Oops one of the YABU was an accidental click from me moving the screen 🤦‍♀️. YA most definitely NBU. It's convenient he handed himself in the day before the march knowing he would be safely out of the way and would help to stir up his supporters.

@1dayatatime you are correct there are 9 million people unemployed but just as @Notonthestairs has shown there are reasons why some of these people are unemployed.

Also some people have just also chosen not to work. They believe that being a carer, cleaner or being in the workforce is something they dont want to do for whatever reasons.

Another thing we have to be honest they closed a lot of factories, manual jobs, then after this it was the seaside towns across the country except for places like Cornwall and Brighton.

Currently we now have high streets closing down and towns closing down shops because of high rent prices, therefore no jobs and infrastructure that encourages people to look for employment. Even recently it was discovered about nightclubs are shutting down in their thousands per month. These are people’s jobs that are being lost.

There is a shortage for simple jobs as well and the government has not come up with a concrete plan to create new jobs.

Maybe they’ll knock some sense into Chris Kaba supporters

You want to see more violence?
WTF is wrong with you?🤯

Looks like there are 3 big protests the U.K. Patriots one , Palestine and Chris Kaba … the numbers at the U.K. one are huge! Something has to give society is broken and the outlook is grim for a whole host of reasons…

The anti- racism march is also huge. Heard reports that there were more anti-racists than UK "patriots". Not sure if it's true but very high numbers nonetheless.

And I wouldn't say there are three marches as you describe them- there may well be those protesting about Chris Kaba and Palestine, but the main opposition to the Tommy Robinson protest are antiracism groups.

I genuinely think that there is a supply and demand imbalance problem with racism in the UK.

In that the vast vast majority of people in the UK are not racist and judge people on the content of their character and actions and not the colour of their skin.

However there are many people who want to believe that racism is endemic across the UK or to claim that when a person is called to account for their wrongful actions then this is because of the colour of their skin and not their wrongful actions.

The recent coverage of the shooting of Chris Kabba is a good example of this. Where he was portrayed as an innocent aspiring musician gunned down by racist police officers.

In reality he was a member of one of London’s most dangerous criminal gangs and was directly linked to two shootings in the six days before he was shot dead by police.
He was said to have shot a rival in the legs at a nightclub six days before he died in September 2022, and would have stood trial for attempted murder had he survived.
He was also found to have gunshot residue on his sleeve and a balaclava in his pocket on the night he was killed by a police marksman, which it was suggested was evidence he had been involved in a second shooting the previous night. He had previous convictions for possession of weapons, and the Audi that he was driving when he was killed was linked to three previous firearms incidents in five months.

In reality he was a member of one of London’s most dangerous criminal gangs and was directly linked to two shootings in the six days before he was shot dead by police.

I'm no fan of Kaba, but would point out the armed officer who killed him didn't know any of that at the time.

Just to bore everyone here that Mr. Yaxley-Lennon has been arrested under:
Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Specifically, paragraphs 2 and 5,
which say, inter alia that:

2. An examining officer may question a person to whom this paragraph
applies[...]

(which means someone entering the UK at a port or airport, as per the rest
of the paragraph which I'm not quoting as it's easily looked up)

and

5. A person who is questioned under paragraph 2 or 3 must
(a) give the examining officer any information in his possession
which
the officer requests

because he has claimed to have evidence of child abuse on his phone which he is refusing to unlock for the police.

Sorry my mistake, I don’t know why I thought it said thousands, it’s 10 per month in the UK but still the point still stands these are people jobs we are loosing. Especially in our high street, that’s a lot of money lost in the local economy as well!

I'm not jumping down your throat. I was simply saying what I saw reported and also said I don't know if it's true or not. Hope that's OK.

I've just read a report that there were around 15k "Patriots" (or as i would say, far right protestors) and 25k to 30k antiracism protesters. Again, I don't know how accurate these figures are but I thought everyone would like to know.

Those involved in the Manchester Airport incident are on police bail. A file of evidence was passed to CPS in September and awaits a decision.

CPS activists too busy deciding to try an innocent armed metropolitan police officer surely? They’ll kick that file down the proverbial road.

Well TfL has switched off the web cams in the area to ensure the correct number is never reported. Gotta love Khan.

It'd be funny if it wasn't so serious, how people lap any old shit up , it's how misinformation spreads and riots/incitement starts.

It is astounding - and a tad worrying - how uncritical people are when it comes to numbers. Although it certainly explains why the UKs productivity is so pisspoor.

Well, the world idiot shortage is certainly over; in fact, there's now a glut.
