To ask about men 5ft 7 and 9 stone?

Jumell · 17/12/2024 10:01

I’m getting back with my ex - and he mentioned last night he was 9 stone - he’s 5ft 7

i always thought he’s got a gorgeous lean physique but still think this sounds skinny for a man

but he looks fabulous I think 🙌

Any thoughts on these stats ?

Do it in kilograms. It might sound fatter.

😂

Hillrunning · 17/12/2024 10:44

Weird thread. I have no thoughts on his 'stats'. Bit of a red flag against you ro be creating a thread like this about him. I wouldn't do this to someone i like.

BeAzureAnt · 17/12/2024 10:44

My DH is 5'9" and 10 stone. He's thin and fit...walks long distances for exercise. I think it is lovely a 60-year old can walk 10-20 miles no problem.

ThianWinter · 17/12/2024 10:44

He's too short and too skinny, and unless I was 5ft and 7 stone, he'd make me feel massive. Is he on drugs?

ThatTealViewer · 17/12/2024 10:44

I’m 5’7” and 9.5 stone. A man with those measurements would be extremely unattractive to me.

Why is this relevant to you, though? You’re attracted to him, why are you soliciting opinions on his height/weight/skinniness?

LostittoBostik · 17/12/2024 10:45

Huh?

Sure, it's slim. Personally I like my men skinny and pointy. If that's not for you, move on 🤷‍♀️

Imbusytodaysorry · 17/12/2024 10:45

Jumell · 17/12/2024 10:13

It is skinny .. but as you say that body type is attractive to many !

Im the opposite . I couldn’t .

It’s your choice OP though we go for what/who we like .Not what others like

AnnaMagnani · 17/12/2024 10:46

DH is 5ft 9 and weighs under 10st. He does no exercise at all but appears to have inherited the gene which allows you to eat one biscuit and put the rest back. I, sadly, do not have this gene.

He isn't skinny, just healthy looking and naturally slight build.

nanodyne · 17/12/2024 10:46

My DH is 167cm and 56kg, so around the same - he's just slim. I think BMI wise he's on the lower end of healthy, around 19?

JustCosy · 17/12/2024 10:48

I've always felt horrible about the fact that a man under 5'11ft, no matter how handsome, just would not be a man I'd want to be with. Sounds so shallow but 5'7 would be a complete no from me. Along with the slenderness of 9 stone.

I'm married to a 6ft broad hunk, so I don't have to think about my shallowness much 😬

But yes, weird thread.

IMustDoMoreExercise · 17/12/2024 10:50

He is exactly the same height and weight as my husband. He does not look skinny at all.

Delphiniumandlupins · 17/12/2024 10:51

I don't even know my own weight. Surely what matters is his health and whether you like how he looks? Actual stats are rarely important outside of a medical setting.

Iwishiwasagiraffe · 17/12/2024 10:52

I have no thoughts regarding his stats.

I do have thought about you posting his stats for other people to give opinions on though. That’s weird. And unnecessary

Crazybaby123 · 17/12/2024 10:56

Surely you can just do his BMI. Although this is quite weird, imagine if he was asking the same about you on a mens forum... I think i would just focus on the real world instead of this bizarre rabbit hole.

Why is he an ex is probably the better question OP....

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 17/12/2024 11:01

My husband is 5ft 8 and about 11 stone and he's got a bit of a tum on him, trousers are 36inch waist and collar size is 16.5 and his bmi is in the overweight section.

9 stone sounds like a healthy weight for 5 7

Depends on your height... I'm 5ft so my 5ft 8in husband is still 1.5 heads taller than me and I have to go in tiptoes to kiss him...

Guess I have the pick of the bunch. Although a tall friend was pissed off when I dated a 6ft 1in guy at uni 🤣

No definitely no drugs lol!

His bmi would be around 23.4 which is definitely not overweight by any stretch of the imagination.

Kitkat1523 · 17/12/2024 11:06

Jumell · 17/12/2024 10:02

Do you think like me it sounds thin for a man

or not particularly

his bmi is probably ok…..I’m 5ft 6 and weigh 8 stone 6….and have a healthy bmi ….so he likely is within limits…..but he would be far too short ….
my DP is 6 ft and that’s not tall these days ….all my sons and nephews are well over 6 ft

DoIhavegreeneyes · 17/12/2024 11:06

That size and weight is about the same as a professional jockey I think. They are extremely fit and strong.
If he is a bit muscular that would be very attractive.

Beeloux · 17/12/2024 11:09

I’m the same height and weight and have very slim arms/legs. Face looks gaunt if I go under 9 stone. I would think on a man it would look very skinny.

eastcoasterly · 17/12/2024 11:09

It's strange that OP randomly answers the obviously tongue in cheek comments but makes no attempt to address the reason behind the thread and the fact so many of us are saying the same thing- it's a strange post and raises suspicion. I question if there is an ex or if OP is just bored in the run up to Christmas, or maybe OP is the 5'7" guy, or possibly OP has insecurities about weight and height. Altogether odd topic regardless.
