Apoplectic that ITV have chosen Queen Camilla to host a documentary highlighting the domestic abuse of women when she was King Charle's OW for many years and complicit in his abuse of Princess Diana.

World gone mad!

Queen my ass she's the King's missus.

As one comedian said

"She gives hope to all the sidepieces out there".
😂

Queen Consort is a job title, the Queen Mother was a Queen Consort, Queen Mary was a Queen Consort, every Queen who is married to a King is a consort, they are not known as Queen Consort they are known as Queen or Queen and their first name.

I thought queen consort was only a title for the wife of a king until they themselves are coronated then their title is changed to queen?

I have not read the full thread but I’d like to know when Camilla’s interest in these charities began exactly .
I suspect the charity work and the choice of this area in particular formed part of the intensive image rehabilitation effort that royal advisors set in train for Camilla . Wasn’t a tabloid editor employed ?
We’ve all seem the photos of Camilla laughing it up with Jeremy clarkson, and we know what he wrote .

No it's the title given to any woman who is married to a king.

It's different from a queen who is a queen by inheriting the title. Queen consort Is only queen because she married a king. Whereas queen Elizabeth 2 was a queen by birthright.

So the queen mother Was a queen consort because she married a king
Queen Elizabeth 2 was a queen
Camilla is queen consort as she married a king.

Freethebees · 11/11/2024 22:58

You can call her whatever you like but the term Queen is an insult to Liz II. And even more so that in the 80s Chas had to marry a virginal type but 25 years later ended up with someone else's cast off. I used to love the monarchy as well.

No. No man that I've been in relationship has ever had an affair with another woman. (To my knowledge).

I still think that Camilla was disgusting

Sorry don’t believe you at all, no one gets so ridiculously upset about an affair that happened to a dead person who you never met nearly 40 years ago, your projection is obvious.

I'm not sure why people are so shocked that a member of the RF has had affairs. Most King's have had mistresses. Most of the aristocracy have been shagging each other and various Royals outside of marriage for centuries. If being a faithful husband was a prerequisite for being King then we wouldn't have had any.

I'm not upset at all. We are discussing how hypocritical it is for camilla to do this documentary.

You do realise that's what thus thread was started for, yes?

The OP (not me) posted that camilla is hypocritical for doing this documentary, and we are all replying to the OP.

Sylviacrystal · 11/11/2024 22:46

I live in a studio flat..

The royal families are more hypocrites aren't they, when they have multiple palaces?

If they gave one palace for public use for the homeless, you would get a lot of homeless people off the streets.

Honestly you sound clueless.

You are not pointing it out at all, you are coming up with ridiculous suggestions to an incredibly complex issue.

But you do realise that another person (op) started this thread - about camilla being hypocritical,

And that is why we are all discussing the topic Yes?

No one is extremely upset over camilla. We are discussing the OPs post.

The point is 'it's hypocritical for an extremely wealthy man , who has benefitted from an extremely unfair system - to then do a documentary about homeless people"

When he is rolling in riches himself. And he wont stop benefitting from the unfair system. Do you not see that?

I'm certainly far from the only person who has said that about william

Ukisgaslit · 11/11/2024 23:21

Yes OP- I believe ALL royal charity work is hypocritical- the royals benefit more than the charity . It’s PR for them and the charity does not seem to benefit much at all .
There was a report a few years ago which pointed this out .

They need a new trick and fast

GiveusatwirlAnthea · 11/11/2024 23:22

Ok have it your way Camilla is a domestic abuser, Prince William can solve homelessness in one fell swoop by handing over Windsor Castle and Diana needs to be canonised to become St Diana the Wronged, there you go that will make everything right in your world.

This is an absolutely disgusting post. Women are not objects but people, even the Royals are people.

Ukisgaslit · 11/11/2024 23:24

If the Windsors were genuine in their charitable efforts Channel 4 wouldn’t have been to make the dispatches programme uncovering how they charge charities rent ( and the nhs)

Sincere concern for the disadvantaged would result in them paying all their taxes and throwing a few billion back to the people they’ve taken from
Do that and might believe their ‘charity ‘ is genuine

Ger1atricMillennial · 11/11/2024 23:23

Read up on it. Chas wanted Camilla back in the 70/s80s but it was against protocol to marry a woman like her. Do you have no idea how the royal family used to be? Its only in recent years they've relaxed so many of their protocols.

Did king George sixth have any affairs.
