So you missed out the context and changed what I meant, then present it as an absolute truth?

I think women's single sex spaces should be protected but the hatred and prejudice towards trans people is disgusting.

Right, so you think single sex spaces should be protected, as do I. So how is anyone (including myself as has been levied at me) showing hatred and prejudice towards trans people? Do you have specific examples? @thepariscrimefiles

Personally I'll never get over the irony of those people who have least time or sympathy for refugees being so wedded to the climate change denialism that will result in the worst migration crisis in human history, as the earth's warming creates huge areas around the equator that will be completely uninhabitable for humans within the next few decades

People aren’t moving because of climate change. They move to make money. If Europe was poor as shit, they’d not come at all.

Ridiculous comment. Where else are they going to go, somewhere else as badly effected by climate change?

Who wouldn't head for the best/least worst refuge?

If they weren't telling the rest of us how to vote/think/live, nobody would be as bothered by their lifestyle.

While the rest of us have been fretting about recycling and using paper straws, a new study shows that the super-wealthy have been polluting more than ever.

Despite being owned by just 0.003 per cent of the population, research shows that private jets of the rich make an 'outsized' contribution to climate change.

Scientists from Linnaeus University in Sweden found that private jets produced 15.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) in 2023, up 46 per cent from 2019.

The most frequent fliers each churned out 2,400 tonnes of emissions in 2023 – more than 500 times as much as the average individual.

Last year, ultra-rich jet owners – including the likes of pop star Taylor Swift and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos – flew for almost 26,000 hours over 4,301,561 individual flights.

However, the researchers argue that a sizeable amount of these journeys could have been made by car or other means of transport.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-14054663/Carbon-emissions-private-jets-increased.html

It’s not the super wealthy that use jets that are telling us what we need to do, it’s thousands of scientists, researching and over decades. It’s the extreme weather events that we are already seeing that are only going to get worse and send us towards tipping points, after which there will be nothing we can do.

Yes some super wealthy people spout out about the climate emergency yet continue to have the highest carbon out out of us all, but a few wealthy hypocrites doesn’t make the situation less grave than it is, not the very real need to change more robustly less urgent.

Recycling and not using plastic straws really is the absolute bare minimum.

The liberal elite don't practice what they preach. Everyone is sick of them.

That’s the language of division that Russia is gleefully peddling.

I think you might class me as being in that group.

I am a believer in human rights regardless of colour, gender, biological sex, religion, socio economic group. I want to see a fairer society for all. I’m appalled by the racism and misogyny of Trump and his campaign and would have been door knocking for Kamala had I been American.

Climate change is real, it’s here and it’s happening much more fiercely and more quickly than predicted. I do keep my carbon footprint low. I’m sure I could get it Lower but it’s on my mind and it organises my life choices.

I am probably seen as middle class but came from relative poverty. Charity shop clothes. Food the main expense and was minimal and cheap. Very aware that money was tight. Certainly no luxuries.

But I bet if we sat down and had a chat we would find lots in common. If you have children, then probably how much we love them and want the best for them. Gripes about spouse/partner/housemate not doing their fair share of the housework, sadness at loss of a loved one, health worries, love of certain foods etc. I’m sure we would find a common humanity and shared passions (unless you are a Russian bot of course).

We can have differences of opinion, of course, but let’s see the humanity in each other too and challenge this grouping of people into ‘woke vs gammon’ type cliches.

None of us are such simple human beings that we can be reduced to one word or seen as part of a group and that sums the whole of us up. We are all more complex than that.

You are both right.

Some people migrate to create a better life for themselves and their children or to make money to send home because they can’t see how it can be done in their own country.

Some people migrate because where they live has become uninhabitable due to climate change. This has been reported on in some regions of the world already and is predicted to increase dramatically as the climate crisis worsens.

Some people migrate to get away from suffering, fear and danger from other human beings. Some are in such danger they are classed as ‘seeking sanctuary’.

Some migrate because they feel the values in another country reflect their own better.

Some will migrate to be closer to family.

Some will have more than one of those reasons and there might be other reasons too.

Some will have brown skin, some will have white skin, most will very much add benefit to the society they join, some will be problematic. You can’t tell which will be which from skin colour. You can have good processes to vet people and cap numbers to maintain an healthy society and compassionate pathways for sanctuary seekers that don’t force them into dangerous journeys.

So the context to 'their older children must feel scared each time they get sick or have an accident, that they will be sent to Canada and given MAID' is that if a woman terminates a pregnancy due to foetal abnormalities which normally mean that the baby will not survive as their disabilities are incompatible with life, their other children live in fear that if they fall ill their parents will send them to Canada to be killed?

I can't believe that a normal person would even have these thoughts. I highly doubt that parents in this terrible situation tell their children that they are terminating the pregnancy. If the children are old enough to be aware of the pregnancy, they will just be told that the baby has died. And how many children do you know that even know about assisted dying? As you also must know, you can't 'send' other adults to Canada for assisted dying, never mind children.

Your extremist anti-abortion views are misleading and dangerous.

