To think that releasing crickets at a gay rights conference, specifically to shut them down, should be considered a homophobic hate crime? Somehow these people are crowdfunding to do it AGAIN

The optics of having to fumigate a hall after gay people used it to speak about their rights being eroded should not be lost on anyone.

This is CLERLY A HATE CRIME - yet it's being reported as trans rights activists, not anti gay hate mongers, I can't really understand why not

How would you know if there were men in your women + males who claim to be women toilets, PiggleToes? What is the way that you tell in your everyday life? You didn't say.

Gosh let me have a stab, sex realism, women’s rights feminism, something like that?

I find it very easy to distinguish between men and women in real life ; (other than the odd gender non conforming person where it’s less immediately obvious). I don’t worry about men in womens toilets because they don’t go in there. I don’t see them in there. I have occasionally seen a male cleaner.

But there are sooo many threads about issues related to women’s rights - reproductive rights, family court issues, relationship stuff, so many many things. She never posts on any of them; never a single topic other than trans stuff.

Why are my posts being deleted? I don’t understand? So now I’m not allowed to ask another user as to why she only posts on one single topic?

I'm guessing you've fallen foul of the "no personal attacks" rule.

I've been sexually assaulted by a man a women's toilet, so I assure you they do go "in there".
Whether you've seen them or not! How self-centred!
That's why I don't want them "in there". For me, and for all women and girls.

How do you distinguish between a man and a trans woman?

If they are out and presenting as a woman, there’s no problem

So you literally are judging them according to how well they perform stereotypical femininity then?

Isn't that what you were accusing gender critical women of doing?

@PiggleToes no that is talking, besides which people name change all the time to hop between subjects, so you failed the sleuthing test.

Abhannmor · 18/10/2024 18:34

I'd take someone called Molotovsnexttime very seriously. They sound quite unhinged and fanatic. You wonder what would happen to eg , a supporter of Palestine using that moniker....

How do you know if they're presenting as a woman? Are you basing this on clothes, hairstyle, make up, head tilt?

DustyAmuseAlien · 18/10/2024 18:35

PiggleToes · 18/10/2024 18:08

No there are no unisex ones .

two sets of women. One trans exclusionary ; one inclusive,

That would be fine by me, so long as they are clearly labelled as such

Why should she not be allowed to only be interested in one topic?

There are lots of people who only post about one topic.

Are you saying only transwomen who 'pass' or attempt to pass are real transwomen? Because that's extremely transphobic.

How embarrassing for you.

But I’m not policing rhe toilet: it is for women and trans women, I’m not worried men will entre

I feel like I should be allowed to question why she is only interested in this one topic.

Why?

It is concerning that there is an agenda there.

I see a poster with an agenda and it's not Helleofabore.

Yeah, we can all tell men (male people) from women (female people) most of the time.

What I asked is - how can you tell who is a man - as opposed to a male who claims to be a woman. If two male people came into the all-genders loo, how would you know which, if any, was a man?
What are the observable differences between a male who claims to be a woman and a male who does not?

Helleofabore · 18/10/2024 18:42

This is where language is important.

"But I’m not policing rhe toilet: it is for women and trans women, I’m not worried men will entre (sic)"

Male people = those without a gender identity and those with a gender identity.

Female single sex spaces are not for 'women'. They are for female people. Not for male people. Using unclear language removes the facts that are pertinent to clear communication.

It is perfectly ok for you to use this language. What is not ok, is for any person to shame or demonise people who choose to use precise and accurate language. And that includes pronouns too.
