If you're tired of 'gender mania' stop fucking obsessing over it. Transgender people make up about 0.5% of the population. If you weren't constantly trying to legislate them out of existence and going on gender critical rants about them you'd forget they exist. I suspect you've never met a transgender person. But you feel horribly oppressed by their existence and by the thought of them having any rights to live their life the way you would want to live yours - doing what's best for yourself and leaving other people the fuck alone.

Oh FFS! This BS. When you drill down and actually engage your brain you'll realise no one really cares about trans people. They care about men taking spaces and winning in women's sports aka fairness, they care about retaining their hard fought for single sex spaces, in prisons, in changing rooms, in rape crisis centres, all places MEN shouldn't be in beside them. It's MEN that are the problem, not trans. Does any gender critical person ever mention trans men? No, because they don't carry the same risk statistically, as they are female. If they, as male identifying, want to enter male sports and prisons crack on!

They care about not being gaslighted into believing something that isn't true - a trans woman standing in front of you isn't an actual woman no matter how loud people scream and shout. People are being hounded out of jobs for stating biological fact.

No one says they don't exist, they can wear whatever they want, call themselves whatever they want, but no one else has to go along with it if they don't want to, like any other ideology. And FYI - they currently have the same rights as anyone else! They don't get to have additional rights that oppress women seeing as you want to talk about oppression.

It's a men's rights movement all day long. And don't get me started on transing children. Rachel Levine anyone?

Edited

But you can think all this, and still mot vote Trump. You should recognise that a vote for Trump may look on the surface like it rolls the clock back to a "men are men women are women" world. But Trumpists are not going to stop those aspects of trans rights which are secretly driven by the men's rights movement. They don't care about women's spaces. They ARE the men's rights movement, they are a different part of it!

You have been sold down the river if you put gender critical thinking together with the rest of Trump's disgusting shit-filled package of values.

Well the fact that you are posting links to the Libs of Tiktok Twitter page as you obviously agree with their views, proves that it is a right-wing platform to spread the sort of anti-LGBTQ+ propaganda that you've been spouting all over this thread, along with your extremist views on abortion and assisted dying.

You think it's extreme that most of Americans voted against abortion being available, where they don't want it to be? You think it's extreme to speak about the reality of assistance suicide?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2024 20:21

This being a primarily U.K. website, very few of us here actually had to make the difficult choice of which of the two evils to vote for, I think @Tiedyesquad

I’m not a Trump supporter. He’s no good for women anywhere. I was addressing the Trans viewpoint. The dems are very much let men participate in women’s sports and this is clearly one aspect that gives/gave a hand to the Republicans. But yeah, Trump is vile.

I have high levels of contempt for men who push boundaries and go into spaces and take places in sports where they have no right to be.

I have high levels of contempt who think it’s ok to push this ideology into vulnerable children and young adults and put them on a pathway to making horrific irreversible medical decisions.

I have high levels of contempt for people like you who cheerlead this.

You haven’t addressed any of my points in any way that shows you understand even the basic of what I’m saying.

A female has more chance of being assaulted by a male. Females cannot tell which ones are the bad ones from the good ones. This risk doesn’t change because a man presents in such a way that he thinks makes him a woman, like a dress or make up. Single
sex provisions exists for a reason. It’s called safeguarding. A bit like statistically the chances if you being burgled is tiny, but people still lock their doors and have ring doorbells.

I already referenced a trans woman without mentioning criminality and/or mental illness. You literally have nothing but ‘you all hate trans people’. Address the sports, prisons and rape crisis centres questions then?

Again it’s men. MEN. Boundary pushing men.

Try harder.

The chances of women being assaulted by a man in a single sex space such as a women's toilet are much higher than the chances of being assaulted by a trans woman.

I have lived in two different large cities as an adult, socialising in pubs, night clubs and gay bars and I have never met a trans person, never mind being threatened or assaulted by one. I've had many narrow escapes from men.

I think women's single sex spaces should be protected but the hatred and prejudice towards trans people is disgusting. It feels like the McCarthyism of the 1950s with the 'reds under the beds' scare, completely out of proportion to the reality.

Apparently dying (suffocating whilst anestheia makes you unable to move) and for a diagnosis like diabetes, then having your organs harvested, is just a really nice gift to give others.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2024 20:26

The chances of women being assaulted by a man in a single sex space such as a women's toilet are much higher than the chances of being assaulted by a trans woman.