You also have not responded to my queries about your views on the 2nd amendment and gun control. If you support the 2nd amendment but think of yourself as 'pro-life' like the majority of Trump voters, you are a hypocrite.

You make no sense. If sexual assault isn't funny then why would you find a joke an about sexual assault funny?
I guess it's funny if it's referring to someone else eh?

Most of your comments have been deleted which probably tells you something. I didn't report them so clearly others also find your views abhorrent.

When you’ve all finished, this is what’s happening:

All the bullshit free money etc.. is going to get super real / stop.

Trump was allowed to win without interference because it is now time to allow the house of cards to fail.

It all hinged on Ukraine - what if we had won and Russia lost? Jeez, untold $trillions in leveraged natural resources would have allowed the US national debt to increase maybe 10x (to $350T).
The MIC/DoD/State/CIA/FBI/NSA apparatus unrivaled in power and control.

But, the unthinkable happened, the gas station with nukes developed missle weapons systems that defeated Western air supremacy doctrine. Oh, shit! Russia is winning and will win and we can’t stop them.

So now, plan B: the reset.

No, not the WEF version, the $dollar version where the USA loses the reserve and is consigned to a generation or two wandering the wilderness, our very own 90s as previously experienced by Russia.

Bringing Washington’s policy into line with the national interests of the United States will lead to the sobering up of Europe and the fall of anti-people treacherous regimes in Germany and France and the U.K.

Were seeing regimes fall already in parts of the EU, specifically Germany right now.

Climatic psychosis will subside, as will the gender mental illness as the systems can’t afford to pay for it anymore.

It’s going to get real.

Trump was allowed to win without interference because it is now time to allow the house of cards to fail.

You are saying that the peop who "allowed" the house of cards to fail have also engineered the situations in the UK, France and Germany? If so do you not think you should refer to them as "controlled colonies by treacherous regimes"?

Otherwise how would you justify those countries becoming treacherous regimes? Do you think that there are two power houses out there, one of which destroys G, F and the UK and the other destroys the US? And they are carving up the world? Or there are many power houses controlling things behind the scenes of different countries, fighting it out for unipolar supremacy?

Just wondering.

I used to just laugh off the unhinged comments about Trump and the conspiracy theories, but even some of the comments on this thread, if genuine, are scary. People actually believe these theories, and think Trump is actually going to do good, or support him in his nonsensical ramblings regardless.
That he has been voted in, again, as President, when he has only somehow managed to get worse since his last stint (now a proven criminal amongst other things mentioned many times), people STILL fawn over him. It's worrying.
Okay, I can still laugh at the "loony left/liberal" comments because it's a last resort "I don't have a reasonable response" comeback, but other parties, e.g. Democrats, Labour, other non-extreme parties really need to look at why these people are getting such support and combat it. What they can do, I don't know, but surely there is something.

What a beautifully balanced post, GotToLeave

I do get so tired of the division creating, conflicting extremes of "they're all just trying to batten on us" versus "they're all fleeing awful circumstances or wouldn't come"
People and their motivations are various, and while a sensible approach might aim to do more towards sorting the wheat from the chaff, unfortunately sense doesn't always come into it

You're funny! Of course you won't change your beliefs. You can't. You're stuck down a QAnon rabbit hole and Trump is your saviour. Your posts are all emotion and no facts.

It's reasonable to ask anti-abortion activists their views on gun control and policies that support pregnant women and mothers (e.g. maternity leave, maternity pay, affordable childcare, child benefit). People at the extreme end of the anti-abortion spectrum don't tend to support gun control or child friendly policies. It's all about punishing women.

Lol where do people even get Qanon information seeing as you know, what is it? You sound like you are projecting?

Do you spend your life making up the lives/beliefs of others? I feel quite sorry for you.

I provided facts and a source of a study you gave reasons why you wouldn't accept facts or use Google.

Why (retechoral) am I extreme on abortion by stating that you can abort away in a blue state?

I was under the impression Matt Walsh is the extreme end by wanting to have it banned all over the USA, he has more influence than me. It is quite normal to not want to abort yourself and leave those who do to get on with it.

Most white women aren't bothered about access to abortion in the USA and voted to retain the abortion laws as they are, except Florida. Most women are happy to accept a disabled baby or deal with the consequences of their behaviour, they have zero intention of ever aborting so don't need those laws.

You seem to require access to my brain and at the same time seem to alraedy know the answer and solution, that I am all about punishment of women, crack on love with the cognative dissonance. I would appreciate if you don't ask me more questions as you sound ultra rude to me.

You have said that the other children of women who terminate a pregnancy due to foetal abnormalities will be scared that their mother will send them to Canada to be murdered via their assisted dying programme if they get ill or have an accident. If that is not extreme, I don't know what is.

You have said that most women are happy to accept a disabled baby. That is not true. In the US, between 67% and 85% of people with a prenatal diagnosis of Downs Syndrome choose to terminate the pregnancy.

I am not being rude to you. I am just questioning the things you have said and disagreeing with many of them. That is the nature of this forum.
