Apologies if there is already a thread on this?

See attached screenshots

Looks like people have really been waiting on his downfall 🤭🤭

(Obviously, I know it's a serious matter for those who've been victimised by the guy, not being dismissive of them)

Just seems like he's really pissed off his fellow celebs

Just waiting for the announcement that he has checked into the Priory for his "mental health" and the "poor me I was so stressed, I'm the real victim here" storyline. That is usually stage two of the predator handbook after their behaviour becomes public knowledge.

Or the claim that they're seeking treatment for "sex addiction" or some kind of substance abuse that was driving their behaviour.

Followed by the carefully choreographed "remorse" interviews, a stint on I Used To Be A Celeb Get Me A Career Again and possibly a memoir.

<rolls eyes>

Or the joy of a rehabilitative stint on a desert island including naked running on the beach? Sounds like that would be right up the egg's street.

Mastertwat 😂😂😂

I dont think we can underestimate how much men, even very nice ones, are so steeped in patriarchy that they just dismiss anything that does not fit. I once sat in a room with a very old (40+ years) friend of mine while I, his wife and 2 daughters all told him how uncomfortable a mutual friends behaviour made us. He was totally dismissive. Now his girls are old enough to have graduated from uni, I asked him if he remembered that time - he got quite sheepish and said he had come to understand it from a different perspective now. Fair play to him for being open to that, I guess. But I was so disappointed in him at the time, and it forever changed the way I see him.

CocoapuffPuff · 29/11/2024 13:15

The older I get, the more I see how many men (not all, but a significant proportion of them) don't see women as fully human.

SatansBobbleheadedDashboardOrnament · 29/11/2024 13:15

He'll be on YouTube doing Christmas cooking videos with wifey before you know it. Matching polo necks.

Hotflushesandchilblains · 29/11/2024 13:15

Ps. I have seen a number of abusive, manipulative men claiming to be autistic. If he does trot it out, he wont be the first. But the vast majority of autistic men I have met (and it is a lot) are very focused on right and wrong and would never dream of doing things like this.

Not sure I feel inclined to titter over this myself. It looks like he’s been genuinely out of order.

I hope he reads this thread

There are some people who vanity search for themselves on Goggle.

Gregg Wallace where I'd be really unsurprised if he did exactly that and then popped up to make a comment saying how hard done by Gregg Wallace has been under a pseudonym.

Having said that he'd probably get his wife to do it for him wouldn't he?

Seriously though I bet he genuinely doesn't get it and doesn't understand what he's done wrong and why he's upset so many women because his ego is just that huge and he really does think he's god's gift to women.

What is the difference between GW and JB from the Repair Shop? Why has JB been edited out of all the future programmes, while we still have to see GW’s ugly gurning face?

Much harder to edit GW out of Masterchef than JB out of the Repair Shop, given JB's not the only one greeting people bringing their stuff in and hardly ever does any repair work himself. GW is wandering about all the time in lots of shots.

What is it they say 'be nice to people on the way up because you may meet them again on the way down'.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bloke...

Would he be topless, rather than in a polo neck?

I've seen far too many photos of him half naked in the last couple of days...

This is so true! I saw one just the other day. It's like the press were priming the story or something...! 😂😜

TonTonMacoute · 29/11/2024 14:16

The Daily Telegraph seem to have initiated this latest campaign, yet they have just published a piece by William Sitwell saying what a top bloke his mate Gregggg is!

BustingBaoBun · 29/11/2024 14:37

That article by William Sitwell is gobsmacking. He says his 'mate' Greggggg is inappropriate and his jokes are like he's running a Bernard Manning workshop.

Does he not realise we left the 60s a long time ago. I remember Manning's jokes they were honestly so disgusting they can't be repeated. They were sexist, homophobic and unbelievably racist and him performing was like a National Front comedy club. If I repeated even one of Manning's jokes here, I would expect to be banned from MN for life.

Why does his 'mate' Sitwell think this is OK. He says he's a decent bloke and will be back on our screens in no time.
To be honest, it's like Jim Davidson who 'graced' our screens for far too long. I hope Greg disappears for good.

He finishes his article with this...
And I’m sure we all hope this force of nature will be back on set sooner than you can say, as his catchphrase goes, “buttery biscuit base”.

Errrrrr.... no.

NetZeroZealot · 29/11/2024 14:53

Astonishing piece by William Sitwell. Annoyingly the telegraph has turned off the comments on that article. Not once does he acknowledge how he must have made women feel. He should be cancelled too.

SidewaysOtter · 29/11/2024 15:19

I’m disappointed in Sitwell, I like his books.

Mind you, I think he got sacked by Waitrose after joking about killing vegans Hmm

Donttellempike · 29/11/2024 15:20

To be fair, he got away with this behavior because he was allowed to. For years and years. Where were the brakes on his behavior ?

Not at the BBC clearly

WinterCrow · 29/11/2024 15:23

I think it's interesting that the regular posters on the longstanding threads on Masterchef never rated 'Fuck Off Gregg' Wallace or William Sitwell. The popular foodies are Grace, Jay and Jimi.

Uricon2 · 29/11/2024 15:24

Greg Wallace is younger than me. There is no excuse (not that there ever really was) for it being part of the "cultural climate" he's always known as he's lived through the decades where this sort of behaviour has rightly become unacceptable.

Again, it's left to the women subjected to his behaviour to have to come forward and bring it to light. Do the men he works with, who must know about at least some of this, really think it's OK? It reminds me of the situation with Weinstein, where I know of precisely 2 men who called him out (Robert Lindsay and Brad Pitt) , apologies if there are more. I suppose in HW's case he was an uber powerful Hollywood moghul. I can't see what makes GW special or important in any way, shape or form.

In my experience, men that are the overly gregarious (no pun intended) life and soul of the party turn out to be dodgy sex pests.
They hide their predatory behaviour behind ‘great fun guy’ personality.
seen it time and time again.

And if you complain you are a humourless killjoy
