not Christmas.

I don’t like lamb. Perhaps I am a rubbish cook but I don’t like it when other people or restaurants make it for me either.

I’m indifferent to turkey. We have it cause it’s tradition, innit?! It’s ok, not my favourite meat. I prefer beef or chicken.

Yes they take to insulting your cooking skill and insisting you must have bought frozen turkeys that aren't lovingly hand-reared by the local farmer, they can't understand how they like something and you don't - how can that be? They think you must be broken, didn't do it right they can't compute - the Christmas programming has crashed.

Gonna have to stop you there. Xmas pudding is fucking disgusting and always has been.
