What needs to be invented that hasn’t been yet?

We need car radio that we can pause. There was a quiz on the radio earlier and I waited ages for the answer but eventually had to go to a meeting. I wish I could pause it and start where I’d turned the engine off. Same as a rewind for when you start the car at the end of a song you love.

What else needs to be invented?

Time travel so you could go back to say the 1980s with 2024 wages and buy stuff there then take it back here (and food wouldn't go off). We d all be rich then.

I know it doesn’t work for everyone but I don’t have periods on the mirena coil. Got it at 22 and it honestly changed my life. I have only had two breaks from it to have DC.

Mine too. I read a thread on here years ago that put me off, and then my lovely gp told me she had one and loved it. It has made my life so much better.

Something to replace plastic that’s biodegradable and safe for everyone. Microplastic pollution is a global problem.

Cars that only work when fingerprint has been taken. A device buried deep within the engine to enable police etc to be able to safely bring vehicles to a safe controlled stop. Also maybe insurance could have these for when you report your vehicle stolen. Also emergency exits on motorways so if there's an incident then traffic can be diverted off instead of having to wait for hours. This could also assist emergency vehicles. Also, ( possibly solar powered?) a road surface that's always an ambient temperature & then we hopefully wouldn't have soany accidents on icy roads.

Maybe a little remote control that let's you translate that someone else is saying, instantly.

There are apps that you can speak into on your phone and it will put the translation up onscreen at the same time.

This used to exist, I remember my Grandma handing them out to us in Spain in the 60s and 70s!

They were tictacs and your Grandma was fibbing!

The mirena is the best medical decision I ever made. Life-changing, no exaggeration.
They need to invent the empathy gun and the babel fish from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. I know there's similar tech to the Babel fish now but it's far from the perfect, instant translation I'd like. And I'd love to shoot my husband with an empathy gun. Every. Single. Day.

Is the app to open the door on your mobile phone?

Yes it is but I use the little stick on tile thing which is on the back of my phone. Just wave it over and it unlocks.

Means All the kids have the same and people who need to get in like PIL and dog walker have the code.

We’re in the UK.

Marmite and butter mixed together to save getting butter in the marmite jar and halving the number of containers.

Could call it "marter" or "butmite"

M&S used to sell it

Yes I got mine before the internet was quite so full of these kinds of reviews but there is a lot of negative comments about it online. I think a lot of people who are happy with it just don’t think about it that much. But when I look back at my teens/ early 20s, the stressing over getting bloody on my clothes/ sheets, the pain, the worrying about swimming annd holidays.. all just gone. It really is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My periods were also much lighter when I removed it to TTC, I wonder if it that would have been the case as I got older if I hadn’t had it, I suspect not.

A wifi bath. So I can tap an app when I'm on my way home and it runs a bubble bath ready for me.

I did think that using GPS positioning would be a great use of technology to aid with this. As soon as I leave work it detects I'm out of my 'work' zone and starts running the bath. But then I thought about the amount of times I divert off and go shopping, or nip to a friend's, etc, and that would add up to a LOT of wasted water and energy, so I'm happy to settle for tapping an app instead.

Panic alarms. They exist.
