Is it just me

Yeah, little girls don't need to be sitting with their legs wide open like that, TBh it doesn't even help market the shorts because you have to zoom in to see they're shorts

poppymango · 22/11/2024 16:05

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 22/11/2024 15:58

Such a wilfully ignorant response.

Quite.

It's a combination of the the pose, facial expression, clothing style, and make up - If she was standing or sitting cross legged with a big goofy childlike grin it would be different.

StormingNorman · 22/11/2024 16:11

avaritablevampire · 22/11/2024 15:04

Would you be happy to know some bloke will be pleasuring himself over that image? Break down the boundaries then when a child is harmed, blame her because of her clothing choice, which has subliminally been chosen for her. The sexualisation of children particularly young girls needs to stop. I'm more than happy to metaphorically clutch my pearls if it means it reducing harm to children.

Exactly this. There are people out there who will be misusing this picture.

idnhxun · 22/11/2024 16:13

Your instincts are correct. Of course it’s meant to be subtle to get across the line. Those who don’t think there’s anything wrong are naive

Disgusting that people would do this to make money

Bear with while I clutch my pearls ... Putin could nuke the west, and you're worried about a posed marketing photo?

Better get off here and start prepping then eh?

Or you could just be rational.

tolerable · 22/11/2024 16:22

is the top made from actual leopard fur?is the shorts vegan eco friendly sustainable? are "they"being feminised to adhere to societys "norms"..is it makae up or permanent tatoo style natural enhancements? is "they"on minimam wage?skipping school to pose?being exploited and smuggled in to studio for trafiking purposes?

Chocolatesnowman2 · 22/11/2024 16:22

Yes it's of
She's a child and they are trying to make her look sexy

Rosebud21 · 22/11/2024 16:22

YANBU, & it's not pearl clutching

SheSaidSheWouldButSheLied · 22/11/2024 16:24

The outfit is a bit adult and the kid seems to be wearing make-up, but I couldn't get worked up about it.

SweetSixty · 22/11/2024 16:35

She looks like a child posing in Liz Hurley's clothes.
It's off.

StasisMom · 22/11/2024 16:36

I get what you mean. I'd prefer she was wearing black tights under the shirts. I don't have an issue with the outfit though, it's more the grown up outfit plus the pose.

Americano75 · 22/11/2024 16:39

No, that's not OK.

And I'd rather clutch my pearls until I'm blue in the face than be willfully ignorant.

AudiobookListener · 22/11/2024 16:40

Ponoka7 · 22/11/2024 12:48

Yep because sexial exploitation of children, still matters.
Legs open, mouth slightly open, it's a adult pose and completely unnecessary. Link how to complain and you won't be the only one doing so.

Yep, that hasn't happened by accident. I think it's quite vile.

MieleLimone · 22/11/2024 16:41

if you change the clothing to swimwear/underwear - is the pose still ok?

I'm always a bit bemused by this type of response. A quick search shows you've been posting on various threads covering weighty topics like church bells and towels in bins. So why are you tone policing this one?

Is no one allowed to be concerned about anything other than Putin potentially nuking the West? Seems a bit extreme.

Xrayspexxx · 22/11/2024 17:03

Of all the pictures they could have used to advertise their kids clothing rage, it’s a bizarre choice. Looks like it was taken in a break between proper shots when the kid got tired/ bored and sat down on the floor.
Also, the lipstick gives it modern day Lolita vibes. So add the unusual pose, makeup and the fact that the clothes are smaller versions of adult women’s clothing (which is what seems to be in for that age range) and altogether yes, it’s off yes.

SweetSixty · 22/11/2024 17:15

I agree. If she was dancing in this outfit with a group of other girls having fun it would be fine but she just looks vulnerable in that pose. I really don't like it.

It's on their website - none of the other photos look like this

Oh, those two things are absolutely definitely related, aren’t they. We should definitely not do anything about anything while Putin is a threat. That makes absolute sense.

Oh, sorry, I just realised you were just trying to shame the OP right?

Miniopolis · 22/11/2024 21:04

Catza · 22/11/2024 11:24

It's a child wearing full cover top and shorts. Oh dear, she has some leg exposed. Are we in 1800s? Would you feel the same if it was a boy?
If your mind immediately goes into "inappropriate" place when you see a young teenager sitting on the floor, I'm afraid it's more of a you problem.

Oh, that old chestnut. 🙄

Miniopolis · 22/11/2024 21:06

StormingNorman · 22/11/2024 14:26

For me it’s the outfit. Leather shorts and a sheer leopard print top. It’s overtly sexual. Particularly with the red lipstick.

It’s reminiscent of the “on a bender” and “just been shagged” fashion photos from the 90s.

Yes, this. There’s a different demographic on here recently, though, I guess they’re probably buying this based on the ad.
