Do you use fake jewellery to travel?

I've only just come across this as a thing very recently.

I don't know anyone in real life who does this?

I have expensive jewellery, engagement, wedding & eternity rings are in excess of 20k. And I generally wear a gold Anoushka necklace or similar.

I travel a lot for work & pleasure & I always wear my jewellery.

I generally only bring what I wear - I don't carry extras. But I've recently read about people having entire fake sets that they wear travelling

I'd hate that! Do you have fake jewellery just for travelling?

@Fluffypuppy1 I've been asked to remove all metal before. I did put rings in my handbag but that had to go on the belt through a short scanner. DH forgot to take something out of a pocket and had to have a more thorough scan so had to remove shoes.

My engagement ring has been valued at £62K. We always try to get valuation down because insurance is insane. I don't think people realise it's bonkers value and the reason it's insured is in case the stone get knocked out - despite the setting having to be verified every year as part of the insurance process. I do wear it every day so on a day to day basis after 24 years not too bad! Wedding ring was 'only' £600 platinum ring Cartier.

Can we see the £62k ring please??
