arghhhhhhh

everyday this I speak to this man (in fact he is the husband of a good friend but also ).

he is a nice enough chap (ooh, get me sounding all posh), and at the moment is being fab as I have no car and he is helping with my school runs, so I cannot complain toooooo much, (or can I).

welllllllllllllll........

he talks to me, talks to DS2, speaks ABOUT DS2, says his name, and then laughs, all because he reckons he has a problem with speaking......well.....his problem isn;t any other words except JACOB, which for some reason he says as JACUM.....arghhh.

he is told by my son, and by me, repeatedly, that it is JACOB, he says sorry, and then says it sloooooowly, saying it with the B really obviously, and then in the next breath he gets it wrong AGAIN...

even my son, with his hands on his hips, tells him that he is wrong and that his name is Jacob, and no-one else gets it wrong (well, friends kiddies do but that is normal.....most of 'em can;t even say their own name's properly), but A GROWN MAN??????? >

see...now children getting it wrong I understand....my DD1 (megan) called herself 'mennon' for YEARS (and was soooo cute too), so I really find kiddies pronunciation sweet.

adults however............now they shouold be beaten into submission!!!!

((or am I))

I worked with someone who always said Jampes instead of James. He could not change it because he could not hear what he was doing wrong. He was dyslexic but i don't know if that is relevant.

hatrick just realised the name combo I told you we liked earlier gives potential bump initials CJD

hatrick....is your DD's name shortened from anything, or Thea in it's own right??

am interested as it can be a shortened version of my name in some books, yet most look at me as tho I am insane if I mention it and shorten my name to lea......

I like Thea!!!
