Reeves’ Budget Dread

I’ve listened to the budget from Rachel Reeves today and can’t help a feeling of dread.
what she’s produced as her budget compared to the Labour Party manifesto and it’s like night and day.

Why do politicians treat us as idiots? Why can’t they tell the truth? And why don’t they appear to give a sh#t about their lack of honesty? Or AIBU?

Yes I must say the sheer ignorant envy highlighted by the posts about the budget have made me long for the One Nation Conservatives. I'd definitely vote that way if it was ever an option.

Non doms wont really be affected, they'll just spend more time in their other homes in other countries to avoid the taxes ... they normally are very tax astute. They will also spend millions less in Britain whilst they are away.

Said in the news this morning that Reeves is shielding the public sector from the NI rise and it will be a private sector only increase. I assume this means schools will not be affected?

There's to be a rebate for public sector employers. So schools and NHS won't be affected by the increase.

The optics aren't great are they?
