Bloody hell people. The pink trousers have just made an unannounced appearance on the strictly final 😳 I did not know where to look.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣You never fail to make me laugh xx

Laura, you should feel proud of yourself. You are doing the right thing, you cannot let these people abuse you any more. If she has access to to your home she would have used the opportunity to claim you did something to her. You’re showing g so much strength to your children 💪. Xx

my weekend is good, thank you. my daughter got to see Father Christmas 😁.

😱 at the reappearance of the pink trousers! I have to start watching strictly 🤣.

Can you believe, Laura, my husband mistook my look of horror as one of appreciation and offered to buy some for himself…as a Christmas present to me. That would turn Christmas morning into the rocky horror show, I can tell you.

Apolloneuro · 15/12/2024 09:18

The panto was pretty dreadful. The king was Nick Cotton from Eastenders.

Everything kept going wrong. Firstly the beanstalk didn’t inflate properly and collapsed, then the scenery fell off, a bucket fell into the orchestra pit and a plane that was meant to fly across the stage got caught.

We were giggling but the girly enjoyed it.

Apolloneuro · 15/12/2024 17:14

Hellooooooo. Have you all gone off and started a thread without me? 🤣

AdmittowearingCrocs · 15/12/2024 17:31

@Apolloneuro I bet people are out doing Christmasy things. As for the Panto being dire, surely that is par for the course and part of the fun. Glad your girly enjoyed it, disaster’s and all 😂😂😂
Laura, hope you are good and having a restful day. Sending you a Sunday hug 🤗🎄

Hi @Apolloneuro , so sorry I am only just replying the days just gone today. Full of cold and have zero energy and then my sister came to see me as she’s going to Tenerife for Christmas to see her daughter.
You do make me laugh @Apolloneuro sorry but the panto sounds hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I was reading a thread last night that had me in stitches my belly hurt from laughing. It was the spornful section. Somebody had a boil on a not so pleasant place , their arse hole actually and right there on the thread there was a picture , of her arse hole! I spent a good 20 mins wondering how she managed to get such a good picture of it , her camera must be a very good one. FYI I’m sorry if it was a spoonies bottom it’s just well that took some balls to post that xx

@Apolloneuro thank you, I have had a quiet day as next week is really busy and then next Monday I am driving to my DS and DIL to spend Christmas with them. So still lots to organise and packing to do.
You are right, it has been unusually quiet on here today.
@Imbluedalale Laura I’m sorry you have a rotten cold. So many people have it. I spoke with my oldest DS today and he is unwell with it too. Hope you feel better very soon. What day is your doctors appointment regarding your throat. Hopefully you will be on the mend by then. 🤗🎄🎄🎄

Awww your Christmas sounds like it’s going to be lovely @AdmittowearingCrocs . I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Im currently sat with potato skins in my socks to soak up the toxins so hopefully I’ll start feeling better soon. My appointment is on Wednesday and then I’m going to M&S cafe which I’m so excited about (I know I know , I need to get a life) xx

I love an M&S cafe. I recently went with my best friend during a birthday shopping trip. The cakes were so good looking I couldn’t make up my mind what to have 🤣🤣 Finally went for a lemon drizzle as it’s one of my favourite 🍰

I love the Christmas menu I’m so sad and like to look at menus before I go . I’m going to have a s’mores hot chocolate and banana bread . Yummy. I love lemon drizzle cake too, my absolute favourite cake of all time is the iced M&S Madeira cake but they always sell out everywhere so quickly xx

Ooooh that sounds delicious, I don’t blame you looking at the menu. Always good to be prepared and it’s something to look forward to. Thanks for the tip about the iced Madeira cake, I shall keep an eye out for it.

I'm here!!
Not been up to much really, xmas tree is in and decorated, DH has started to re decorate the bathroom ( after just a little bit of moaning from me😂)
Roast chicken for dinner, just 2 days at work this week so all good.

Hope the ladies who aren't feeling fab are starting to feel a bit better xxx

Just want to add that the best panto I've ever seen was Captain Hook with Lesley Grantham and Joe pasquale, they were just bouncing off each other and there were lots of gags that just went over the kids heads

The worst was a few years later with Danny la Rou....honestly it was sad and the rest of the cast were trying to carry him

BeNavyCrab · 15/12/2024 21:30

I'm here too, I had a nice restful day reading some crafting magazines. My husband got a lift to a local race in the morning so I had a snooze. He came back happy after having a good race and picked up an age category prize. It's a handmade prize,a gold sprayed seashell stuck to a wall tile and the words written on it. Unfortunately it must have been some sort of marker that wasn't waterproof because by the time he got home most of the words had been rubbed off in his pocket but we soon fixed that with one of my pens. He really enjoyed the battle for first in ages between another runner from another club and they were only a few seconds apart at the end.

