Coldplay presale

Abbylikeswine · 24/09/2024 10:58

Has anyone signed up for the Coldplay presale? This is for the dates that they are playing next year in Wembley and Hull.

I think that we are supposed to get an email about it tomorrow

Surely there should be a better fucking system then queueing for three hours and it telling me I'm temporarily blocked because it thinks im a bot. And it seems like there is absolutely no way to unblock yourself.

Why doesn't it have a thing like "answer these three questions to prove you're human".

And why didn't it tell me it thought I was a bot while I was in the queue?

Instead of making me wait three hours and only telling me at point of purchase.

It's so annoying!

Oh no Abby that’s terrible! This whole system is totally useless isn’t it?!

Excited101 · 26/09/2024 11:59

Loads if twitter is anything to go by @Winteriscominginfast

pantomanto · 26/09/2024 12:01

The September queue is goi g quicker than August. No update for my August queue I. Terms of availability.

There has to be an easier way.

CherryValley5 · 26/09/2024 12:04

New update: All ticket types still available for September. Sitting at 13.5k in the queue, could there be a glimmer of hope?!

youngestisapsycho · 26/09/2024 12:04

sept 3rd...I'm down to 5200 🙏

I don't think a lot of people will be able to go in mid week September. Only people in London and surrounding areas. So yeah you might have a good chance there

I’m in Northern Ireland - if I get a ticket I’ll certainly be flying over to London midweek!

There is a better one.

Both London cricket grounds that host test and other international matches have a ballot system. About a three week window to apply.

The law should require this of large venues.

Would you be able to get over in time after work, and be back home in time for work the next day?

You could say that you could take annual leave. But my job doesn't give annual leave out when I want. I can ask and it can get refused.

Have you tried logging in on our phone though?

TokyoSushi · 26/09/2024 12:09

Still 80696 in 31/8 queue here! 🤣

I’m trying for Thursday night. Friday is my day off so really I only need to take 1 day of annual leave which should be absolutely fine - I never have any issues with requests being denied. I’m sure that lots of other people are the same, or have the option to work remotely if it came to it.

As you can see from the level of demand I’m fairly sure that lots of people are willing to travel or move their schedule around to fit!

youngestisapsycho · 26/09/2024 12:14

1500 and moving fast!

CherryValley5 · 26/09/2024 12:14

8840 - there is hope!!!

"I never have any issue with requests being denied"

That's great. Youre lucky!

In my last job, and my current job, we are only allowed to take annual leave depending on staffing levels, and also depending on how many other people have already booked it off.

My last three requests for annual leave were refused.

I was logged into ticketmaster on my phone the whole time.

I never used a laptop

If I was close to London I would defo go midweek in sept. We've got the kids back in school then though. You're definitely in with a chance. I started at 22k for 30 Aug & for 4 tickets
It's such an unpredictable system

Hope it to try again tomorrow for friends who seem to have missed out.

Birdseyetrifle · 26/09/2024 12:18

Oh can you use a laptop/desktop then? Sorry I'm sure you've probably tried but i'm just hoping

TravellingSpoon · 26/09/2024 12:19

Abbylikeswine · 26/09/2024 10:39

To the people that got in to buy tickets.

How much were they please?

£484 for 5 seated Wembley tickets on the 27th.

It'll just send me to the back of the queue again though bird's-eye. So I don't think there'll be any tickets left anyway.

I'll do it again and just leave myself in the queue all day and just see what happens anyway.

All queues including September dates are showing at over 150000 So that's a lot of people

OP posts:
BoilingHotand50something · 26/09/2024 12:24

I paid pretty much double what @TravellingSpoon paid for 5 tickets. Eeek! I panic bought because I got to the front of the queue just as I was due at an appointment. Just looked and they are absolutely cracking seats. I joined the waiting room at 8.45, was around 9000th in the queue when the sale started and got the tickets around 9.40 so sounds like I got lucky, albeit poor! DD has had a horrific time lately though so will be over the moon.

Winteriscominginfast · 26/09/2024 12:24

Surely it's a monopolies issue? That one company has such a hold over the world isn't on.