Statistic? It would be recorded that a "woman" did it. Males with a gender identity of "woman" pose the same amount of risk to women as any other male.

Tiedyesquad · 07/11/2024 20:26

Yeah I appreciate that @AccidentallyWesAnderson and I wasn't having a go at you.

I honestly don't know how to create caucuses and coalitions around baskets of values now, to allows voters to feel like they are in groups who are voting for a shared informed vision of the world. The fault lines seem to go through all traditional groupings.

Sometimes I think we have been given tne keys to a a globalised world with the power to inform global-level threats, but fundamentally we have not passed the driving test to drive it. We have the blinkered, overly personal, overly superstitious vision of medieval villagers. We don't see how complexity and risk works or understand how they apply to us.

I'm not calling Trump voters stupid. I think all of us simply don't have the thinking skills to vote in our own long term best interests in a world as complex as this one is.

"While the rest of us have been fretting about recycling and using paper straws, a new study shows that the super-wealthy have been polluting more than ever."

Climate change is an existential threat that requires international co-operation and really well thought through legislation.

Which nobody's going to get from a Trump administration.

The liberal elite don't practice what they preach. Everyone is sick of them.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2024 20:29

Again (can people read before falling over themselves to shout ‘you hate trans people,
its getting boring), how does one tell the difference between a man who wants to cause you harm, and a trans women who just wants to pee/get changed/whatever. You don't even have to dress any certain way, you just have to say ‘I am a woman’. Both are men. Women who don’t believe people have an inner gender identity would just see men. Women would really benefit from that insider knowledge, an inner crystal ball.

It’s not even about being attacked. Women have a right to be in such places without the presence of a biological male. End of.

I know plenty of lovely men, I still wouldn’t want them to go into female sex spaces if they woke up tomorrow and decided they were a woman despite being 99% sure of their intentions. Why? Because their mere presence may make women feel uncomfortable.

The comprehensions skills (or lack of) is frightening.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2024 20:32

I think women's single sex spaces should be protected

By this, do you mean you think the biologically male people that are considered "trans women" should be excluded from them? @thepariscrimefiles

You will not be able to supply evidence of this

I said that their older children that knew their parents aborted due to disability, may fear that their parents may (if they get sick/have an accident) find them also inconvenient and take up the offer of MAID in Canada.

🥱 again, I am sorry that you seem to have comprehension issues.

The level of hysteria in America by young people is in itself very worrying. Regardless of politics when Trump was president last time life in the USA still carried on. It will this time. Instead get into politics & change it. Crying on TikTok, shaving off your hair or declaring celibacy to punish men is seriously insane! This mass mental breakdown has been brought on by terrible MSM whipping very un resilient girls in particular into a frenzy of depression! It’s very self destructive ..

Tiedyesquad · 07/11/2024 20:34

I think the Democrats have dropped the ball. I am very fearful of the Starmer gov doing the same thing. There needs to be a much more radical look at how the whole system works and how to connect with voters and the political system is basically tired and old.

The thing I fear most is that lots of political folks think that the adversarial, abstract crap that is talked among themselves, about what people want, is a feature not a bug - they think they're doing all this stupid shit with Whips and Private Members Bills and blah blah and they think it leads to good policy and legislation and don't even realise how far off they are from real life.

So yeah I think the Democrats did that and also here we are doing that. I don't think either gov has "plans" that are strategic enough to take on the challenges we really face and describe them accurately to people.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2024 20:36

I agree with this, Tiedy.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2024 20:38

The failure of all the left leaning pundits to predict the result on both sides of the Atlantic was really stark. Twitter is not real life. Your bubble is not everyone's.

That's disgusting thing to say. It's actually very difficult to get an assisted death in Canada, anyway. That poster knows nothing about the process and is talking errant nonsense.

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 07/11/2024 20:44

How can anyone who is a woman vote Trump? He’s a misogynistic, rapist sexual abuser who thinks that any woman who has an abortion for any reason, should be punished. Can anyone think that a man would put up with being told what to do with their own body and if they for example had a vasectomy, being punished for it? Being arrested for manslaughter because you’re miscarrying?
A dark day for women in the states and I feel very sorry for them all.

I have comprehension issues as your posts don't make any sense. What relevance does that Sharron Davies quote have to my comment about your views on abortion and assisted dying?

This is a direct quote from your post at 18.15 yesterday in response to my query to you about who believes in full term abortion:

Their older children must feel scared each time they get sick or have an accident, that they will be sent to Canada and given MAID.
