Did you see the story in the news that a man in Australia has said that he is Prince Charles 's and Camilla's lovechild. Apparently security are watching him as he said that he is going to try to go and see them

This is lighthearted, so don't come at me. It's just in the news today, and was wondering what are your thoughts?

Oh dear. Just googled. He looks more like Nigel Farage to me.

Imagine doing a dna test thinking you were about to become heir to the British throne but actually ended up second in command at reform.

MeAgainAndAgain · 18/10/2024 23:52

There’s a guy who has done lots of photos of ‘twin’ people who share no genetics at all.

And I’ve just googled and read that you can have shared DNA (if that’s the right phrasing?) with people who are your 7 times grandparents. Beyond that it’s not so meaningful to find out common ancestors due to the number of people involved. I feel like I’ve not explained that very well but can’t find a better way.

BUT with the aristocracy their ancestors are very well recorded. So if he did a DNA test I bet there would be something relevant to find if it’s true.

But it seems like he’s not done one 🤷‍♀️.

I think a DNA test would have been done if he was the real thing!

Even if Charles and Camilla had met, doesn’t mean they had a relationship then.

This story has been around for yonks.

TheSnugHare · 19/10/2024 00:13

I think it’s genuine cos when he smiles he looks like the spitting image of Charles and also cos of this article https://amp.marca.com/en/lifestyle/uk-news/2022/09/18/6327064446163fe6708b459f.html
but it’s not proper to have a love child and marry the queen and lie about it for years and years so they will never admit it

Camilla's baby bump could prove claims of alleged love-child

Simon Dorante-Day claims that he is the love-child of King Charles III and Camilla, and a new photo has emerged of the Queen consort which could add validity to his claims.

I mean, in my opinion she doesn't have a bump in that photo. My tummy's bigger than that.

News reports often say that Charles and Camilla met when they were in their twenties,

But the archbishop of Canterbury said that Camilla told him that she met Charles whem they were teenagers.

Even when I was 7 stone and a fart, my tummy was bigger than that at certain times of the month.

If your tummy is bigger then your frame probably is too reports say there were no photos of Camilla around the time she would have been heavily pregnant everything points to this man being their love child but it doesn’t suit them to admit it I think the man needs counselling either way

Applemayjune · 19/10/2024 00:20

It's no bump that's for sure

OP posts:
Applemayjune · 19/10/2024 00:21

Surely if c and c had a baby, they wouldn't just give it to a couple who's gran worked for the queen.

Surely they would have ensured more secrecy.

OP posts:
Applemayjune · 19/10/2024 00:21

Like the queen would hardly have gone up to her staff member and said

"Charles is expecting a baby , do you know any couple that wants it"

Much more feasible. The idea that they’d hand him over to a willy nilly couple working at the palace is completely unrealistic due to the risk of the secret getting out, as has been proven here.

Applemayjune · 19/10/2024 00:28

I do think that c and c met as teens though

I hate that term lovechild.
Yuck.
Are children conceived in marriage not love children - conceived by those who love each other ( usually ) ?

ilovesooty · 19/10/2024 00:30

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 18/10/2024 23:34

Henry Fitzroy, acknowledged son of Henry VIII and Elizabeth Blount.

Rumour has always held that Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne Boleyn, was also Henry VIII's mistress and that her elder two children were Henry VIII's, not her husband's.

It's a good thing probably that Mumsnet didn't exist then.

I thought love child stopped being used decades ago, it’s a ridiculous term.

Who, other than PH, is describing Camilla as 'not that nice'? I thought her thing was that she had lots of proper friends and that's why she can cope with all the crap that being in a relationship with the heir/ monarch entails. Anyway, I feel really sorry for this man and I hope that one day he gets the chance to process his adoption trauma and the special origin fantasies that he's still having even as he approaches 60 years old.

PH said that Camilla leaked stories to the press about him

It's ok if you don't want to answer the question, of course.

What do you mean who else other than PH describes Camilla as not nice. She was hugely unpopular.

Do you not remember how unpopular she was with the public.

OP posts:
Applemayjune · 19/10/2024 00:39

Camilla was so unpopular that they reportedly hired a PR guru to improve her image.

From an article online:

"Charles and Camilla reportedly tapped PR guru Mark Bolland to help rehabilitate her image. Bolland reportedly built relationships with the British press to supply information that would cast Charles and Camilla in a favorable light"

That still doesn't answer the question but I can see that it's a stretch for you on all sorts of levels so I will leave you to enjoy your thread X