I love lemon drizzle cake too and definitely look at a menu before we go. Partly so there's no unexpected expensive costs but also so I can dilly dally with my choices, without annoying others. It's really good to have a treat to look forward to and cake is up there with my favourite treats.

We got an unexpected one last night when one of my husband's customers dropped in a package with some smoked mackerel in it, that he'd caught and smoked himself. It's so flavoursome and really nice to be thought about and given something special.

AdmittowearingCrocs · 15/12/2024 21:45

@BeNavyCrab glad you have been able to rest today. How good is that for your husband to win the prize.
Oh I love smoked mackerel so quite jealous. 😁

RaspberryBeretxx · 15/12/2024 21:56

I’m here too! Dd and I spent the day with DP at work so been a busy one but managed to do roast pork and bought a chocolate cheesecake.

sorry you’re all coldy @Imbluedalale . Hope you’ve feel better after a detox with the potato skins.

Hi @Munchyseeds2 , I thought I’d reply before I go to bed. Your day sounds lovely . What colour scheme are you going for in your bathroom? I have gone for dark green, I’m going to try and get some floating shelves and have plants on them, the nice dangly ones and I need to find a green mirror although I keep putting that off.
I’m absolutely craving a chicken dinner. I’m hoping I can see all my children together after Christmas and make them one. My daughter loves my homemade stuffing balls.
I’ve never been to a panto but would like to. I saw a funny video on tik tok it was Disney on ice and Olaf tripped and his head come off bless xx

Hi @BeNavyCrab , I’m glad to hear you’ve had a restful day . Did you get any inspiration from your crafting mags? Have you ever been on Etsy? They have some lovely crafting things on there.
Well done to your hubby for winning a prize!
Because I haven't been out much properly in months little things like going to a cafe I really look forward to. And then having a browse around M&S is my guilty pleasure.
Im unsure what treats to get for Christmas Day as I’ll be on my own so I’m going to make a platter to last me all day and watch films. I love cheese and biscuits and I adore cheese and pineapple on sticks. I just love cheese 😂.
That’s so low my that one of your hubbys customers did that . How thoughtful. I’ve never had mackerel what does it taste like?xx

Hi @RaspberryBeretxx , how are you? Oh I’m really craving a roast dinner now! Sounds delicious. I love cheesecake too. Did you enjoy it?
Potato skins are removed now I’m not feeling any better though 😂
My mum got me some ginger tea bags , pure ones from a Chinese shop she goes to but they are a-bit too gingerly for me .
Ive had absolutely no energy whatsoever this week felt lethargic all week.
Are you having Christmas at home this year?xx

Good morning Spoonies. Welcome to Monday and my last full week of work before I have some time off for Christmas.
@Apolloneuro I have to say I loved the sound of your panto. I used to go but I end up bored and fed up like my son so I didn't get any tickets this year. Pretty sure last years weren't used as he didn't fancy it so lesson learned. There's a person here who is in panto every year for over 30 years and he must be well in his 70s. It's time for someone fresher 😂
@Imbluedalale I would love that ginger tea. Stronger the better but I make my own ginger shots so I'm used to it. I love bringing them to work and seeing steam flying out of a workmates ears if they've never had it before.
I hope you feel better soon. This is the first day I've felt properly myself. Head is clear.
I bought TV Times last week out of pure habit since childhood. When I have TV guides at my finger tips! £5.50 it was...... when did that happen!!!!

Good morning lovely, well I eat my cake because I’ve woken up and feel loads better so the potato skins must have worked.
Ohhh your last week at work how exciting. Are you in the festive mood yet?
I’m feeling as festive as Miss Trunchbull would be at a 5 year olds Christmas party.
I’ll send you some of this ginger tea , it’s not my cup of tea at all . It tastes spicy .
Im glad you’re feeling better. Just in time for chrimbo.
£5.50! That’s daylight robbery. Didn’t it used to be a couple of quid?xx
