To ask about men 5ft 7 and 9 stone?

Jumell · 17/12/2024 10:01

I’m getting back with my ex - and he mentioned last night he was 9 stone - he’s 5ft 7

i always thought he’s got a gorgeous lean physique but still think this sounds skinny for a man

but he looks fabulous I think 🙌

Any thoughts on these stats ?

He's featherweight in boxing terms. There's boxers at that weight and height and even lighter. You'd have to be around him and see what he eats and how he trains to judge.

If you're that height then 9 stone would look reasonable on either sex.
I'm around 5'6 so prefer taller men, usually pretty lanky and skinny. Is my preferred type.
You say he's your ex, what's changed that you think it will work this time? And why do you care what he weighs if you say you find him attractive?

Edited

were still in touch and since summer I’ve found I’ve gradually got the hots for him

  • we’re both a bit older and more mellow now !

also no his weight in scales absolutely doesn’t matter

Let’s hope he’s not starting a similar thread about your weight!

I bet he probably is 🤣

I would say his age would make a difference too. If he's early 20s then it would probably suit him better than if he's older.
My other half is 5ft 7 and 41, he'd look like an absolute twig if he weighed 9st.

He’s 54

love it - Gen X!

we both can bond over the fact we enjoyed free primary school break time milk together 🤣

I mean… it’s short and skinny for a man, but you said you liked his physique so what’s the point of asking? Surely it makes no difference knowing the stats.

I’d much prefer 6ft and 12 stone but luckily everyone’s tastes are different.

Why is it bothering you, OP? I’m significantly heavier than my partner but you wouldn’t know by looking at us. I think a lot of men are just lighter. They’ve no tits or arse weighing them down 😂

True unless he were to use those adjectives to describe me 🤣

I think he sounds like he’d blow away in a strong wind. He definitely sounds underweight to me, but to each his own, I guess.

BobbyBiscuits · 17/12/2024 10:29

@Jumell fair play. I wish you well..still not sure why you posted about his weight though?

RestYeMerryGentlewomen · 17/12/2024 10:29

The real question is why was he an ex and is the reason now rectified?

eastcoasterly · 17/12/2024 10:31

This a weird thread tbh. Why are you asking? What does it matter and why on Earth did he randomly tell you his weight anyway? I know my husband's height and weight but only because of filling out things like mortgage life insurance forms etc. Couldn't tell you what any of my exes weighed cos no reason to know Hmm

TallulahBetty · 17/12/2024 10:32

What magazine/website is your article for?

ineedwinemorethanchocolate · 17/12/2024 10:35

I can't really imagine it, but my DH is 6 ft 3 and weighs about 18 stone.

ExH was 5 ft 7 and weighed 12 stone - which I thought was skinny!

Each to their own, of course.

motelhotel · 17/12/2024 10:36

He sounds really cheap to feed not like mine! I would deffo go for it 😂 cost of living and all that

Was an ex because of strain with working hours - reason it’s rectified is that in summer I started thinking he was hot ! 🤣

MyPithyPoster · 17/12/2024 10:38

He needs to healthily bulk up a little bit. He must have legs like twigs.

AnonymousBleep · 17/12/2024 10:38

9 stone is really skinny for a 5 foot 7 man.

FrenchandSaunders · 17/12/2024 10:39

Not for me, sounds way too slight, I like a chunkier chap. He'd make me feel mahooosive 😁

Edenmum2 · 17/12/2024 10:40

Really not sure why you'd even give this a second thought - you're attracted to him....does what strangers think matter to you?

Berga · 17/12/2024 10:41

I think you sound unhinged, controlling and judgy so he should go back to being an ex if he knows what's good for him.

Between this and your Greggs £30 food budget, you should get some help with your food and body issues.

MiddleAgedDread · 17/12/2024 10:41

HPandthelastwish · 17/12/2024 10:07

Well you'll be able to fatten him up with Greggs, and be safe in the knowledge he won't add to your tiny £30 a month food bill.

You say that but my BF is a similar height and weight and eats like a horse because he runs 50 miles a week plus strength work in the gym.

Yeah, I agree. I don’t get this thread at all.

mrlistersgelfbride · 17/12/2024 10:43

Your posts are unusual ...I've read a few.

However to answer your question, if he's attractive it wouldn't bother me.
