Abusive cleaner took pics of my home

My lovely self employed cleaner went back to her own country. New cleaner started this week. House is tidy but dirty floor and surfaces, needs a good vacuum/mop/wiping up. We hire 4 hours a week for a deep clean of the downstairs(kitchen dining living room)/hallway and stairs. Standard 3 bed house in London with kitchen extension, takes me 2 hours to do but pay for 4 so the job gets done properly.

New cleaner came and in 4 hours couldn't clean what we asked which is just vacuum/mop and wipe down all surfaces. Had to ask her to clean individual window seals as she didn't and when she left I noticed the living room window seal wasnt cleaned. She broke my glass chopping board and didn't say anything and left chemicals in the oven which I told her not to clean. Last cleaner was able to wipe the skirting boards and didn't leave a spec of dirt in corners, this cleaner left many areas dirty.

I said nothing and thought I won't hire again. The company messaged me why I don't want to hire again and I said I wasn't happy with the clean nothing else.

I then get very abusive messages and pictures of my floor being dirty saying my house is disgusting. Didn't get to respond before I was blocked by the company.

AIBU? I feel completely violated and want to complain some how. She took photos of my home without permission.

Don't even know what to do now and feel uncomfortable using another cleaner. Husband says I'm over reacting :( am I?

FYI I've added a photo of my home before the cleaner came. Floors are clearly dirty but the kitchen is tidy/needs wipe down.

why did you take a photo right before the clean?

Why would the company contact you first and then block you… unless they really did believe it was ghastly

Your house looks immaculate from the counter level upwards lol. I seriously doubt she even needed close to 4 hours to clean your home. She sounds very unprofessional and lazy.

I wouldn't use that company again and try to get a recommendation instead.

I asked my hubby to take a pic before the cleaner came, we have 6 people living in this house (intergenerational) and wanted to make sure it was tidy before she came as I wasn't home

Very messy floor lol please don't judge 😬. It's a female company owner that has many cleaners under her that she sends out. It wasn't the cleaner messaging me but the female company owner.

Christ if that's just the kitchen floor, I can't imagine what else she had to deal with.

It is, that's why we have a cleaner. 6 people and kids, a dog and 3 cats the floors get messy, this is more messy than usual but that why we hire a cleaner 🤷‍♀️

She said your house was disgusting, not just the floor. So you’re clearly all leaving it filthy and waiting for the cleaner. Clean up after yourselves, there is no excuse. That is simply unacceptable. No wonder they blocked you.

I do when I can but I have family members that don't hence why I hire a cleaner. I'm the only one who cleans in this household :(

I think if you want a 'deep clean' you have to be very specific snd write the details down as cleaners are not mind-readers - eg. She might have thought she was going above and beyond doing the oven, when in fact, you didn't want this. Also, sorry, I would sweep that floor up before the cleaner came. Sounds like miscommunication mainly. But rude of her to post on SM about your house!

If your floors were spotless you wouldn’t need a cleaner! What do they expect? That you clean before they come?

Why can't you just sweep the floor each evening. It can't be left like that until a cleaner comes in once a week. That's more important than a few window seals or do you mean cills.

Do you clean at all in between cleaner visits?
