Did you see the story in the news that a man in Australia has said that he is Prince Charles 's and Camilla's lovechild. Apparently security are watching him as he said that he is going to try to go and see them

This is lighthearted, so don't come at me. It's just in the news today, and was wondering what are your thoughts?

Princess Delphine as is now

Fair play to her for not backing down, and for fighting the Belgian king through the courts.

This is old news, the man is delusional.I don’t think he looks like the Royal Family at all.

The royals are disgusting entitled people. Nothing would surprise me. Look at Andrew.

Do we have too?
I'd rather not.

SisterAgatha · 18/10/2024 23:19

Oh dear. Just googled. He looks more like Nigel Farage to me.

Applemayjune · 18/10/2024 23:21

To clarify I didn't mean "lighthearted" in my post to mean that it's funny or humorous

I meant that this Is lighthearted in that i saw it on the news, it's just a topic for discussion, dont seriously believe it, i just wat to discuss it,royal fans don't attack me. Some of the royalists can get very aggressive.

When have the royals done that before?

It's interesting to see that the lovechild revealed herself in the Belgian royal family, and it didn't blow up the Belgian royal family.

They even gave her titles

His claims have been soundly researched and soundly debunked. It's all on Reddit if you want to have a look. He has a history of becoming estranged from people, to the point neither his adoptive nor birth mothers want anything to do with him. Extended families the same. He's good at blaming others and burning bridges.
I did note he had a serious fall headfirst onto concrete as an 8YO and some days stay in hospital, it was that serious.

Applemayjune · 18/10/2024 23:29

It doesn't sound likely.

Hopefully he doesn't confront them in Australia

That would be embarrassing for everyone

Australia here. He has been going on about this for years.
Asking for DNA tests.
He is mad. .

When have the royals done that before?

Henry Fitzroy, acknowledged son of Henry VIII and Elizabeth Blount.

Rumour has always held that Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne Boleyn, was also Henry VIII's mistress and that her elder two children were Henry VIII's, not her husband's.

Wishfulthinking1977 · 18/10/2024 23:34

Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't he on GMTV or something a few years ago via zoom and they had a royal aide or someone who knew all about it on debating with him and then his wife came into view and started slating everyone and using racist terms and they had to shut it down and apologise?

SisterAgatha · 18/10/2024 23:34

Applemayjune · 18/10/2024 23:26

When have the royals done that before?

They called the child Fitz-surname and they grew up somewhere hidden in the palace usually, didn’t they?

The whole of Aberdeen was convinced my dad was royalty as he was the double of Prince Andrew, back when that was something to aspire to. But he's actually the son of a Peterhead fish merchant. Lookie likey isn't geney sharey, thank goodness.

jinx! Bit yours is more nuanced! There are Fitzclarence and Fitzroy also

It's been done plenty of times. Often the child has Fitzroy in their name, which is code for bastard of the royal line. Some mothers are already married at conception and some are married off quickly once found to be pregnant. Ann Boleyn's sister was one but there have been others.

Whymeee · 18/10/2024 23:42

He looks nothing like Charles. Young he resembles Camilla a bit, but only a bit. A child normally has nose of one of the parents and you can see it clearly in the RF and he's not one of them.

PickAChew · 18/10/2024 23:45

Sethera · 18/10/2024 22:21

Oh, he's popped up again. He's 58 - Charles and Camilla hadn't even met when he was born. 🙄

Charles would have been 17!
