You’re definitely right about something small going a long way in times of need. I got a pocket hug whilst I was in hospital and it’s still in my purse 2 years later. I got the man resident as he’s back in the crisis house , I got him a wooden spoon sent as he knew the story behind it as we was laughing one day about a wooden spoon just being in my suitcase so I got one sent to the house and said ‘here’s your own strength spoon’ . He said it’s the loveliest thing anybody has ever done for him and it brought a tear to his eye 🥹🥹🥹xx

Oh dear that you were woken by the diggers! Do you mean this Mr Grey? I've read the books but haven't seen the films. I like Jamie Dornan though apart from when he played a serial killer in The Fall (although it was a really good series!).

Your cheese platter sounds perfect, slobs cheese platter or not 😂. That's good you can see the positives of your Christmas day despite not being with your children although it's OK to be sad too. I'm sure they'll be missing you so much too, even if they struggle to express it or feel it's being disloyal to their father to actually communicate that at the moment. Will your daughter have to do all the cooking or will your ex MIL do it?

Yes, I can't really decide whether to ask Amazon for a replacement for the book or not, it's only slightly affected. I'll see how it looks later I think.

I've the bulk of the morning over me now. It pays to start at 7.30am.
The boss brought a load of boxes of sweets in, you can't move here for chocolate.
I've never been that fussed on Jamie Dornan as an actor. Never watched 50 shades but I find I can stick him better the more he does. I quite enjoyed The Tourist but when I see things where he is interviewed as himself he seems like a really sound guy - but then most of us here in NI are!

I couldn’t be bothered to do all that sexual stuff with him though as haven't got a dermatology appointment till Jan now so legs not shaved but it would be nice if Mr grey sat on my sofa so I could just stare at him. Mr Grey replica has now gone in his van , he’s left behind Phil Mitchel and Ian Beale so the appeal has gone now. It’s a shame because I even brushed my hair and put a bra on incase you know he may have knocked on my door to check my pipes or something . Never mind
I think it will be my ex MIL and her daughter that do the cooking .

My smear test prompted me to shave my legs - I felt so bad about subjecting the poor nurse to them. The bath looked like a gorilla had been in it afterwards 😱.

@RaspberryBeretxx it’s a shame the book got damp. Amazon delivery drivers don’t always consider where they leave parcels and I guess they are so busy this time of the year. Hope you can get a replacement if needed.

Mr Grey is back! I’ve just made them a galaxy hot chocolate with cookies . I’m not perking I’m off men for life but the views nice .

Also I had a complete hot chocolate disaster . My kitchen looks like it’s been massacred by the Willy wonka factory.
First I made the hot chocolates as I would normally , hot chocolate and then put the hot water in. As I was stirring I noticed it looked very dark and not creamy as it should. It was then I realised it says on the tub thing ‘just add warm milk’ ffs 🤦‍♀️. So I poured down sink and made another . Put milk in microwave and it decided to have an explosion in there so yes I made them a lovely hot chocolate but I think next time I won’t offer xx

I spoke to the male resident at the crisis house other day on the phone and he brought tears to my eyes. He said he’s been staying at his mum and dad’s house and being looked after and his sister takes him for a walk and coffee everyday. He has financial stability and everything he wants but he feels like he does. He said he always thinks of me and thinks that I’m coping on my own and going through medical stuff and trauma and he said he feels bad because I’m getting through it and he’s not. I said to him you can’t help how you feel inside. I said everybody’s journey is different and you can’t compare the two. I said take cancer for instance , not everybody goes through the same journey and some people get better, some it takes a while with lots of treatment and some don’t . It’s an illness at the end of the day and however hard it may seem you just have to keep getting up each day and let your only focus be on that day nothing else . Don’t look too far ahead. Some days you can only try and get through the next hour and that’s ok. Appreciate the small things in your life. I said to him he should be proud of himself because when there is no struggle there is no strength xx

Sorry for swearing @RaspberryBeretxx but seriously fuck my life today! So I was cleaning kitchen and parcel came . It was only a spray lid for my kitchen cleaner and the person who sent it decided to put a million foam wotsits in the box which spilt all over the floor . I’ve just spent 10 mins picking them up only for the box to fall from the side again onto the floor 😭😭😭😭xx

I know! I mean I’ve still got 48 mugs left and 35 plates but it’s not the point is it xx

They might have left them on the kerb or the end of the drive - mine were left on top of the wheelie bin once. If they have driven off, they might well come back anyway. I don't think they would have done it on purpose.

In a rush again, but thanks for the shout outs. I’m just feeling a bit maudlin about some of the choices I’ve made in life. My husband is autistic and whilst a good man, I don’t get a lot of emotional support from him. Life gets a bit lonely sometimes. Still we’ve got to keep our chins up, boobs out and enjoy life, don’t we. Count our blessings for what we do have.
