Reading it now its horrific. People saying we heard screams- and yet did nothing??? How does a person just think that no im not going to report this, most likely because they cant be bothered/ dont want to be involved. Scum of the earth the dad is. The stepmother ( and her sister!) going on and on about how they feel bad etc and dont do anything!

Those pictures, she is bruised. Why on earth didn't school intervene and continue to intervene.

There are policies and documents and training but nobody is doing anything. And following it up.
How many other Sara's are out there?

Diorchristian · 03/11/2024 08:52

Oh sorry I thought you meant you couldn't understand the background?

Well in the article it says her English was very poor, she was in a marriage with an abusive gambler who had family members in to control her. He had locked her in a room we don't know what else he did re violence.

They had an acrimonius break up, we don't know why he was awarded custody, the new partner /wife was unhelpful and argued with her then they moved and didn't give her the address.

She tried to get help in a system that's awarded this man her children and no one helped her. If she can't speak English or understand how to navigate the law and if she's already broken through this relationship... I can see why she struggled to fight? She also had a no income at that time and relied on him for money.

No income, money, English speaking, foreign country.

Up agaisnt a charming wealthy arrogant man who does speak English and does have money and knows how to play the system.

Its complicated. It's as I said visceral, the love for your children.
What a mess. a big mess.

Those people in that house knew what was going on alright.

Startinganew32 · 03/11/2024 09:15

She was let down by her mum as well. If she is excused because she was a victim of DA, then that would also apply to the step-mum but people are saying she is as culpable so why not the mum. It’s extremely rare for the family courts to transfer residence from the mother to the father - almost unheard of so I am betting she was far from perfect as a parent. Moving away doesn’t look good either - who on earth would do that if they thought their child was being abused? Just leave her with the abusers and get out of there?

@Startinganew32

Firstly because there was a many years long sustained campaign of violence against sara that we know step was witnessing and helping to cover up.

We have absolutely no evidence he was that extreme /bad when with Sara's mum and we don't know she had any idea of what was happening after he got custody.

Diorchristian · 03/11/2024 09:22

@Startinganew32

There is another thread on sara and there are many posts about violent aggressive men getting custody of children.

The family courts are closed and hard to report on and navigate.

What was the stuff about locking them in rooms then? Of course he would have been bad when with her, these things don’t just randomly start. It sounds like the mum just walked away.

also family courts aren’t closed - the judgements are anonmysed but it’s incorrect to say they are closed.

Diorchristian · 03/11/2024 09:44

@Startinganew32

We don't know that he had singled Sara out at that point.

Locking them all in a room is disgusting but we don't know that Sara was singled out.

The other thread is very interesting.

Diorchristian · 03/11/2024 08:21

@Peonies007

So allegedly he was already a violent gambler with his Polish wife locking them in rooms.
According to the polish cousin he had family and friends in the house to Marshall his polish wife.
He was already married to someone else in Pakistan.
The police had been called to the house once by the polish uncle.

I wonder if that's why his brother lived in his house to keep an eye on the new wife.
The new wife argued with Polish mum over seeing the children and she didn't see them after the ss didn't help mum to have access.

Indeed. There is more on polish websites/press if you search. I don't want to post it as it hasn't been discussed in court yet and might be in contempt of a court.
Let's say all this started way before current wife and it really wasn't nice living situation.

It's well documented that when wife brings up DV in custody hearings, courts quite often award the custody to person committing DV. It's all to do with a concept of 'mum is making it all up to stop father having access'
She also didn't speak english, probably didn't have lawyer etc.
It has been in press that she was stopped seeing the kids in 2019, then lockdown happened etc.

Why do we separate the mother and child victims of domestic abuse? | Louise Tickle

It is a grotesque indictment of the child protection system that women are blamed for failing their children, not supported, says freelance journalist Louise Tickle

Yeah OP I would have anonymously reported. I’ve called the police on domestic violence, I would have really kicked up a stink about a child. It’s horrific, poor child.

dinomirror · 01/11/2024 21:20

@Sugarspiceandeverythingnice so its me that gives being muslim a bad name, and not urfan sharif? Sickening. I know that its not all, as obviously i dont hit my own kids, but its often and its normalised.

Agree with you, I’m from another minority backgroud. The onus is on the victim to not make the perpetrators “look bad”. Not the bastards doing the actual abuse.

I wasn’t hit but there were rumours about other people. People knew. A lot of my friends, muslim, sikh and hindu got hit, a few of my muslim friends got beaten up by their brothers too. It’s a lie to say there isn’t domestic abuse in muslim families.

Any right minded human would have done.

I would have been on the phone 24/7

Sorry I don’t buy that. She argued with new wife - that happens all the time. She moved miles away (lived in Somerset) and left her children with an abuser and didn’t see them for years (apparently 4 years). I know I could never do that. There is more to this.

“When the couple separated in 2015, their two children initially lived with Olga but in 2019 the family court decided that they should live with their father. Olga still had equal rights to see the children but said that it became increasingly difficult to maintain this over time.“

Look at the mothers eyes in the old mail article, you can see all the whites, it is not often you see that phenomenon. There is a female tick tock surgeon in Florida who does childhood trans-surgery who has eyes like that.

Wtf? And do you mean the stepmum rather than the mum?

🥱 at the swearing dramatics at observations.

I was beaten like that too as a child 60 years ago. My mother did nothing to protect me she herself was not a victim of DV she was just self centered and pathetic.
They did nothing 60 years ago and are still doing nothing today.
How many years do they need to "learn lessons".

There is one photo of her with Sara (wrapped in a butterfly fabric) where she is obviously pulling a face and widening her eyes for comic effect (her forehead is wrinkled). Every other picture I have seen of her looks completely normal.

Let’s point and laugh at the appearance of a bereaved mother shall we?

Sunshineandrainbow · 05/11/2024 18:57

So he came home and Sara was dead?????

He attempted CPR.
Was told she was dead and not hope of reviving.

Then left the country!!!!
