If you could say something out loud you knew you could never say, what would it be?

I'll go first.

I wish I could tell my SIL that I dislike her so much and I wish she'd never met my BIL. I hate that she is now part of our family. She came to disrupt our (far from perfect but lovely) family. I hate the way she treats my BIL. I hate how she makes everyone pander to her every whim. How all her messages are passive aggressive and how rude she is to my MIL. I could never say this out loud of course, but I dream of it often.

Feels good getting that out of my chest.

Anyone else feel free to add.

Stop getting involved with / having babies with / marrying these loser men who are verbally abusive, physically abusive, financially abusive, lazy, misogynistic, selfish, narcissistic, gaslighting, cheating, fuckwits!

I'd scream out to everyone who I met on a daily basis that if they eat meat, they should be forced to watch Earthlings and Land of Hope and Glory.

I'd tell people that I despise them for continuing to consume meat, eggs and dairy, no matter how much they paid for it, because they just won't wake up and understand that an animal suffers each time they take something from it - it's life, it's babies, it's food.

I'd tell those who bet on horse racing how I'd hate for them to be used and to be profited from, the same as anyone who breeds any animal for profit. I'd tell those who buy leather how I'd hate to sit on their skin after they'd become a meal.

I'd scream from the biggest platform I could to make people realise that there is no ethical or kind way to treat an animal if you are going to imprison it, take it's life and take everything that it had.

What about the people that can’t eat highly processed vegan UPF because they have a tendency to diabetes/pre-diabetes/insulin resistance/pcos?

Meat and eggs and dairy can be healthy sources of nutrition for them. Isn’t human suffering caused by a shitty processed carb filled diet worse ethically?

Have you not had a Covid vaccine? Because all were made from animal testing. Likewise most medications safety trials.

I know what happened was terrible but it still haunts me to this day and I hope you're happy I really do. I'm sorry.

The CEO of a family-run charity I worked for. The place and people were toxic and you should be ashamed of the way you turned everything I raised in my one to one back on me. Remember the weekly meetings which just turned into a bitchfest concentrated on one person each week? You couldn't understand what I was getting at when I raised that too. The endless nights of sleeplessness and crying because of that place. I ended up having a breakdown and my confidence hasn't recovered. Having never thought I was good enough for anything after I left, I've been on top of game in the workplace for 4 years now so it was you, not me. If I was so shit, why did one of your family (who was shite at his job) ask me to consider staying? Weirdos.

I would say to a particular client: you're completely and utterly unreasonable and demanding and you don't pay our fees properly. You act like you're the absolute best and super innovative and you expect us to say how high the very nano second you say jump - you want gold plated service but you never ever want to pay for it. Every time you demand something it's like you think you're our only client and we're all just sitting around waiting to respond to your stupid questions and demands (often for free) but we have many many other clients and my god we like them so much more, they're so normal and nice compared to you and every piece of work is so much easier. You always express to be 'very surprised' whenever we give you an update on fees even though all our assumptions were busted. You're actually really bad for my mental health, I hate you, you give me anxiety and I wish I never ever had to do any work with you again.

I think I might actually be your client ! I'm sorry ! 😁😂

Autism and ADHD are misused terms all the time, and I think 9/10 people diagnosed with it aren't any of those things at all. Also takes away help from people who genuinely undoubtedly are autistic.

I see people on this website speculate their daughter is autistic because she's shy, or struggling to fit in, or a bit of a geek.
Or their son has ADHD because he can be a bit loud and energetic.

Edited

I think there is a huge overlap with symptoms of Autism and ADHD with complex trauma, sometimes it's hard to tell which it is. Nearly everyone I know getting a diagnosis had some pretty significant ACEs as a child.

30 years of working with children and families in mental health I completely agree. Even low level but regular unattuned/invalidating/unpredictable parenting can contribute I think. But parents are doing their best and it’s not a blame thing. It’s just a learning thing and no one teaches you how to parent so if you had less than adequate parenting yourself or unresolved childhood trauma then parenting may be much harder. You can’t trust your instincts so well. I know from my own experience. It’s easier (for the adults) if the problem is located in the child though of course.

This must take the prize for the most heartless comment on the thread. Try asking people who have been left to pickup the pieces & the guilt they feel having not recognised the often well hidden turmoil before it happened.

This thread is for people to say what they would never say out loud in real life, and that's all the poster is doing.

Absolutely agree with all of this .

I'd love to tell my step brother that he's an unbearable snob and a bore who was unbelievably cruel to his Father (my step Father - who treated me as if I were his own daughter), and that I don't care if I ever talk to him or see him again.

Oh - and that his wife is a gold digging leech and drunk and is with him only for his money.

NudgeCom · 14/11/2024 22:33

I know you had it all in your teen years.
But uni was disappointing and you slunk back home and were no longer Queen Bea.
I met your brother and we had a different life to you. You were jealous and that came out in spiteful ways. You weren't part of our life but you muscled in, shat and moved on.
You didn't have a boyfriend for what ten years, it got more desperate and you got meaner to people who had nothing to do with that.
I got married. I couldn't afford a bridesmaid and you weren't my friend. Inviting two mates along wasn't cool, copying my wedding dress wasn't cool, you looked weird.
Do you remember making your parents host your singleton summer parties every year after our wedding. You should have got married first, you would have appreciated it more.
It was sad you had anorexia, your dad has always made weird comments.
You were still mean.
Then you met him, he needed you, it's kind of worked.
You were rubbish parents and you sucked the grandparents away from my kids. It hasn't been remotely fair. Your kids own were ignored and neglected.
I'm genuinely sorry you have cancer but after your recent stunt it's clear you are as always not a nice person.
We've realised none of us- you brother, myself or your nieces will miss you. Unfortunately, you totally misjudged the last encounter and we 've moved on from being silently shocked.

