Prince Charles's alleged lovechild

Did you see the story in the news that a man in Australia has said that he is Prince Charles 's and Camilla's lovechild. Apparently security are watching him as he said that he is going to try to go and see them

This is lighthearted, so don't come at me. It's just in the news today, and was wondering what are your thoughts?

If your parents marry after you’re born you have to be re-registered as you are then legitimised after the fact.

Who does the reregistering, do the parents have to agree to be a part of it?

Let’s say he is their son, he wouldn’t be king but like the Belgian family he’d be acknowledged. He’s nearly 60 with zero experience, training or knowledge in how to be a monarch. It might happen in a movie but I couldn’t see it being allowed in real life.

Well to be fair you’re not at the top aristocratic levels where what is deemed attractive can be very different to the rest of us. He loved her earthy sense of humour and they would have had a lot of common ground mixing with the aristo types of people that we would have very little in common with or be to our taste (I’m assuming you’re not an aristo lol).

In other words, us prolls are too common to appreciate her virtues? 😃

I am sensing that this may just be a thread made up to slip in nasty comments about the King and Queen.

You may not see what he saw in Camilla. She clearly was attractive to him and that is all that matters. And frankly it is nothing to do with any of us who others choose to be attracted to or love in this world.

If you would care to post an image of yourself we could critique you too. We could say that we cannot see what people see in you. But that would be cruel and nasty and unfair and unwarranted. Don't you think?

Quite.

Who gives a flying one whether a completely random person can see what a bloke sees in his wife?

I’m pretty staunchly indifferent to the Royal Family, to the point of being anti the entire outdated institution, but I really don’t think anyone has any business being judgementally sniffy about who any of them choose to love.

CatchOnToYersel · 18/10/2024 23:09

All right Camilla, calm down.

😂

I know - so humorous. And witty. And original.

I get the need for some to feel the need to discuss the story but why have a pointed dig at someone’s personality or looks?

As for the claims of the Australian chap? At best it is making fun of someone who isn’t well or who has believed lies he has been told through his life.

That’s a shame.

All of it is a shame.

The aristos are a different breed aren’t they lol.

Maybe the grandmother just said it, maybe he was an annoying granchild. Must admit, if I had a particularly annoying relative, I might be tempted to tell them any old shit on my death bed then laugh at my stirring from the afterlife.

Calm down this is just a chat forum for opinions. Like everyone I'm entitled to my opinion though, right.

And my opinion is a common opinion. A lot of people have at some point questioned, why charles, who could have anyone in the world, got with Camilla.

She is commonly described as ugly, a chain smoker and not that nice.

But as people pointed out on here, what us commoners see as attractive, is not what the aristocrats see as attractive

Haha

We really could say any old shit on our death bed for dramatic effect couldn't we

The royals are disgusting entitled people. Nothing would surprise me. Look at Andrew.

And he has 9 kids; there goes the small working RF concept.

Well it is clear that any old shit is rearing its head on this thread. Nasty ‘shit’ too by the look of it.

I stand by my point.

A thread to be nasty.

How nice.

murasaki · 18/10/2024 23:14

Didn't the royal family refuse to do a dna test re the alleged princes in the tower bones? Although given the family dilution it would be tenuous at best as you really need mitochondrial dna so through the maternal line given the age of them. They did that with a Canadian bloke and Richard the Third as he was descended from the maternal line. Philip did do one re the Romanovs in similar circumstances.

This guy is as mad as a fish so they are ignoring him.

I'm allowed to have an opinion on Camilla. You don't run mumsnet

He’s got a large following. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone try’s to get some ‘abandoned’ DNA now they are in the country. Wouldn’t be hard, just need to get someone working at a restaurant they are eating at to save a glass they drank from or something. Or a maid in the hotel they are staying in to pick up some hair or something.

Offtheroof · 18/10/2024 23:16

"He looks like a typical middle aged Crocodile Dundee Ausi to me - the type straight out of Kath and Kim."
To be fair that's exactly what Camilla looks like!@Screamingabdabz 😂😂

Smartiesoncake553 · 18/10/2024 22:59

Don’t know anything about this alleged case with Charles but interestingly enough, something very similar has happened within the Belgian royal family.

The previous king who has abdicated now in favour of his son, had a love child with his mistress, and he denied the child’s existence for years. And it was the child herself, once an adult, who forced the ex king through the courts to take a DNA test and it turned out that she was indeed his child!

Since then she has appeared in photos with the royal family and won the right to be treated the same as the other royal children and called Princess. Quite right too!

Princess Delphine as is now

Applemayjune · 18/10/2024 23:17

He said he's going to go and see them in Australia.

Do you think he will?

Yes he seems a bit like an anchorless boat drifting in the water. I wonder if true he’s just asking for acknowledgment. He’d be pretty foolish to be going after the throne.
