To me these just bring back memories of being ‘in’ 15 or so years ago, or in more recent years only being worn (a replica version) tucked into pyjama bottoms by people who find it acceptable to be in pyjamas outdoors.

My child has announced they are very much back in vogue and she would like some for Christmas. After I recoiled in horror, I thought I’d ask whether they actually are, and I’m just hideously outdated?

In case it’s not obvious, tongue is largely in cheek. But I do want to know whether they’re back in style!

Yep, we are about 2 years in now. Last year it was all about Minis. Fortunately I kept my 2013 pair!

They are, especially the really short ones with a platform sole.

Yeah I don't get it either 🤷‍♀️ they look like slippers to me too but this is what my daughter is desperate for for Christmas, and what her older cousins wear.

You might be able to get away with thr Micro mini but I would check with her as its probably the slipper ones she's after!

They’ve been back in the past 2/3 years, make sure you double check what ones she wants as the Ultra mini platforms, mini platform & anything platform are the main ones that are in, as are the mule type!

Ultra minis or the tasmans are in! I love mine 😂 like walking on clouds!

I have a pair after considering it for 12 months. Best buy ever! So comfy and my feet stay so warm. Honestly no regrets here even if my (non stylish!) colleagues take the mickey out of me. I hate having cold feet.

Yes definitely! But do not buy the ones we would have bought (the calf length ones - that I still have…) but go for the minis or ultra minis. I bought a pair of platform ultra mini dupes from Next recently which are good as I’m no longer fussed about spending that much on a label these days!

My husband bought me these recently after my previous pair became a bit worse for wear. I must be old because I wear them as house slippers. I do occasionally wear them outside though, to do things like let the dog out to the garden or take the bin out. He specifically bought me the thicker sole ones so I could do just that. I'll never wear them beyond our driveway though. I can't believe they're being worn as anything but slippers.

My dds between them have slippers , micro mini and mini , I still wear my classics 😂

I have the trainers they've just brought out on my Christmas wish list which my kids are finding hilarious -DS says they look like toddler shoes 🤣

I have two pairs of slimline Kirstin Ugg boots which I bought 5 years ago. They no longer produce them, probably because they weren't sloppy and don't look like traditional Uggs. They have lasted brilliantly with continuous use in the winter and yes, ibonly wear them outside and to work. The best buy I ever made. Would love to be able to find them again!

I have the Ultra minis in chestnut. Got them last year and they have been back in for a good few years. I wear them with black leggings and they look great.

The Tasman’s are slippers, I wouldn’t wear them outdoors.

(N.B I have never nor will ever wear pyjamas outside)

UGG’s have been back in for a couple of years now, but not the ‘boots’, just the slipper style. I have 2 pairs of Tasmans - I WFH a lot and find them great for that but don’t know how people walk around shopping etc in them, they really hurt my calves.

I wear the Tasmans out and about, wouldn’t have occurred to me that they could be slippers with the outside sole on them
