To feel shaken by Liam Paynes death and wonder how we keep our kids safe

Just that really, I'm a bit old to be a 1D fan and didn't know a huge amount about Liam Payne apart from him being part of one of the worlds most famous boy bands and having a son with Cheryl Cole but I feel very shocked and upset by his death. He was clearly a very troubled man, which I imagine came from being shot to fame at such a young age. Obviously not every child has that pressure but I feel incredibly worried for my own children. How do we keep our children safe and on the right track in a world that seems to have so so many pressures for them

No the coverage equals the demand he was a world famous pop star dying young in tragic circumstances
You don't have to be a 1 direction fan to feel up and sympathy
Shakespearean tragedy comes to mind
Music industry not protecting young proteges
Hotels not fulfilling responsibility toward patrons on their property with ambulance when they have had a fit in public space rather than send him away alone.
Top legal case will surely be imminent
We live in a world of social media important to the music industry promotion package making fans feel close to the stars as friends and leaving the stars with 24 hour pressure and precious little privacy.
Heartbreaking and empathy towards the parents/family/son/friends and fans of this highly talented young man.

Liams death has really made me sad. I was never a 1D fan, i was too old and never really followed them but seeing everything about him recently, i just wonder if he felt lost, depressed and lonely? These are just my thoughts. His record company had cancelled him, his PR had stopped working with him. He had issues with the ex fiance which have recently resulted in her getting legal action (idk what thats all about). The drug dealers are always ready to swoop in. i feel so sad for Cheryl and little Bear. Just thinking about how the hell you break news like that to a 7 year old and everyone at school etc will be talking about it. Idk its changed the little lads life forever 😞

i always think of this song when celebrities seem to struggle. I imagine all the so called “friends” disappear when the going gets tough/money runs out

The drug dealers are always ready to swoop in.

No, he likely called the dealers or asked someone else to source drugs for him. His choice and he probably specified exactly what he wanted. The rich famous celebrity lifestyle normalises drug use, I highly doubt any dealer extensively read all the gossip and recent events in his life, 'swooped' in by banging on his door forcing him to take drugs. It also sounds like he was doing drugs years before any of this.

I don't know anything about him, from PP have said, yes he had a really crap time, but he is the one that chose to take drugs.

It's no different from anyone else who is going through a bad time and either having a weekend of binge drinking, eating crap food, isolating themselves or treating themselves to a pamper session. We all have bad days and we all have a choice in how we deal with them.

you are entitled to an opinion but an opinion is all it is.

Your post is all hear say and what you "think" happened which is uncalled for at a time people are mourning.

He is a human being with family and friends and fans.

You may also know that toxicology official report yesterday stated there was a "trace" of cocaine/anti depressant/alcohol not the cocktail made up by the media weeks ago.

None of us are doctors to know but as he had been "clean" for a long time taking very little may have had an adverse effect.

We know nothing of the facts but prosecutors don t take proceedings without evidence.

legally and factually the hotel is liable for the care of their guests on the premises

Be kind
