Basically this. I’ve text him as I can’t get in, I’ve just finished work. He’s on a works Xmas party.

Said he was setting off at 8:45 and he’d be home for 9 so I said cool, take the key.

Now it’s 10pm and I’m sat in a fucking bus shelter because he’s locked me out and won’t come back with the keys, he’s out and apparently I’m unreasonable for asking him to come home to at least let me in.

I haven’t a clue what to do, it’s 4°, my street is poorly lit and this place doesn’t shut til 12. I can’t afford a lock change so that’s out of the question and my mums not in. So I literally have to just wait.

If you private message me OP I might be able to put some money into a paypal account for you to get a room.

Is there anywhere else you can just go tonight? A parent / friend etc? Just don’t be there when he gets home. And then make plans to get rid.

WhatsApp your friends and relatives and ask for a bed for the night. You’ve been locked out, you need to be warm and inside.

Please leave him in the next few weeks, you deserve so much better. Leaving you locked out at night in the cold and WW3 is not normal behaviour. He actually sounds abusive.

Just get in a cab and get the key if he dosnt want you there get him to bring them out to the cab

Op, you have totally nailed it. It's not worth the aggro. Get the keys. Make sure he gives them to you while he is inside with his colleagues so he won't want to look abusive. Leave while he is still with his colleagues. Go home and never ever let him into your flat again. Why are you living like this? I do have the money? I don’t have the money for an emergency locksmith which is over £200 and I’m not paying for it anyway. It’s not my fault he’s like this.
