Which celebrities/public figures give you the creeps?

For me the biggest one is Jacob Rees Mogg. He puts the fear of God in me. He reminds me of some villain in a horror film. If I see him on TV or a picture of him I actually get the chills.

I also find a really unsettling energy about Louis Walsh and David Walliams.

What is this thread? See how much utterly subjective mud people can sling and if any will stick?

Yeuk.

I think light-heartedly mentioning celebrities whose PR/image clearly isn't quite working is fine.

Extrapolating from there to suggest they're sex-offenders is crossing a line though!

PreciousMahoney · 15/10/2024 09:01

The thing that tickles me is that I've seen every celeb under the sun posted here, there's someone for everyone and obviously someone not for everyone.

Not suggesting anything nefarious but Sam Smith turns me

As does Philip Scofield

Sadly i fancied Huw Edwards so that shows how good my radar is🤐

CurlewKate · 15/10/2024 09:17

I do think some people forget what actors do for a living, too!

CurlewKate · 15/10/2024 10:03

It's also quite funny that some people think they are being incredibly perceptive when they say they think Donald Trump is a bit creepy..🤣

PassingStranger · 15/10/2024 10:18

Johnathan Ross.🙄

SquirrelSoShiny · 15/10/2024 10:22

Sarah2891 · 12/10/2024 17:35

David Walliams was the first one that I thought of too.

Same! Honestly he makes my flesh creep I can't understand his popularity.

Totally agree. If folks are naming an actor, then the character/part they played, to me that simply shows how good, immersed and effective they were in the part. BAFTA, Oscar territory🤷‍♀️

It’s the power pissed and utter wasters that I worry about. Trump, Putin, Netenyahu, little fat git from North Korea. I won’t list the wasters, as I might upset the thread.

BloodyHellBob · 15/10/2024 11:36

@CoffeeCantata oh maybe it is the old Herman Munster vibes I get from him! He does seem like a nice bloke but I just don't like watching him in anything.

Johnathan Ross.🙄

One hundred per cent, at least.

Horrible, horrible man. I've seen him behaving crudely towards so many women guests on his awful show, and him and his brother Paul judging women's appearance very nastily. Years ago Paul (a charmer...) was on a reality show with Abi...someone or other - she was in the news at the time...) and he was critiquing her appearance and quite seriously telling her what was wrong with her face. Was he himself a vision of male beauty? No, he was not.

I feel desperately sorry for Jonathan Ross's daughter, Honey Kinney, who has suffered online abuse due to not being perceived as conventionally pretty and slim. I think the poor woman has been utterly screwed up by being brought up the environment described above. I wonder if JR ever reflects on his sexist attitudes, now his daughter has suffered misogynistic abuse herself?

I'm glad it's not just me! He seems just short of the stitched forehead and bolt through the neck. But that doesn't mean I don't like him!! 😀

I adore him! It just adds to his charm for me😍

I'd be on him like a rat up a drainpipe but I doubt I'd be athletic enough to get too far 😂

I used to fancy Huw too 🙃 My best friend and I used to be obsessed with him when we were about 17. We even wrote a song to the tune of What I Go To School For by Busted called What I Watch The News For 🤣

HRTQueen · 15/10/2024 14:32

I seem to like moody miserable men 🙄and he often came across this way. My radar was completely off there

Supersares · 15/10/2024 16:48

ChanelBoucle · 13/10/2024 18:03

David Beckham these days. He was beautiful in his twenties but good God nowadays I think he’s creepy af and rather repulsive 🤮

I’m agree, what’s happened to him? Men often get better with age but it worked the other way for him. He was SO fit in his 20’s!!

Newsenmum · 15/10/2024 16:54

CrowleyKitten · 14/10/2024 22:49

he was lovely when he came into our shop. he was getting pretty mobbed by customers for selfies and autographs, and he was endlessly patient and chatty with them all. I know I would get pissed off pretty quickly if my life was like that. he really went up in my estimations that day.

That’s good to know. I’ve always liked how he comes across.

PixieLaLar · 15/10/2024 18:28

Jeremy Clarkson looks like an old overstuffed turkey….

PixieLaLar · 15/10/2024 18:32

Dwayne Johnson when he does that single eyebrow lift makes me feel nauseous.

Russell Brand

Absolutely. Whenever I see something about him I feel like I should give my eyeballs a good scrub.

MrsAngelaSchrute · 15/10/2024 21:52

I always got a weird letchy vibe from "big", sex and the city. Then he was actually accused of stuff in real life recently.

DisabledDemon · 15/10/2024 21:50

Absolutely. Whenever I see something about him I feel like I should give my eyeballs a good scrub.

He is absolutely disgusting. I was always baffled as to how anyone could find him remotely attractive and he's definitely got worse with age. I totally believe he is capable of everything he's been accused of

Udonoodles4Tea · 16/10/2024 10:40

Rod Stewart - have even had nightmares about him breaking into my house

newnamethanks · 16/10/2024 11:23

Oh poor old Rod, that's a bit much but am still laughing - sorry - at the image it conjured up. With Mrs Rod pursuing him with her PCSO truncheon and taser.

gmor6787 · 16/10/2024 11:58

Andy Peters. Can’t stand him. Narcissistic and talentless
Loraine Kelly. Comes over all sweetness. You don’t get where she’s got being sweet.
switch off when they come on tv.

Urgh I forgot about Lorraine Kelly. 'Too sweet to be wholesome' comes to mind but without even pulling off the sweet bit properly.

Editing to add - in her defence, female celebrities seem to have to pick a pathway. Eg sweetness personified / purring sex kitten / spicy domme sex kitten with claws etc. Only a small number manage to escape and manage to simply be 'enigmatic'. Actresses can escape too by lying low between roles.

Nowandforeveridontcare · 16/10/2024 13:23

The Lorraine Kelly one is interesting…I wonder if she is horrible in real life???
