Positing on aibu in hopes to get more of a response .
my 1 year old has her 12 month vaccines on Wednesday, I wasn’t overthinking it until I seen TikTok’s of reactions to the vaccine , then all the comments saying how after the vaccine their child was having seizures, gave them health issues etc etc and how it is “literal poison” and that “they don’t make money if you’re not poorly, the vaccines are poison” also multiple stated they’ve never vaccinated their kids and they’re really healthy and never sick compared to those who have been vaccinated . My one year old is up to date with hers and now I’m absolutely dreading these one as obviously there’s 2 new ones she’s never had , am I massively overthinking this? I knowwww if she doesn’t get vaccinated she can get really sick, but then people telling me that it’s going to cause health issues, seizures, possibly Sid’s ? Is making me too scared to do it , I’m wondering if anyone has any experiences, and in hopes to reassure me that I’m doing the right thing by getting her vaccinated . I don’t want anything bad to happen to her I’m so scared . (Before anyone asks , yes I have bad anxiety as you’ll tell from my other threads lol) I don’t wanna pass it on to my daughter I just wanna do the right thing , thanks in advance

I have a friend that won't drink tap water, thinks it's poison. Won't have coffee in shops etc due to using tap water, carries a flask of filtered water around everywhere and only drinks that. Came to my house and brought the big water filter.
Won't use fluoride toothpaste (orders special toothpaste). Adamant i'm going to have health consequence's from the covid vaccine as apparently it's killing people and it's all coming out now. Chem trails in the sky, not lines from aeroplanes, birds are robots made by the government to spy and not real. The list goes on. Don't be one of those people.
Look up the guy in the iron lung who contracted polio.
we're lucky to have vaccines offered.

ZOMBIE THREAD

I know, but it's worth resurrecting to educate the idiots and conspiracy theorists.

A significant driver behind the dissemination of vaccine misinformation is financial gain. A prominent segment of the anti-vaccine movement is closely linked to the alternative health and "wellness" industry. Key figures and organisations often promote and sell products such as dietary supplements, essential oils, and homeopathic remedies, as "natural" and "safer" alternatives to vaccines. By casting doubt on the safety and efficacy of vaccines, they create a market for their own unregulated and scientifically unproven products. This business model thrives on creating a narrative of "us versus them," pitting a supposedly corrupt medical establishment and "Big Pharma" against a small group of "truth-tellers" who hold the secret to true health. The financial success of these individuals and companies is directly tied to the public's distrust of conventional medicine.

Credible highly intelligent people go into scientific and medical professions and spend many years training. Scientists do actual research into vaccines, doctors and nurses see actual reactions to vaccines. They all choose to vaccinate their own children. If you aren't smart enough to read research for yourself, at least trust those who are able to.

When kids die of measles and are made infertile from mumps, it affects the parents rather than the charlatans who sold them an alternative idea. Do you really think it's a coincidence that measles death rates dropped so dramatically with the introduction of vaccines? Maybe your child will be OK, it was only about 120 kids who died each year from measles before vaccines (smaller population though obviously), others went deaf for brain damage etc. Now tell me, how will you look at yourself if you child is one that is not ok?

im reading comments from people who have done research, I’m not saying they’re right or wrong , I’m just worried cause of my own anxiety. I’m 23!

But you don’t know if they’ve done research or not! I could type up a paragraph using Chat GPT and make myself sound like the smartest person going.

This is an excellent post. The pipeline from being quite health conscious and additive adverse, to full blown anti vax is fascinating.

Perhaps balance your TikTok with online content of the severe damage that those diseases cause, including death. The outbreak in Texas might show how deadly measles is for instance. Please speak to your GP.

Good work. Always useful info for the next person who has a concern.

I typed India plane crash into Tiktok the other day and was genuinely shocked at the fake posts / AI. Why not search for posts about the diseases that can be caused by not taking vaccinations.