Auburngal · 14/11/2024 22:45

When I was at my last job, some customers came up to me asking “do you know if (shop in the same shopping area) sells (product)”. i knew the answer. Other times it was things I don’t buy for obvious reasons- pet stuff and baby stuff and didn’t know.

I was so tempted to say “why the fuck can’t you look yourself”

Before anyone asks these people who asked me these questions weren’t elderly.

oh fuck off in your little bubble of self-rightousness. People steal for kicks not just because they are hungry. They aren't eating pens are they?

Love this!!!

Cattery · 15/11/2024 10:47

You’re a snake. I never trusted you when we were kids. Stop sugar coating your life and fake marriage. I hope he calls your bluff and asks for a divorce. He deserves to know that you’re planning to stitch him up. You’ve taken advantage of him and his family but not one of them has managed to work you out. I have. I did a long time ago. You’re a jealous bitter bastard. Stop picking on me. Do some self analysis and you’ll see why you’re like you are. You were at a disadvantage from the day you were born. That’s not my fault. It’s the fault of the parent who put themselves before every child they had and left a trail of destruction in their wake. The far reaching consequences of this have damaged so many lives and society is left to pick up the pieces. Pay back all the money you owe to the soft touches you’ve managed to extort. Snake

That people with tattoos/fish lips/turkey teeth are self-harming. Acknowledge and work on it please.

That I love my DP but I hate the fact he’s a man. I have had to counterbalance all the misogyny in the world by becoming a misandrist!

Letitgoe · 15/11/2024 12:06

We have never been friends SIL, you made my BIL a worse person for being with you. You are self centred and while probably not meaning to be horrible caused far too many situations which have hurt peoples feelings. You are so insecure it drives me insane. You have never worked a day in your life, never tried hard at school and failed. Your only achievement is being about to be knocked up quickly, I do have concerns what the futures holds for you when the kids have grown. I know you are jealous of me but deep down I am jealous of you, I got told you have to work hard, study and that’s how you succeed. You landed on your feet by getting knocked up which goes against everything society tells us.

Auburngal · 15/11/2024 12:07

Another Christmas related one about Xmas.

I worked 3 or 4 BDs over my 17 years of working at my last job.

On BD - The number of customers who said “it’s a disgrace that the store is open today”

So so tempted to say “if you think it’s a disgrace, you don’t visit the shops!. Besides people like you morons are the reason why we stay open on BD.”

@LadyGabriella Your thoughts on a vegan diet is that it is purely UPF foods? If that is the case, I can assure you that a vegan diet can be filled with foods that are high in protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and highly recommended to be eaten whether you are vegan or omnivore.

I'm going to caveat this by saying I'm not a dietician or doctor, and therefore will not be commenting on particular health conditions and the dietary needs required.

As to my thoughts about those people who can't eat a plant based diet due to medical conditions, then my answer to your next question might give you a clue about my thoughts.

I take medication and vaccines, if needed, whether they have been tested on animals or if they contain animal ingredients. Why? Because there are no alternatives. I try my best to remain healthy, and will only take medication if needed. An example of this was when I had a severe infection. I asked the Dr for liquid antibiotics which I had read contained no animal ingredients, however, due to the severity of the infection the Dr said I had to take oral tablets, which I knew were not vegetarian - casing? Can't quite remember. So, if people are unable to eat a plant based diet due to medical conditions, then fair enough. They can't control that.

Now, how many of the 8 billion people on this planet can't eat a plant based diet due to health reasons? I personally know of none.

LindorDoubleChoc · 15/11/2024 20:24

Your mental health doesn't top trump every relationship you have. It's not the gotcha you think it is. You need to grow up (at the age of 41).

Ok, I will bite. Me. I won't say my extremely low B12 and Vit D due to severe PCOS affecting both my physical and mental health make it 100% impossible for me to eat a vegan diet, but the combination of these issues and my relative poverty make it very very difficult.

Yes, I know I am typing this on a device, but we all know that internet is needed in this day and age, it's virtually impossible to keep track of UC payments or look for work or develop skills to find work without internet.

SpryCat · 15/11/2024 21:19

I have in the past after putting up with a lot of sh*t lost my temper and have told people the truth.

HereForTheAnimals · 15/11/2024 21:48

@PolkaDotOlgaDaPolga I didn't ask you to bite, and I do acknowledge that people have health conditions which might dictate what they can/can't eat. The original OP asked what I would love to say but can't. It breaks my heart the amount of suffering that many more than 8 billion animals endure each day, and yes, I want to fucking scream sometimes.

As I said, I'm not going to speak about medical conditions and diet, because I'm not qualified.

Your point about affordability is off though, because a plant based diet is the most affordable going.

malificent7 · 15/11/2024 22:01

" I know veganism is best for the animals and the planet (i tried to be vegan once and failed) but we humans are natural hunters and it is deep within our psyche to hunt and kill. We are not a nice species and as we are hellbent on ruining the planet, we are terminally thick too. We know exactly what we need to do; stop driving, flying and vote green but we cannot be arsed and we dont care as all we care about is short term survival and £££££.
