I saw that thread and I also thought that it was bad. That thread would be extremely unusual on mumsnet. And i noiced it because of that. And I wouldn't associate with that poster either.

Most people wouldn't associate with someone who jokes about rape. I saw an article recently about sexual harassment. It was written by a man. He was trying to urge other men to stand up to the men that do it.

He said he was sitting in a bar and a man beside him nodded at the waitress and said

"look at her tits, I'd do seven years for her".

And the first man said what do you mean

And the second man said "seven years is the most youd get for rape in jail isn't it. I'd rape her for 7 years. I would definitely do it. Raping her would be worth it". And he laughed.

She was an incompetent/bad prosecutor and whilst VP has achieved absolutely nothing in 4 years. Just having those titles doesn’t actually mean she’s any good, she’s not.

To start - her record as the district attorney of San Fransisco (2004-2011). In 2010 Harris was accused of withholding information from a courtroom, violating the defendant's constitutional rights.
Harris championed legislation that would prosecute parents of children who were habitually truant in elementary school. Grades K-5. This disproportionately effected low income students and furthered their disadvantage.
In 2014, she spoke out against a federal judge in Orange County who ruled the the death penalty was unconstitutional. The ACLU and several Public Defender's in California condemned Harris for this and future actions of hers.
In her further career, these problems persisted.
She stood against propositions to make certain felonies become misdemeanors, laughed at the idea of legalizing Marijuana, and opposed legislation that would require state wide body cam wearing by officers.
She has a history of wrongful conviction cases which I wont get into all the details but please read the the articles for more information.
Harris has also an incredibly high incarceration rate of African American males for crimes such as smoking Marijuana. 1,500 to 2,000 convictions are the most common results I have seen. She has often dismissed cases regarding complaints against an officer, withehld evidence from a man on death row, and has continued to keep wrongfully convicted felons in jail.

Many people claim various things. He’s never been found criminally liable and it was locker room talk. I’ve heard worse in the locker rooms - especially in NYC. A lot of woman do, no doubt, consent as he was one of the most powerful men in NYC, he was the prize. So much so he screwed around even after Melania landed him. And I wonder how many of those women ‘accusing him’ were after a payout from a previously consensual activity?

Sure he could’ve done something wrong. But did he? I don’t know. None of us truly know. Not when there is much at stake and people were trying to discredit his run for president, during and then post. There is enough room for doubt.
