For me the biggest one is Jacob Rees Mogg. He puts the fear of God in me. He reminds me of some villain in a horror film. If I see him on TV or a picture of him I actually get the chills.

I also find a really unsettling energy about Louis Walsh and David Walliams.

David walliams
John Travolta. Loved him in grease but always creeped me out in later movies and interviews

chipsaway · 14/10/2024 18:27

Oh and Sam Smith.

Nowandforeveridontcare · 14/10/2024 19:24

What happened to John travolta, seemed so nice, now just quite weird in interviews, if he ever does them

Orangewinegum8481 · 14/10/2024 20:00

Stephen Mulhern
Noel Edmonds

Sunrise1815 · 14/10/2024 20:29

That time Keith Chegwin went naked. That creeped me out!

Ian Duncan Smith

my husband is disabled, so when he resigned, we stretched to a bottle of fizzy. good riddance to the nasty little man.

Evilartsgrad · 14/10/2024 21:35

What is this thread? See how much utterly subjective mud people can sling and if any will stick?

Yeuk.

And yet here you are with your "utterly subjective" opinion and dodgy mud analogy that doesn't even work well 🥴

Tom Hanks. He's given me the creeps for years, just something not right about him. He seemed OK when he was younger, but past 10 years or so, I can't put my finger on it, just something off about him.

Yes, me too. Something too wholesome/everyman/guy next door about him; I don't believe it. Didn't he go on Epstein's private plane a great deal?

He's so sanctimonious

and he's a terrible interviewer. he talks over the guests, and sometimes says some really insensitive things.
why he is SO highly paid, I have no idea. he's rubbish at his job.

I mentioned David Jason. I've never heard, read or searched anything on him. He just gives me the creeps - which is what the original question was about. Just a feeling that when he pops his clogs, there might be stuff that comes out about him.

same. I didn't even know there WERE any rumours about him, he just makes me uncomfortable

Apparently there is a rumour that he kept bad company

@2MargerinesOnTheGo "Goodness @CurlewKate you are still on this thread. You must be a glutton for punishment."

<shrugs> There is a horrid fascination with seeing humanity at its worst.

It's like an insight into how mob mentality forms isn't it
'Ooh I don't like him, it's VIBES'
'Yes, dead behind the eyes'
'My third cousins wife knew his brother in law a bit and he didn't like him,'
'I knew it!'
'Gut instinct'
'Well that settles it, we can't all be wrong'
And so on and so on.

Before anyone says 'why are you on the thread then (yawn)' it's because sometimes for the few talking sense it's nice to hear someone else agrees
Also I had email notifications 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can turn off email notifications, then you wouldn't be bothered by the baying mob.

Newsenmum · 14/10/2024 15:25

Oh really? He comes across as such a sweetheart!

he was lovely when he came into our shop. he was getting pretty mobbed by customers for selfies and autographs, and he was endlessly patient and chatty with them all. I know I would get pissed off pretty quickly if my life was like that. he really went up in my estimations that day.

DalRiata · 14/10/2024 11:45

Chrissie Teigan comes across as incredibly nasty and callous. Her face is very creepy, like an evil waxwork. Her husband John Legend must be a creep also, to want to be with her

Chrissy Teigan reminds me of Chucky.

Nowandforeveridontcare · 14/10/2024 23:39

@CrowleyKitten Which interviewer?

CyanMaker · 14/10/2024 23:51

Donald Trump

CrowleyKitten · 15/10/2024 00:01

Nowandforeveridontcare · 14/10/2024 23:39

@CrowleyKitten Which interviewer?

Eamon Holmes. I always hated seeing him interview people on this morning, especially if the subject of the interview was something more sensitive. he just talks over everyone, and is very tactless

wanttokickoffbutcant · 12/10/2024 18:09

I have a completely irrational dislike of an ITV London news presenter - Duncan Golestani (??. Gives me the willies and I have to turn over.......something about his eyes but I can't pin down what. Husband thinks I am strange and I am sure he is a very nice man but just no.

That's so funny, I agree there's something about his eyes, but I find it really compelling in a good way. Almost ethereal 😆

Drinkdrinkduuurink · 15/10/2024 01:57

Yeah Nicky comes across really well. Those family reunited shows he takes part in are lovely.

A lot of mentions for David Walliams; yes he's quirky but I loved him on Rock Profile (before Little Britain) so cannot agree. Here he is as Lee from Steps (accompanied with plastic bag).

Greg Davies gives me the creeps. I'm sure he's a perfectly pleasant man but I can't watch anything he's in. It's really odd but I also can never seem to remember his name, I always have to google him!

I like Greg Davies, and he comes over as a nice man - not over confident and not the usual celebrity-narcissist, but...

It might be his extraordinary height, or his slightly awkward demeanour - I don't know, but he always reminds me of Frankenstein's monster in the early films - or of Herman Munster in the TV series from the 60s (don't know if anyone here can remember that!).

But having said that, I still think he's handsome, so I'm the weird one here!

CoffeeCantata · 15/10/2024 07:16

Someone mentioned Jeremy Irons. I think JI is/was incredibly attractive, urbane and handsome but I think it was 'Dead Ringers' that did it for me. That film was VERY creepy and I can't think of him without that any more.
